Adrian Blake
Male~17~Intermediate~Mentions: Raid, NPC family

Adrian's eyes widened as his younger friend stalked away. He was pretty sure she was crying. Barely conflicted for a second, he jogged after her, already formulating what to say in his head.
Adrian had a very technical mind, and emotions were not his strong suit, especially since he'd grown up in a family that almost never showed emotion. Running a hand through his hair, he tried to think, but nothing came.
he finally caught up to her, out of breath, and slightly pink in the cheeks from exertion.

"Woah, button. I didn't mean to make you upset. It was just a question."
Her words caught up with him, and he considered them as he gulped in fresh air.
"They won't hate you. Unless they're assholes. Pardon my French."
He winced. Usually, he tried not to use too much language in general, especially around his younger siblings/friends, but he was trying to convince her that they'd like her.
"But we can go see the horses first. I think they already have the pairings up at the stables. Or...if you want I can just go? I don't want to make you more mad."
Adrian was already dropping back a few steps. He didn't want his only friend at this godforsaken camp to be mad at him. There must be something going on, cause she rarely got honestly mad at him. He bit his lip.
If she was mad at him, what would he do? It seemed that the other teens at the camp already were forming their own "rich kids" cult, and even though his family was rich, they didn't seem to care. No one had made an effort to talk to him, besides Raid. Adrian shifted uncomfortably, and time seemed to slow. He knew he would be sharing his dorm. Maybe the guy his was sharing it with would be nice, and talk to him too. And if Raid was mad at him, hopefully her bunk mate would be nice too.
An odd thought struck him. Maybe even love would blossom at the camp. Probably not for him though. Most likely for the rich trio. He rolled his eyes, annoyed that they didn't seem to want anyone else to join them.
Adrian focused all his attention on Raid, and waited for her response. They were almost at the stables, he could tell. The smell of horse sweat, manure, fresh hay and grass, and leather were already hitting his nose.

He couldn't help but take a deep breath. He had never disliked horses, and loved the smell of a warm horse on any day. Hopefully Raid and him would get back on good terms, and the summer could go mildly well, even if it was just her he had to talk with.

Joaquin Driscoll

17 | Rider | Male | Mentions: Other Riders [ Raid & Adrien - ind. ] , Rouge, George, & Klotho - Directly

Joaquin was pleasantly surprised with conversation with the new conversation between these newcomers. Hmm, so they weren't stuck up or snobbish. That he could work with, and he gave a mischievous grin to the companions as he head her complain about being dragged here. " Dearest heavens, so formal, enchanting ruby haired lady." He said with the pompous and flair of a refined kid as he gave a very dramatic bow towards her, " of course," he said bobbing his head in her comment regards to the relatives, " they'd very much rather have their children out of sight than face their own problems. I'd very happily smuggle you into town when I go, could use some excitement around here, it feels like it's going to be a bit bland."

He listened intently as she mentioned it was a hummer and he gave an impressed hum of approval, " Hummer's are the superior limos. Mine back home is pink, because why not? Auntie decided I needed one since my parents didn't care to let me get out. " and he gave a smile at the compliment to his car, " Ah, thank you. My darling Baby Blue is my pride and joy, refurbished most of her myself. Was a steal in auction and spent most of time tinkering her and working on her. I agree her color is very nice, I'm hoping to get some nicer tires though."

And he raised a brow at the mention of no service and a mischievous grin crossed his face saying. " Now, now," he said in a teasing chide, " who said there would be no Wi-Fi?" And with that he brandished 5 black personal hotspots, " if boarding school taught me anything, you need to have a backup personal hotspot on you for any occasion, besides how would you get to record your time here if it actually turns out to be nice."

He then tossed her and her companion one. After all he wouldn't need all of them. And he connected to his phone and was overjoyed when the sweet sign of a signal was saw on his phone and he then noted the newcomer. And how the red haired girl looked at him and had to release a small snicker at her immediately thinking of ways to fashionize the boy that was standing before them. And he gave a frown at her mentioning him being like Lawbringer. And he gave a scandalized gasp "Lawbringer? No, no, no," he said as he looked at the boy "Desperado all day long. Just give him the white shirt, the black boots, and pants and, bam, Desperado." He said looking at his fellow redhead with a devious smirk.

