Aether | 564 | High Lord (Night Court) | Mentions: Sabela (dir) - Open Aether nodded in agreement. "I'm sure. Some other fae may be slightly annoyed with us not being there already as well, mostly me.." Aether stretched out his wings, closing and opening them dramatically. He lifted them high and fluttered them at first, trying his best not to kick up much dust or any other thing that could annoy him. All Illyrians, he assumed, knew the pains of lifting off but getting a face full of sand or small pebbles. He looked like a child learning for the first time but it didn't matter, so long as he didn't have to deal with dust. Aether beat his wings powerfully as he flew, unintentionally flying far ahead of his Spymaster with his giant wings. "Oh shit-" Aether chuckled, slowing down and hovering in place while he waited for Sabela. "I forget sometimes that my wings grew enough for me to be so far ahead of you." Aether grinned once he saw his Spymaster coming up, it didn't take as long as it would have were it a regular fae member, a small sign of him enjoying himself. He flew with Sabela for the rest of the short flight, occassionally using his gigantic wings to fly ahead and up only to dive down and meet beside the Spymaster. Always smiling the whole time. That smile faded and he went back to his regular expressions of boredom when they landed in the circular area.

Sabela | 554 | Spymaster (Night Court) | Mentions: Mattheo & Lance (Ind.) Embracing the cool air that roared loudly in her ears while in flight her mask would reveal nothing but pure enjoyment and peace, not only in flying but flying with company. The sky was her true home, any time she could spend in the air she would take it in fully never growing tired of the intricate dance of the wind. “Of all the years I have known you for, you don’t think I already know you’d outfly me in distance? Your wings are probably the largest in Illyria, save for maybe Mattheo and Lance.” She would further add with a chuckle. While the High Lord of the Night Court flew upwards into the evening sky only to pivot down beside her, the graceful maiden would bolt in twisting elaborate bursts, tucking her wings in close to her thin bodice only to expand them to their fullest length. She would do this for only a few movements given the short flight. Upon arrival to their destination she ensured to make her entrance well known, she was infamous for her entries to events. Throwing only the slightest gusts of wind in front of her, her face would reveal nothing more than poised elegance. Her bright golden hues would land upon their third in command and a smirk of sheer trouble would spill, for only a brief moment. Soon silently stalking behind Aether to greet Mattheo. “Trouble has arrived.” She would warmly state with a wink before keeping a generally neutral face.

Aether | 564 | High Lord (Night Court) | Mentions; Sabela (dir), Mattheo (dir), Lance (ind) Aether landed with less of flourish compared to Sabela, just a simple and gentle landing on his feet. "Show off." Aether teased, not loud enough for anyone other than her to hear. He liked to keep his playfulness wrapped up in places like these but for that one moment he simply had to. He walked up to his third in command, Mattheo, with a smile reserved for only his small circle of friends and maybe the High Lady of the Day Court. "Hey there Theo! How's it been going here? Not super troublesome I hope." He glanced behind the Lunar to see Lance standing like a body guard by the "throne" and keeping the area mostly clear from regular fae until it was time. The throne was more of a glorified chair he was supposed to sit on because "everyone else had done it". It made him feel stupid. It also made him feel like it made him look like a narcissist and he hated that, majorly because that was the opposite of all he had done throughout his lifetime. ☾ Haunting Veil | High Lady (Autumn Court) | Short Appearance | Mentions; Matthew (ind), Valerie (ind), Cathrine (dir) Haunting had transformed into her full deer form, earlier in the day she had fought with her friends and needed a break.. so this is what she did. She had crossed over Day Court territory to get to this point, since they wouldn't mind. They were busy with a festival, weren't they? A stray deer wouldn't be too troublesome for them, surely. She had made it through easily, encountering nobody up until this point. She slowed near the human boarder, crossing cautiously. There had been no signs of danger when she got there. She made her way through the terrain the humans had to live on. I couldn't imagine living in a world so plain! Haunting thought, trotting along a path animals had made presumably from past years. It seemed to be a path walked on constantly, at least.. in the warmer seasons. Snow would've covered it up in the winter. She stopped to nibble at some grass and as she had just begun she heard the hoofs of a horse. Uh-oh, maybe there's someone around. Haunting huffed, bounding away. Unintentionally she ran straight into the human group. Scared, she fled. Haunting heard the whistling of an arrow fly past her head, likely the arrow from the woman on the horse, which encouraged her to run back the way she came. She ran as quickly as she could, hearing the humans take chase. Safely, and after quite a bit of running, she was back in the Day Court's territory. She slowed, deeming it safe. She headed back to her own territory taking smaller steps as she was tired from the long run.

