Sebastian | Lion | Mentions: Salem "Hello There!" Said the very friendly wolf. Sebastian offers a huge smile, "Well hello!" He booms. The lion did have a loud voice, but he was as gentle as ever. Of course he saw the others, but his attention had snapped towards the voice of the wolf. "I am Sebastian." He offered his name as well, probably be the right thing to do. Now he wasn't sure about sharing his little delay, but well... the others had started to gather and it made the big guy nervous just a tad. He might as well start. "Um, so I have a little delay... about the bus, um... do you have a phone by chance I may use?" <><><> India | Bobcat | Mentions: Others (Ind) The quiet little bobcat was sitting on the bench just next to the bus stop. She saw all these anthromorphics get off the last bus of the day, where were they going? It had been two hours since her taxi said it would be here, so she gave up. Standing up, she picks up her bag and decided to follow the others. Looking overhead, the sky was beautiful and sunny, but she still prefered the cloudy skies of her home. Why did she leave? She wanted a new perspective in life. As she walks, she follows the dirt trail till she came up on a house, but it was crowded by other animals... the same ones she saw before. How odd. India keeps her distance as she observed them. Edited at November 6, 2023 04:56 PM by Feral Meadows

Sasha Toca | 27 | American Cockroach | Mentions: Sebastian, Salem (directly), others (indirectly) Sasha decided, while waiting for whoever owned the home to appear, that they'd sit on their phone for a while. Sasha wasn't big on social media, only really having Tumblr and Tiktok. No posts though, just reblogs, reposts, and liked posts. Not like they have anything to post. While scrolling through an abundance of fandom posts, nature photography, vulture culture, and animal / pet posts, Sasha began to notice some more people showing up. A wolf, bobcat, and what appeared to be a woman with minimal animal features. Probably only 1/2 or 1/4 leopard, judging by the patterns and how human she was. How interesting. Sasha's attention was drawn away from the leopard mix, hearing the sounding creak of a door opening, turning back to face where that lion was. A wolf stood at that door, greeting the lion. That must be the owner then. Sasha looked around once more. She was, indeed, not exactly a welcomed or announced guest. Were the others here the same, or is she actually trespassing or intruding ? She only stumbled here by chance. Sasha decided it was better to not be introverted and avoidant here. With a small huff, he made his way past some of the animals, accidentally brushing a spine from their arm against the wolf behind the lion as they passed, and stood next to the lion. "Sorry to intrude," Sasha began, first addressing the lion politely before looking at the wolf, "or interrupt," he continued. "I don't have a place of residence, and stumbled across here by chance. Seeing as you've amassed quite the group here, I suppose I want to know if this is a housing residence ?" Sasha inquired. Their voice was rather androgynous, though was deep enough to hint towards a more masculine pitch. Their antennas waved around a little bit in the air, never touching anything, taking in smells from that around her. Information like that is important for an insect, even if it may be weird for others.

Salem | Wolf | Mentions: Sebastian, Sasha (direct), Others (indirect) Salem's tail betrayed him, gave away his excitement with small tail wags that he wasn't exactly aware of. "Hello, Sebastian. I'm Salem." He replied with his own name, you should let them know their hosts name, after all. It's the polite thing to do in return. Salem's ears twitched in a way that made it obvious he wasn't used to loud noises, let alone loud voices. "Yes yes, I have a phone you can use. Come on inside!" Salem had just finished his sentence when Sasha approached. This was the first time he noticed all the others behind the lion and cockroach. "Oh boy, that sure is quite a bit.." He had turned to speak with the American Cockroach while opening the door wider to let the lion inside. "No, no, it isn't quite there yet but it's in development to be, soon. Would you like to come in?" Salem stepped to the side, keeping his tail close to his body to give them more space on the way in. "And with that.. would you all like to join us?" Salem gave a bright big smile towards the others, asking the question in a more raised voice.