" What day you dearest. Also, the names Joaquin Driscoll, I might've seen you at some events in the background but I'm not sure. " he said as he gave the girl a smile and then saying, " what's your name?" He said turning his attention to the newcomer boy, his pale eyes having his attention on the boy, them being set off by the cat eye liner.

Forest Wilson
Delinquent | Advanced Rider | F | 17 years old | M: Everyone(ind)

Walking into the building, Forest noticed the entire group of other people. It was obvious at least three of the kids were the richest ones here. Forest roll her eyes and just brushed passed the group before noticing two others not too far off. A boy and a girl. The girl seemed to be crying and she just rolled her eyes again. "Fucking softies.." she mumbled as she took her hair down from the messy bun it was in.

Forest soon stopped when she noticed the one girl run passed and then the boy follow. "Hey! Could you maybe watch where the fuck you're going!" She stated a loud. Forest then just leaned up against the wall, waiting for the instructors to show up so she could get on a horse and get the hell away from these people. She got on her phone and texted her aunt back before she realized there wasn't any signal. "Well, luckily I bought my own hotspots.." she mumbled with a small laugh to herself.

Raid Coleman

| F | 14 | Beginner rider | M: Forest(ind), Adrian, Zona(ind) and her family(ind)
As Raid walked away guilt pulled at her. She really hadn't meant to blow up at Adrian and to be honest she had no idea why. She usually never got upset like that. Unless it was about promises, but Adrian hadn't really talked about promises much before so she didn't have a problem. She sighed, realizing why she had gotten upset. Today was the day her father left. The day of a big fat lie being broken. Ill be back, Raid, he said. I just need to do something, he said. Her stupid innocent self believed him. She wiped a tear away that managed to slip out as she ignored a girl that yelled at her. She then heard Adrian's footsteps behind her. A small smile peeked onto her face. He cared, he cared she was hurting. That was usually all she wanted, for someone to care. Just as she heard Adrian basically right behind her she accidentally bumped into an instructor. Taking the opportunity, she carefully grabbed the phone out of the instructor's pocket and slipped it into her own. "Sorry." She mumbled before walking away. That's when Adrian caught up to her. She listened to his words with a sigh. Raid was slightly shocked at his language because he rarely said stuff like that around her. Even with the knew language Raid didn't let emotions creep onto her face as they walked.
.
She was debating what to say, so she didn't answer right away and instead just kept quiet. When she heard him say he could go and he dropped back a few steps Raid stopped dead in her tracks and grabbed his hand. "No, i dont want to you to go. Im not really mad at you." Was all she said before letting go of his hand and continuing to walk. Raid let go of his hand because she wasn't going to force him to come. She knew had been a little hasty with the hand grab but she really didn't want him to go. She wanted someone to care and he was the only one. Well, maybe the instructor's cared a little bit but that was different. It was kinda their job to care. Adrian on the otherhand didn't have to care. He honestly could be with the rich kids right now but yet he was here. Raid took a deep breath when the all the horseie sents came full force, flooding into her nose. This was were she belonged.
.
When they reached the stables Raid stopped and turned to Adrian. She normally didn't get to touchy, but despite that, she hugged him. She had never really given him a hug before so she wasn't surprised if he just stood there. "Im sorry for getting upset." She mumbled as she hugged him. Just a second later she let go of the hug and walked into the stables. She didn't really want to see his reaction so she made sure not to look at him. He's probably just standing there stunned, Raid thought with a small giggle. The truth is though, she needed that hug. Even though it was only for five short seconds she already felt better. With that Raid began looking at all the horses. They were all so beautiful she could hardly keep herself from petting them all. When she heard Adrian's footsteps behind her she stopped again and turned to him. As she looked him in the eyes she debated wether she should explain her actions. After a while she decided to tell him a small portion. He was the person who had to deal with her outbreak so wasn't it only fair? Raid decided that she wouldn't necessarily tell him all her feelings, but she would tell him why she blew up and why she was on the verge today.
.
"Today is the day my father abandoned my family, so im a little on the edge. I guess the reason why i didn't want to talk to the others is because i dont want to feel more rejected than i already am." Raid said, keeping her emotions at bay. The whole two sentences barely had any emotion. There was a hint of sadness but otherwise, nothing. This was those time she would bury her feelings so deep down they never could come back until she relaxed. This was those times her stare becomes blank and almost lifeless. Knowing that was happening she looked away from Adrian and to the horses. As she waited for his answer she scanned the horses, taking in their behavior, yet still fully aware what Adrian was saying. She couldn't help but somewhat stare at a chestnut mare that had caught her eye. Even from here she looked like an amazing horse. She let her mind wonder for a bit, a question on her mind, which horse would she get? She let herself think about this but at the slightest sound of Adrian's voice she would snap back to reality.