Caite & Matt | 24 & 28 | Humans | Mentions: Each other, Valerie, Haunting Veil. Aura was the first to notice the white piebald deer and her ears flicked in the direction of the deer's steps. Her eyes catching the small movement and the mare sidestepped when the deer ran into view. Caite almost missed the deer due to Aura's steps and pulled the arrow back letting it fly, a few curses left her lips when she saw the arrow miss its mark. The pelt of the deer would also bring some much needed money. She thought picking up her reins and let Aura race after the deer. Her hand holding the bow also held the reins as she reached for another arrow trying to follow the movement of the lythe deer. Matt was looking in the opposite direction when the deer appeared and Caite let her arrow fly. The sound of Aura taking off in pursuit pulled his attention to the shrinking figure of his cousin and with a look to Valerie, he took off running after Caite. He slipped the pistol back into its holster as he ran using freeing his hands to leap over a fallen tree. His eyes were glued ahead of him but he chanced a couple of glances behind as there was a high chance that he was leaving Valerie behind and he wasn't going to desert the other person that was also without a mount. His heart was thundering in his ears as he slowed taking note that the area around them started to change. "Caite! Catherine!!!" He tried to calm the beating in his head, straining to hear the thundering sounds of Aura's feet, but had seemingly lost his cousin in the eerily quiet woods. He looked back over his shoulder to see if Valerie had followed and find a hold to reality to keep the panic from creeping its way up his throat. The hair that was exposed to the elements stood on end as the male stood tense taking in his surroundings, realizing that he did not recognize the woods that they were in. Caite kept her body close to Aura's body as the pair followed the deer, only losing sight as they raced into the unknown forested area. The young mare arched her neck as the diffence in the area settled across her and she released a whinny while her ears flicked searching for any response. Caite put the arrow she had grabbed back in the quiver on the side of her saddle and reached down to reassure her mount feeling the tension raising in the mount beneath her. "Easy girl. It's okay." She cooed, taking a moment to look behind and noticed that she couldn't see her hunting companions, let alone the trail that they had been following. Panic began to worm its way around her heart and the female pulled the mare to a stop, earning a loud snort accompanied by another whinny as the mare danced in place. Caite scanned the trees around her trying to find something, anything that looked faguely familiar. "Matt....Valerie...." She called out letting Aura walk in a circle. She could go back the way that she had come, but after a few circles, she couldn't tell which direction she had come from and she called out again, "Matthew......." The words beginning to shake. "Valerie...." Aura seemed to tire of the circle and against the command of her rider, the mare took off seemingly in the direction that the deer had also gone. The panicked thundering steps echoed around the pair only quieting when the mare leapt over a fallen tree. Caite held on and tried to rein the mare in as the pair kept racing. The two were so solely locked on each other that they hadn't noticed the thinning of the trees that soon gave way to open grassland that had a warm breeze and the drizzle that had been stopped by the trees was gone. Caite finally got Aura back under control and the got her to stop, finally noticing that they were definitely somewhere they had never been before. "Easy Aura." She whispered running along the sweat covered neck of her mount. The female began to sing softly, feeling the mare begin to quiet under her as she sang. Matt had kept walking along following the direction that it appeared that Caite had gone after the deer, but something cold was gripping his heart with each step. "Do you recognize any of this area Valerie?" He had to say something to stop the unease and quiet that was around them. Edited at December 10, 2023 02:41 PM by FrostyK