Olive McKinley | 29 | Mantis Shrimp | Mentions: Sasha (Ind.) Salem(Ind.) Others (Ind.) Olive was awoken by the bus stopping, shaking her head slightly to fully awaken as she grabbed her duffel bag, slinging it over her shoulder. Her arms reached over her head as she stretched and slowly made her way off the bus, grumbling quietly about the others moving so slowly. As she stepped off the bus her eyes darted around the area, taking in the beautiful sights. She grabbed her phone and took a picture of a tree before scanning the crowd around her for Sasha. Sashe was a friend of Olive’s both of them having worked at the same restaurant recently, growing pretty close through the years. Not long after Sasha was fired, Olive had quit because of some… disagreements with the chef’s decisions. Since then she had just kinda tagged along with Sasha, planning on finding a job wherever he went. She was significantly less qualified than them, having stopped going to school after high school, mainly teaching herself how to cook. She bounced from kitchen to kitchen, and now she was jobless, hoping to find something wherever the hell she was right now. Olive glanced around at the crowd, noticing a few others were staring at her, frowning slightly as she looked around for Sasha, noticing that she had walked away. Following the cockroach down the trail she had found. While she was walking she stared at the woods around her. Never before had she seen so many trees in one place. Before moving to the city, she lived in a small town by the ocean, visiting the beach often. She missed the smell of the saltwater, and now she’s here. She noticed the house they were approaching and glanced at Sasha briefly, wondering if he had been here before. Looking at the menagerie of animals that was slowly gathering outside of the house. As the wolf welcomed them inside she looked at him, nodding her head slightly as a greeting.

Sebastian | Lion | Mentions: Sasha (Min) Salem (Ind) When Sebastian was done talking, he heard something approach and saw what seemed to be a cockroach? He has never seen one in all his travels. How interesting. Sebastian did look this person up and down, but his eyes were curious rather disgusted. The lion was no where near judgemental as he had made friends in quiet a lot of places around the world. "No harm." He pipped when he heard the insect apologize for side stepping into the conversation. He imagined everyone here needed somewhere, something, or meant to be here. The more he saw animals showing up... his question was still unsure of an answer. The wolf welcomes then inside and Sebastian gently made his way inside. The house was exquisite. Although, where was the phone? Edited at November 7, 2023 04:31 PM by Feral Meadows

Knox Blackwell | Melanistic Snow Leopard | Mentions: Sasha & Olive (indirect), Sebastian (direct) Knox had been listening to everything Salem had spoken. Not just Salem, but Sebastian and the other voice too. The person who spoke after Sebastian hadn't said their name, so he didn't know what to call them. Knox had almost gotten up by the time he heard Sebastian walk into the house. His listening in had unconciously moved him forward to hear better when he wasn't paying attention to his own actions. His tail swished as he got up from the couch and wandered over to the lion. "Uhm.. hey there.." Knox began. He gave a small smile, trying to look friendly as he spoke. "I heard you earlier asking for a phone? Salem has one in the kitchen. It's just down the hallway." Knox stepped away from Sebastian, walking backwards before he ended up turning himself around before he hit a wall. He motioned to the hallway's doorway. "Uh, down here-" Knox gave him a little nod. He walked back to the couch after the encounter, flopping with his tail laying over his legs. He was in a casual pose but his thoughts were all worrying about how that interaction had gone. Had he been too awkward? Edited at November 7, 2023 07:20 PM by Salem