Adrian tensed as she wrapped her arms around him. Since his family was pretty much devoid of emotion, physical touch was not a thing, unless you accidentaly touched someone's hand while trying to take the bowl of Caviar. He stood there stalk still, trying to let his brain catch up. One second she was yelling at him, the next, hugging him and running off.
He collected himself, and followed her into the barn. At first he thought they'd just stand there in pleasent silence, but no, she was talking.
She explained that her father had left, and he hesitated for a moment, hating that she was burying her emotions away, not letting him see how she felt, barely letting herself see how she felt.
He slug an arm over her shoulder in a brotherly way, trying to come up with something to say that wasn't cliche and annoying. Since her father hadn't died, just left, he couldn't say he was sorry, or offer any kind of condolences. Since she hid her emotions well, he couldn't say "good riddance" Because what if she still loved him? Instead, he side hugged her, and gave her a sad smile.
"Oh, button...that's rough. But don't worry. I'll always be here for you."
It still sounded cheesy and annoying to him, but reassurance is key. He slowly took a deep breath, and gazed out at the pasture.
"I wish I knew what to say. If Kit were here, he'd know. Maybe I should set you two up."
He laughed to himself, and started to try and tell the horses apart. None of them were incredibly similar, but still. They were all vaguely horse-shaped.
He'd heard that just like the teens at the ranch, these horses were also be giving a second chance. Which probably meant they were problematic, and hard to ride.
That might have bothered him some other day, but that day, not so much. If he was going to be stuck here, maybe he could form some kind of bond with whichever one he got paired up with.
"Do you wanna go check the pairings list? I think there might be one down here. Or there's one up at the check in building, along with a dorm pairings list."
He sighed at the thought. He was still getting used to the fact that he'd be sharing a room. It was kind of unfair in his opinion, but he'd have to live with it. He was also curious as to who it was. One of the rich kids? Maybe they could commiserate. With that thought, he turned back to Raid, to wait for her response.

Casimir
Horse | Akhal-Teke/Mustang Mix | M | 4.6 | Mentions: Parking Lot Group (ind.), and NPCs (dir.)

In a small pasture by him was a beautiful stallion. His coat was glossy under the sun, while his mane and tail were seemingly made of silk. His head was lowered to the ground, his teeth ripping the grass. Casimir was the stallion's name. His name wasn't said with affection to the workers at this ranch. The horse was known for his aggressive behavior towards anyone. His relationship is negative with humans and horses alike. His behavior when he first arrived here was horrible. His behavior was unpredictable to the point no one dared to approach him. The workers had to hold him in place to trim his hooves, brush his coat, or comb his mane and tail.

His attitude shifted thanks to the patience of the people who owned this place. Casimir has met with behaviorists who helped with his so-called temperament. With their aid, it benefits everyone, even Casimir. Hearing the sound of vehicles pulling up, then unfamiliar voices made the stallion's ears pin back against his head. The horse lifted his head, shifting his chocolate brown eyes settled on the parking lot. His eyes scrutinized the tiny humans, distaste burning in his eyes. "There's too many two-legs as is. Why is there more?" He shook his head, his mane swishing side to side. Still, the stallion walks casually to the fence line to get a better look at the new faces.