Solfrid II High Lady of Day Court II Mentions: Aziel Just as light blue hues started appearing on the horizont, milky glow of a sky before sun starts to rise, dream faded quickly from High Lady's mind. Resolution to begin another beautiful day, keep on going with her plans for the future, quickly woke up petite yet one of the most powerful fae. Like a frail humming bird that suffered through cold night as its heart thumped dangerously slowly, wondering of when it will feel life bringing sunlight once again, she rose elegantly with note of urgency to reach a balcony and just feel the joy of sun rising with her. High Lady Solfrid never overslept for she was in perfect sync with sun cycle. Chills that ran through her arms as her plams grasped glass rail didn't bother her ease. Soft smile rested on her lips, soft grey hues focused on point of contact between earth and sky where glorious star was rising, gracing the world with its presence. Glances of colors were spreading over the sky, chasing away lesser stars that needed darkness of night to be noticable, not one as strong as the sun that took half of time in eternity to be the only one walking on canopy of the universe. Soft wisps of magic trailed from fae's form to inside of the highest chamber in Prismaria, fetching combs, silken clothing and jewelry for their master. There was no need for words nor crowd of maids this early, Solfrid prefered to be by herself in her chambers, especially while she appreciated golden threads reflecting sun's light with every movement she made to shape very long, very luxurious hair fit for a princess. Warmth of her companion was everpresent as she decorated her body with many pretty things, dainty, with mix of floral and sun symbols, wherever there was space to add something she did so. Precious moment had to end once sky took on fully blue tone, signaling true start of the day for most and just like a sun that was ready to greet the wolrd, Solfrid conifdently strode back inside to do the same. Perhaps this time it was slightly different though because there was someone on the other side of doors to her sanctuary, demanding hers attention instead of other way around. Slightly peeved at this fact she stood silently, charming features upturned in distaste she willed away after a few minutes. Whoever the visitor was they were probably important, otherwise they would not have opporunity to be this close to the High Lady of Day Court. "Good morning Aziel" bell-like voice rang cherrily in greeting to warrior fae who was staying at Day Court for a bit, even if it brought him discomfort he was one of a few who knew about arranged marriage, also serving as a witness and protector. 'Protector of a man, not a woman' such idea disappointed her.Incredible Illyrian placed his loyality on her current enemy, soon to become her husband which will not make them any more of a friends. "Is something only higher positioned fae may use when refering to others. It is not about power inbalace thou it may as well could be, honestly, I find that way of thinking much too cruel as well as arrogant. For an order to be kept, you should try your best to uphold the rules otherwise mistakes might get made that lead to greater disarray." With tilt of a head she prompted: "I won't take it as a grave offense when we are in closed quaters, just be mindfull to use proper titles next time, maybe even start with hearfelt greeting like I did instead of sneaking up like a boy at my doors. Cute, yet immature for a fromidable man like you." Edited at December 10, 2023 05:12 PM by Written The Wolf

Valerie | 24 | Huntress | Mentions: Matt (Dir) & Caite (Ind) Val had noticed a swift flash of white and then the familiar sound of game darting off. She opted to save a bolt rather than shoot into nothing and miss, or worse, shoot and inflict harm on one of the others. Frowning Val had heard and watched Aura and Caite give chase to the little piebald doe. Shortly following behind them would be Matt. Val’s suspicion and unease only grew further as the hunting party now disbanded and separated. Unlike Matt, Val had stayed in her original position, flinching only slightly from her kneeled position after everyone had given chase. Rather than wander the forest she made an attempt to go back for her dappled grey Holstein. Giving a loud whistle toward her gelding, she heard his neigh in response and sprinted toward him. Meeting her steed who was now stomping about eager to run, she would rub her hand against his broad neck as a means of calming him and untied the reins from the branch she had wrapped them around. Strapping her bow against her back for a brief moment soon sliding her right foot into a stirrup and leaping atop of her mount. Once comfortable, she squeezed her thighs against his wide sides, inhaled deeply, closing her eyes, before giving him a hardy kick which quickly launched them forward. She would steer him in the direction of Matt’s last whereabouts and upon hearing him call out to Caite she was able to locate him. Stopping abruptly to the right of Matt the lass would give him a hardy grin. “Need a lift?” She’d tease with a brief chuckle, before extending her left arm out toward him and freeing her foot from its stirrup to give him a chance