Sasha Toca | 27 | American Cockroach | Mentions: Sebastian, Salem, Olive (directly) The roach looked at the lion as he spoke, beaming a little when told it was alright. Even if their mouth couldn't show it, their eyes did. Sasha turned to the wolf at the door, nodding in thanks as well. When offered to come in, Sasha nods. "So long as we aren't intruding," Sasha says in an attempt to be lighthearted. Before stepping in, Sasha looks behind her and sees Olive. "Ohh there you are !!" Sasha softly exclaims. Moving to the shrimp, he takes her hand and presses his temple on it in an apologetic manner. "So sorry for not waiting for you, I got distracted and wandered off. Come, the guy there is letting us in." Picking their head up, and lowering Olive's hand, Sasha gently tugs as a way to get her friend to follow her. "I heard the wolf tell the lion there's a phone. If there's a phone then surely there should be internet. We can try to look for something, maybe even scout out new job postings nearby. Once we get on our feet again, we could try to look for an apartment." Sasha says in a cheery tone. Being out of the city is great, and even better that Olive is with her. Not that Sasha doesn't feel bad for Olive quitting because of him, because he does in a way, but it was for the best considering how demeaning people in their workplace were and how toxic it was in general. Olive McKinley | 29 | Mantis Shrimp | Mentions: Sahsa (Dir.) Salem, Sebastian, Knox (Ind.) Olive chuckled as Sasha grabbed her hand, gently giving the cockroach a few pats on the head. “It’s fine, I was basically right behind you the entire time. Not like you did it on purpose either.” She let her hand lower to her side. “Besides, you’re excited. Well- we’re both excited. Finally free from that hellhole, eh?” Giving Sasha a friendly nudge with her elbow. Olive’s eyes scanned the interior of the house as they stepped through the door, it being a stark contrast to anywhere she had lived before. She had gotten so used to being in a tiny studio apartment that the house felt absolutely massive. Her gaze focused briefly on the wolf, leopard, and lion in front of her before turning to the cockroach next to her. “I wonder if restaurants around here are much different from the ones back in the city?” She pondered, pausing for a moment. “No matter what, I highly doubt we’ll find another chef with a stick as far up his ass as our old boss.” She mused, mostly to herself as her mind wandered to potential jobs in the area. She let out a deep sigh, feeling disgruntled and nervous about their current situation. Would it actually work out for them?

Sebastian | Anthro-Lion | Mentions: Knox (Dir.) ~ The brute lion then watches as a Shrimp walks in... just any shrimp, a mantis shrimp. Their colors were beautiful. He wanted to say something, but decided now was not a good time. Backing away a bit, Uhm... Hey there. He heard a close voice say and looking down, he saw a leopard, but looked like a black snow leopard... melanistic? Sebastian was getting so giddy a bit when he was seeing all these differen animals together. He was getting inspired to cook, but didn't have his space for it. The diversity of species made him want to cook such a diverse pallet and combine flavors. Sadly, he would have to hold off. There is a phone in the kitchen. Sebastians ears flick towards the leopard as he saw him start moving away, seemingly leading Seb to where the phone was. He follows him and reached the doorway into the kitchen. "Thank you." Sebastian said to the leopard, and gives a little nod himself. Walking to the phone, he picks it up and dials the first number. After a small chat, "So you are telling me there won't be another bus for that city till next week??" The lion's voice was getting a little loud, but he quickly fixed that as to not disturb anyone... although he fears he may have already. In the spite of anger, he hung up before quickly calling his friend. "Hey man... yeah, probably not till next week... there won't be another bus till then..... I know..... Alright, see you then." He hung up and leans against the counter. Well, seems now he needed a place to stay... wonder if he could stay here? <><><> India | Anthro Bob Cat | Mentions: Open! ~ She had found a tree stump to sit on, which kept her a distance from the large crowd of animals. Indy wasn't a fan of crowds as they did bother her and made her feel overwhelmed. Her phone buzzes and looking down at it, she received a text from her mom... of course it was her all worried because she didn't answer the text... 5 minutes ago. Indy quickly texted her back, before opening her book app. Scrolling through her huge library, she settles on The Dagger and the Raven. Azrael| Wolf | Mentions: None yet? Azrael noticed the bus stopped, She collected all her things and walked off the bus, She looked around and then looked at a map she kept. "Oh, Right here." She muttered to herself. Man It was HOT! She thought. She started walking down the road, and kept getting distracted, Oo! A fox! Oo! Thats a rare flower! Omg! Free pencil! No way, Is that a CLOTHING SHOP?! Left and right, Distractions, "Argh- Just- Walk down the path already Azrael!" She reminded herself. She walked down the woods, and started getting more and more tired. Just as she went to pluck the splinters off her fur, she glanced at the House, Then Looked at her map. "This is the place!" She thought. She went to walk into the House, Then remembered to knock. *Knock Knock* Nobody answered, But there was a lot of chatter inside. Ignorance- Like always. Azrael then tried again, *knock knock* Nothing- *Sigh* She decided to wait. She didn't want to disturb anything. Edited at November 8, 2023 06:42 PM by Holly~