Casimir stops inches away from the fence. It would be a barricade between him and those daring to give him physical touch. His eyes inspect an unusually long vehicle drive down the road before disappearing. He turns his gaze to a red-hair girl, then pulls his ears forward in curiosity. Her facial expression was displeasure, with Casimir snorts, watching as another girl left her trailer and joined the other. A few minutes flew by, with the group consisting of four people. He watches them for a bit before losing interest in them. He turns around and walks to a tree in the pasture to lie down under the shade. That was until he heard two sharp whistles, making the horse's walk turn into a trot. He was moving away from the source of the whistles. He already knew what was going on.

"Casimir! Come!" A feminine voice called out to him, making him stop in his tracks, turning his head around to stare at the person. It was a worker of this place, his caretaker, and the person he gives a hard time. She was posted outside the pasture's gate, waiting for his arrival. "Nope." If only the two legs were able to understand him. So, he had to resort to an upset whiny. Loud and full of anger that's steadily increasing. Casimir looked away, then kept going towards the tree. The woman huffs, deviousness in her eyes of green, "Guess someone doesn't want some tasty carrots." He halts his steps once more, twisting his neck to gaze at her. In her hands were four carrots that were thoroughly washed.

He could've sworn he could hear them call him. The horse stood there for a minute, only for his legs to carry him in her direction. Casimir's walk turned to a trot, then a gallop to reach the woman at the pasture's gate. He slowed his speed when he steadily closed the distance, hesitation swirling in his head. "Oh, Casi." Her voice was soft when speaking with the horse. She tossed a carrot at the ground in front of his feet. The stallion declines his head, sniffing the carrot cautiously to see if it's been tampered with. He takes one small bite, chewing it for a bit to test it out before taking a large bite. With the carrot completely devoured, Casimir stepped closer to his caretaker.

It took a bit, but his caretaker finally managed to put a halter and lead on. All it took was the bribery of carrots and her soothing voice to sway him to her side. His caretaker leads him to his stall, but his uncomfortableness grows with every approach to the stables. It didn't help that so many people were racing by him, causing him to pull back on the lead. As if sensing his presence, the workers made sure to steer clear of him to give him space. His nostrils were flaring, inhaling the scent of the many people and horses here. They paused outside his stall, and he yanked back hard on the lead. His caretaker sighed, it did take her by surprise, but she remained calm. "Easy, boy. Fresh oats and bedding is waiting for you."

He stomped his hooves on the concrete floor in displeasure. His sides rose and fell rapidly as his fear was overwhelming. His caretaker paused, then asked someone for aid. Casimir watches another woman enter his stall, opening the door in the back of the pen that leads to a small, fenced enclosure. Seeing the extra space, he calmed down and followed her into his stall. She removed his lead but kept his halter on. "Something must be happening. Training, perhaps?" Hearing his stall door shut and lock, the stallion walks over to the metal bars to peek in-between them.