to leap on behind her. Upon his final words to her she glanced over her shoulders and surveyed the area. It truly was unfamiliar territory for her and soon her already large eyes widened further. “I have a strong feeling we have crossed a boundary between our world and that of the Fae.” She’d add. Very quickly realizing now that the soft drizzle they had once been in now stopped and the pair along with her steed were sopping wet in the middle of a field full of vibrant flowers. Her knowledge of the Fae was spotty at best, recollecting only childhood stories her father would tell her. The most she knew was that they had once lived together alongside humans until a war divided them and from then on a barrier had divided the lands apart. No human wise enough would dare cross the border should they ask for a death wish and very rarely do the Fae cross over into the human realm if not to cause mayhem and wreak havoc. Matt | 28 | Humans | Mentions: Valerie and Caite(ind) Relief washed over the male when Valerie came up to him on her horse. He took her offered hand and with his foot, climbed up onto the horse's back settling behind her. "I am happy to see you. But damn it I knew that mare was not ready to be out here yet." He rested his hands on her hips as he sat behind her. His own eyes looking around them once more listening. "If we have crossed, then we need to find Caite and get back to our world. I don't want us to get into more trouble than we possibly already are." He ran a hand through his hair as he spoke, shaking his head. "And Caite will most likely get into more trouble with that mare knowing how they feed off of each other." As he spoke he pointed in the direction they were facing before continuing. "I think she went that way. And I am hoping we find her first." He returned his hand to her hip when the horse began to walk muttering under his breath. "I love her but she will be the death of me. Plus how will I tell her father, 'Oh yeah...so during our hunt...Caite took off after a deer and then was captured by Fae.' Yeah that will go over real well..."

Valerie | 24 | Huntress | Mentions: Matt (Dir) & Caite (Ind) “Horses I don’t think are ever ready unless bred purposefully for hunting and introduced early enough.” She threw in briefly, giving him a half grinned glance across her shoulder. Bracing for his touch on her hips a shudder crept up her spine. Physical touch was somewhat foreign to her yet not completely, the only physical touch she knew was that of her sibling. ‘Oh dear, what will Aeleis think if I don’t return. She’ll probably just assume I finally got mauled by a bear or captured by one of the High Fae and forced to marry. She should consider herself lucky if the latter were to happen because perhaps it would save Aeleis from having to marry some scrawny courtier.’ Bringing herself back to the conversation... It sure sounds as though you know that pair better than they know each other.” She joked, bringing Arturus to a trot in the direction that Matt pointed. “I think for all our sakes we’ll be lucky to even get back. The fae are much smarter and surely they’ll assume Caite didn’t hunt alone and go searching for us.” She’d finish giving him one final glance over her shoulder before bringing Arturus to a prompt gallop hoping to find Caite rather than any faerie folk. Aziel Castor | Lost Count | High Fae/Illyrian | Mentions; Solfrid Aziel glared at her, not just because that was annoying but also because he was high fae just like she was. "I'm high fae as well, much as you would rather not acknowledge. Just because it wasn't supposed to happen, and it happened in a different way than the proper ceremonies, it happened. I'm High Fae just like you and Aether. I just don't rule a court. I call you High Lady out of respect, but I don't have to. Is this clear to you?" Aziel Castor's wings ruffled in annoyance. He pushed his way into her room, to have a private conversation instead of having it overheard by maids and lesser fae workers. That move was definitely not an accepted one, but Solfrid had pissed him off by saying he was lesser than she. "This isn't the point, Solfrid. I have a much bigger problem." Aziel leaned against a wall. He didn't look around the rest of the place.. finding that a bit much. A private room is a place another person shouldn't snoop around, and he was doing his best to follow that. Despite his actions completely contradicting that. "Solfrid, why the fuck can you not take a few days time and change the castle to be darker? I see no reason for you not to, especially since Aether would be coming here more often.. right? You could start off by showing a bit of respect to a member of his court." Aziel used her name as much as possible.

