Hades || m || alpha || mentions : @Sasha @Jaguar @Tarill @Nico @Eplida @Medics @pack He had barely calmed down as he heard the loud yell of the beta. He felt his blood freeze as he realized her words... "Jaguars dead." It repeated in his head over and over again. He felt his fade as he fell unconscious. He heard the faint barks of alarm yet he did not wake. Terrible images flashed through his head, the pups laying dead by the lurker, his mate laying dead, his pack members one by one falling dead. He found himself trapped in a nightmare that he could not wake up from. He had passed out merely from stress and shock.

Taríll | Female | Alphas Mate | Mentions: Hades (dir), Sasha (dir), Jaguar (dir), Open. - The Beta ran back into the camp with a scream, announcing that Jaguar was dead. The females mind went immediately to The Lurker, she looked at her mate who seemed to have fainted from the absolute shock of the announcement. Taríll's eyes widened and her ears flattened, her lips pulled back and she snarled. A snarl escaped her mouth as her gaze took to the ground, how could she have let this happen? It was all her fault, a pack member has been killed. The still snarling female walked slowly up to the Beta Female, her eyes not leaving the woods until she got to Sasha. Her fur had fluffed up from anger. "It was The Lurker. Wasn't it." It wasn't a question, a statement really, she wanted confirmation. She would find that devilish creature and send it back to the hell in which it came. It had harmed far to many wolves, what would happen of it wasn't killed?

Sasha | F | Beta - Swallowing down the whimper in her voice, she nodded at Tarril. "Yes, it was." she said quietly. "We went out on a walk, but then she smelled something and ran off-- when I found her she was dead." Sasha shook her head in grief. The attack an Azalea was bad enough. Now a packmember was dead. I want to kill that beast. Even if it means dying. Sasha thought grimly.Turning back to the alpha, she asked: "What do you want us to do?"

Squirrel|M|Hunter "Jaguar's dead?" Squirrel asked in disbelief. "Was it the lurker?" His questions weren't directed to anyone in particular, but more out of grief.

Kodiak | M | Warrior Kodiak got up and walked over to the others. He had over heard what had happened. Jaguar is dead. It should have been him. He just could not stop thinking about all the wolves injured and now Jaguar ends up dead. He was a warrior. It was his job to protect everyone. So why did he keep failing. He kept his head bowed as he walked up to the others. He was going to make sure no other wolves got injured or killed as long as he was there. He was going to protect everyone even at the cost of his own life. Edited at October 18, 2023 06:40 PM by TheSkeletalHuskyPack

Stormrunner | F | Mother Storm felt a tear run down her face. She lifted her head up and half howled, half whimpered out of grief. The amount of loss in this place was getting to be too much. Everything happening made her feel so bad about being pregnant, bringing new lives into this. She knew instantly when Jaguars death was announced that it was the lurker that did it, even without anyone telling her. What else could've killed Jaguar? They weren't hunting, so it couldn't have been caribou. First the alpha was injured, then her sister, and now Jaguar was... Dead. Dead, she thought, gone for good. She hates the lurker. It kills for absolutely no reason. It preys on victims just to leave them frozen in time, not for any purpose. It was a cruel, heartless, beast. She felt bad for Jaguar, dying such a pointless death. She was just out for a walk, and this had happened. But she also felt bad for Kodiak. He must feel so bad. He probably blames himself, knowing he is supposed to protect the pack. He probably thinks he's failing at his job, Storm thought to herself. She walked out of the den where she was sitting with her sister, and howled loud, out of grief, anger, hate, fear, self contempt. She wasn't herself anymore. The lurker was changing everything for the worse. Changing her for the worse. She knew she was too emotional. And that was the day, she started to stop caring. Stop feeling. Block out all her emotions because all they caused were pain. This was the day she started to turn evil. Edited at October 18, 2023 07:00 PM by Haunted River