Raid Coleman

| F | 14 | Beginner rider | M: Adrian, her mom(ind) and Kit(ind)
The side hug, her nickname and the reassurance made some feelings bubble back up. That was...weird. Raid had became a master and hiding her feelings...yet she felt some. What was she feeling...sadness? Yet confort, so it wasn't that bad. When she was little, she had a good relationship with her dad, and she had no idea why he left. Except because they were poor, but if you really cared for someone that wouldn't matter. Adrian was a perfect example of that. He cared for Raid and therefore sticks around. She let herself relax, letting even more feelings come. What was that....happiness? Well Adrian was here, so that made sense. Oh wait, another one...hurt. This was so foreign to Raid she kinda just stood there, trying to figure out what to do. She was beginning to realize that Adrian might be getting more defenses down and becoming closer to her heart than she realized. They had knew eachother for about 5 years but it felt like forever. It helped that he always seemed to understand. Even now, when he didn't know what to say, it seemed perfect. He was right, it was rough and it hurt. She was also glad that he'd always be here for her. She realized that was kind of a promise but she shook it off, telling herself it actually wasn't.
.
She couldn't help but laugh quietly when Adrian talked about Kit. She didn't know much about him, she didn't even know what he looked like, but she did know what Adrian had told her about him. It was mostly bad things...but there was also some good things...so that was good? Either way she just had to make a comment. "First of all, i dont need a therapist, second, do you really think i would be a good influence on him? Like seriously Adrian, your talking to a master theif." Her voice was back to being filled with her sarcasm even though she was still feeling her emotions. Luckily now they weren't as bad because she pondered them for a minute. She then let the silence fill the room, or should a say barn, for a couple minutes, enjoying the hug. She paused for one more quick minute before putting her hand into the pocket she had put the stolen phone into. She grabbed it out and held it up for Adrian to see. "Speaking of Kit, i now have my very own phone...well once i reset it, that is. But i wonder how hr would react to...i dont know...a prank call? If he happens to tell your parents ill be the one to blame, not you. Not that he's met me, he will have no idea who i am." She said, turning to Adrian with a smirk. She had no idea why the thought popped into her head but it seemed like something fun to do. If he said no, that was oh well, she would just do it to somebody eles, but it would be fun to do it to Kit. She let herself lay her head on Adrian's shoulder for a second with a content sigh before breaking away from the hug.
.
She wasn't very good with phones but she had watched someone do it before so she able to get into the phone. Once she was actually on the phone's home screen she hit the factory reset. Before long it was practically a brand new phone. With that out of the way she handed it to Adrian. "I only somewhat know how to get into a phone, not work it, so can you please make it so i can call and text you when i want? And if you want to prank call your brother do that for him too." She paused for second, realizing it sounded more of a demand than asking. "But you dont have to of course. Only if you want me on there...I just thought it'd be nice. That way, when this camp thing is over we dont have to meet by chance we can actually talk. I'll just need to make sure mom dosent see, then it will be perfect." She said with a slight smile. "Also, for the prank call, if you want to, what should i even say? I can barely talk to you without messing up, how can i talk to your brother?" Raid quickly realized her mistake and quickly added, "Wait, that's not what i meant. I meant when we first met, not now. I can talk to you just fine now."

Klotho Marika Sauvage Fawzi
Rider/Delinquint | Female | 17 Years | Mentions: Rouge, Joaquin, George

The girls grin morphed into a laugh at her full name, shaking her head gently. Her full name was certainly a mouthful, a tongue twister to rival the best of them, and there were few that she'd heard that could consistently say the string of words fluidly. Unfortunately, her mother was definitely one of them, as she'd found out quite young.

"I regret ever telling you my middle names," she teased, folding her arms loosely across her chest, snickering at the others words. "Had to put you in cuffs and all, did they? Drag you through the dust and dirt and plant you right here?" She asked in jest, raising a brow. That would be a sight, Rouge being dragged out of her limo in cuffs, thrashing against her captors as they forced her to spend time in the dirt and among horses. The image had her chuckling, shaking her head again, as if to rid her mind of the ridiculous thought.

At the mention of her silver tongue, she poked it out of her mouth, gently placing her teeth against it just behind the percing, scrunching up her face teasingly. When another joined them, she brought her tongue back into her mouth, giving the redhead an appraising look. He was well-dressed, had an air of money around him, and she knew she'd found herself in the presence of another rich kid. She rarely minded the company of other rich children, but she often found them more entitled then she liked to be--she'd made conscious efforts to teach herself how privileged she was and to take the struggle of others into account.

"Oh, please, take me with you," she added, reaching a hand down to tap the outline of a wallet in her pocket. "What kind of daughter would I be if I didn't spend daddy's money?" Her voice lifted in pitch, as if she were a small child begging her parents for candy in a store, rolling her eyes with a small smile.