(Note: I am writting from 3rd perspective, but I tend to "color" it with character's personality, for example in very first sentence Aziel's eyes are described as something lackluster even ugly, their look of white orbs with no pupils and faint glow is factual and taken from his sign-up sheet, buuut comments like "quite empty" and how it only showcases what they lack without any compliment is that "coloring" Factual look of his eyes got mixed with Solfrid's perception of them, if it was Aether commenting it would probably be worded more firendly-I did not RP in a while so I don't know if this is stepping over a line for describing someone else's character in a way they might find wrong. Or I'm just in process of getting used to playing mean OC ;-; and I'm overeacting) Solfrid II High Lady of Day Court II Mentions: Aziel White orbs with nothing more than subtle glow didn’t communicate much. No pupils to shrink in content or expand with fear, no color to circle around, no emotion to be read. Quite empty. Yet crinkles of skin, angle of eyebrows, tone of his voice-all conveyed annoyance. This secretly pleased the Lady, but how Aziel dared to talk back, use rhetorical question ‘Is that clear?’ while talking to crown jewel of fae world, not to mention a ruler who has been fending for whole nation all while he, who thinks he is oh so wise, closed himself off, not seeing or hearing anything new after the war; ruffled her feathers the wrong way. “Oh dear” she sighed , clasping hands in her lap, intertwining fingers one way and the other nervously before seemingly composing herself even though she didn’t really need to, this was an act, a fake non-verbal apology, “You seem to have taken my words the wrong way” She turned her pretty face to face him now that he stood broodingly in her chambers. “I was just pointing out the way world works, not that I agree with it, didn’t you hear me say it out loud how I think such way of thinking is old fashioned and while those before us made many great decision to shape our present time, they also…well, had some preconceptions I have been questioning since childhood” She spoke freely, doors to her abode closed, halls outside mostly empty as per her usual request to be at peace when working through royal thoughts. “One of biggest mysteries to me was why fae divide themselves when we could help each other? Why this weird hate exists on all levels, from my advisors, over well-off folk in cities, all the way to simpler days of those working just enough to make more time for living.” Soft voice took on a strong note straight from the soul. “I’ve met Aether and other fae outside of my kingdom. They are compassionate, smart, ambitious, hardworking, grateful and so much more just like us in Day Court. No matter the past there is future in need of building and if I can help out in any way-I will. This marriage shall be an example of love between nations, so others can follow it.” Aziel moved the topic along so she let him this once. He seemed to be a man of few words and even fewer manners. Every crude, raw mention of her title-less name felt like a knife stabbing in her side, but showing that was not something she ought to make obvious so while listening to his unique way of expression with curse words and impatience dripping from syllables, small hand smoothed out silky robes, following embroidery of sun symbol. “I’m really glad he shows me more respect than this. Though I’m not surprised cause with stunning looks like that he had to have many ladies swooning over him so he had opportunities to learn how to act around ladies without getting flustered, babbling, acting tough, you know? Emotions make one ditzy.” She ended with a soft smile and distant look in her eyes, appearing to be love-struck by her small fantasy. “I’ll do my best to accommodate him, his friends, his entire nation, however not even I have ability to control the sun’s shine plus it is a blessing not a curse. Night fae honor serenity of nights, Day fae honor liveliness of days, you honor Aether I presume? By extension you might wish to honor soon-to-be-his High Lady as well.” “But never mind my long tongue, I get carried away when I talk” small giggles graced the air “What is this big problem that you mentioned?” Edited at December 11, 2023 07:19 AM by Written The Wolf