Another boy joined them, a boy who certainly wasn't of their tax bracket, and she almost winced. She had a feeling that Rouge, at least, would have some kind of comments for the boy, and she wasn't quite sure of their new acquaintance.

Her wince became physical as they started talking about how to dress the boy, and she sighed, rolling her eyes. "Now, now," she said, voice teasing. "Let's not get ahead of ourselves, you can't dress him if he doesn't want you to," she added, shaking her head, as if not surprised they hadn't thought about it.

"Don't feel pressured to give in to them," she added, directing her words to the boy, voice losing the teasing quality. "I know they can be a bit much, but you can say no." Klotho turned, frowning for a second as if in thought. "My name's Klotho, and come on," she gestured towards Rouge and Joaquin. "I'm not sure about you," she said, nodding to the unnamed boy. "But we haven't signed in yet, and my father is going to skin me if I don't attend this camp, and that starts with signing in."

Romanticized
Lusitano Stallion | 9 Years | Barn Name: Alvaro | Mentions: Humans [Ind.]

The sound of tires crunching on dirt road was not something unfamiliar to the stallion, though he didn't find it overly comforting either. Every time he was in a trailer it was because he was getting transported to someone else, to become someone else's problem. Still, now that all his legs were working properly, he still felt the excitement that maybe he'd get to be out and about again.

The soft squeak of breaks as the truck pulled into the parkinglot had Roman's ears pricking, his head lifting as he he peered out of the window they had opened for him on the drive. He snorted and then let out a whinny, the sound echoing in the trailer before carrying out of it. Pawing at the ground, he shifted his weight and tugged at his lead rope, angling his attention towards the back doors as someone headed towards them.

"We weren't sure you were gonna make it in time today," a man's voice spoke, the sound of his shoes on the ground told the stud that the was someone who had approached, as he didn't recognize him.

"We're cutting it pretty close, but we're glad he got cleared so he could come. We didn't want to leave you a horse down after we had to withdraw Doc, so we're glad it all seems to be working out. This guy could use it too, he's been going a bit stir crazy from all the stall rest," a woman's voice joined the man's, and he recognized it as the woman who'd loaded him up earlier that morning.

The creaking sound of the doors unlocking and being lowered had Alvaro rocking back on his hind legs and letting out another sharp whinny followed by a loud blowing out of his nostrils.

"Well we appreciate you guys working with us, Sal. Doctor Inferno would have been a good fit, but this guy Im sure will be just fine. What's his name again?" The man, who he could see now, was an older gentleman, who's dark hair had grey peppered throughout it. There was a kindness to him that the stud decided he liked, but the woman beside him drew his attention in.

"This is Alvaro, though he's better known as Romanticized to the public. He will respond to either name, plus a multitude of nicknames that have been given to him. Isn't that right, big boy?" She answered as she entered the trailed, gently patting his neck to try and calm the stallion. "He hands really well, he just is a pain to stall. I would recommend keeping the paddock door from his stall open, it'll probably make it easier. His files are in the truck if you want to grab them," she called to the man, who nodded and departed from sight.

"Okay boy, let's go," the woman, Sally, untied his lead rope and lead him from the trailer. The Lusitano Stallion walked out happily, a prance to his step as he went. He lifted his tail and let out a neigh as he exited the trailer and shuffled nervously in place.

"Easy," she cooed to him as she walked him around to the side of the trailer, allowing him to take in the sights of his new home.

Alvaro kept his head up, ears pricked and pushed forward as he walked eagerly on the end of his rope. He didn't drag her, but the tense muscles beneath the blanket he wore were a promise that he absolutely could if he wanted to. He paused to aggressively paw at the ground a bit, bobbing his head as he let out a soft snort.

A cluster of younth caught his eye and he craned his neck towards them, but instead of being lead over to them like they wanted, he was lead over to where the older man from before was standing. "He can keep the blanket, it's been with him since we got him, he's used to wearing it at night," Sally said, though she loosened the blanket and then pulled it off of him. The man nodded and gently took it, tucking the folders he was holding beneath his arm as he quickly folded it.

"I'll have one of the instructors come and grab the rest of his tack from the trailer. You can go ahead and take him in, he's in the fourth stall on the right when you get inside," the man instructed, before pulling out a device and speaking into it.

Sally nodded and clicked her tongue at him, before leading him away. The bay stallion snorted, swaying to the side before reluctantly following her, only to stop again and grind his hooves into the ground stubbornly. His ears flicked back and he tossed his head back as he blew out his nose loudly. He didn't want to go to the stables, and that was exactly where she was heading.

"Alvaro," she spoke calmly, taking a step to him and rubbing his neck gently. "It'll be okay, it won't be for long, and I promise you wont just be stalled," she spoke in a soothing tone, and waited for the muscles beneath her hand to relax. Eventually, the Lusitano stud let out a soft neigh and began to walk. While he didn't trust many, this woman was one of the few he did. She had spent more time with him over the last year than anyone else, so, in this new and strange place, he chose to trust her.

It didn't take an absurd amount of time for her to pack away her things, putting just enough on her chosen bunk and desk, as well as dresser, to make it clear she had claimed it. She wasn't sure if she was going to get a roommate, but if she did have one, she hoped they wouldn't come in and just move her stuff.

Glancing at her phone, which had no notifications for once, due to not having any signal, she frowned and slid it into her pocket. She, of course, had brought a hotspot herself, at her mother's insistance, but she didn't plan on using it right now. She didn't see the point. The only one at home she wanted to talk to was Elijah, but she knew he had plans today and wouldn't be consistently texting her if she tried. So, for now it didn't bother her any.

Blue only paused for a brief moment to tug at her sleeves before heading back outside, glancing at the gaggle of teenagers around her age standing in cluster by the front. She had no interest in joining them, so she glanced around and headed towards the stables. Truthfully she hadn't been in one since she found out about her father's affair, as it had just brought up too many memories, but she had to get it out of the way at some point.

Sucking in a breath she headed in that direction, glancing briefly at some of the few who had meandered into the vacinity of the stales but otherwise paying them no mind. It seemed like one girl was trying to act like a hard ass, one of those tough-guy types who leaned against things. Whereas there seemed to be a pair of teens that knew each other, though she couldn't hear or tell what it was they were speaking of. Instead, she focused her attention on the equines in the stalls around her.

There were a plethora of different horses around her, each different from the next. She could see several dark colored horses, with one being a paint, a palomino, a large bay roan, a couple of stunning chestnuts, and an appaloosa. A faint smile traced at her lips and she trailed a hand along the solid wood of the stalls, enjoying the solidity of it beneath her fingers.

She paused in front of a tall, chestnut mare who seemed a bit weathered in appearance, like she had some years on her. "Hello there," she said softly, not really expecting it when the mare flicked her ears in return and lifted her head, before moving forward and reaching towards her with her muzzle. That faint smile grew more prominent on her features as her hands came up to let the mare sniff before petting her gently. "Oh, you're a sweet girl," she murmured, the familiarity of petting a horse soothing her nerves.

When the mare withdrew her head, likely returnign to the hay she was munching on, she took a few more steps before stopping in front of a very large horse. He looked like he was a mix, but that conclusion was just because he was larger than any horse she had ever ridden before. "You're a handsome boy too," she whispered, half to herself and half to him.

A distant whinny coming from the direction of the parkinglot caught her attention and she turned her head to peer out the barn a bit curiously. From here she could see a woman, who was probably about ten years or more older than her, leading a tall bay towards the stables. He didn't seem happy about it, as he pranced nervously behind her, swaying his body to and fro. "Hmm," she vocied, before turning her attention to the horse she stood in front of, and looked around for a name plate. There were empty ones on all the stalls, but it appeared they hadn't been put in yet for these horses. "I wonder what your name is," she said, this time letting her voice drift in a bit louder, though not enough to be intrusive to others.
