Cye || 4 Years || Male || Eastern Pack Scout || M: Ash, Night Swiftly padding his way into the unfamiliar camp, the leaf litter male finally pushes ahead of the younger male – eager to find shelter and escape the full force of the storm. Snow now clung to his pelt for a multitude of seconds, maybe even minutes, due to the freezing atmosphere instead of simply fading the instant they connected with his long fur. Said fur, while usually good at keeping him insulated, was currently during a rather mediocre job and that along his legs had long since failed him. However, despite the bite temperature, he refused to show an ounce of weakness. Especially within uncharted territory such as this. Picking up the sound of crunching snow, the male was quick to flick his ear – followed by the turn of his head in quick succession – towards the approaching noise. A wolf was fur black as night (heh) was approaching the two chilled canines, eyes narrowed and prepped for business. Holding the gaze of being proved surprisingly challenging for Cye, unsure whether to give him the proper respect or demand it right back. Although not the wisest of decisions, he did settle upon maintaining eye contact even if it remained difficult to do so. Paying close attention to the male’s orders, it became clear to the tracker that this was most certainly some sort of alpha or beta within this particular pack. Not the best wolf to look directly in the eye, but oh well. He was promised shelter by that little hot-shot who had run into him, so he would be sure to achieve it – lest it be the potential death of him. With sharp and attentive eyes, Cye straightens his stance and stands to his full height as the likely-alpha’s light green eyes land on him once more. His own blue eyes stayed glued on them as he spoke, ears upright and barely shifting. Pleased with the response, he finally broke what may as well have been a staring contest – dipping his head down slightly in appreciation – before meeting his gaze once more. “Much thanks, sir. I’ll be out of your hairs when the storm subsides. Until then, let me know if there is any way I can repay you for this kindness.” Polite? Check. A chance? Unlikely. Not my kind of pack anyway, and I would much rather survey all my other options before attempting to settle with one. But I’ll at least, hopefully, be in good graces with this one. With one more polite nod, the blue eyed male allows the apprentice to once again lead them to their destination. A nice warm den, free of snow and most of the biting winds. Entering, the older male was quick to rid himself of any moistness clinging to his fur – may or may not purposefully getting the youngster wet in the process – and pads to the very back of the den. Twirling around a few times, Cye finally lays down on a nest of moss, back facing the entrance and front towards the wall. Nuzzling his snout into the fur of his tail, he closes his eyes and allows himself to revel in the warmth of the surrounding area while awaiting the sweet song of sleep to arrive.

The time skip to the morning is underway. Posts past this point will start at dawn in the morning and go from there. All wolves will start in a den whether its in camp or not.
There was indeed an early snow storm last night. In doing so, the ground is covered with 4-5 inches of snow. There is quite a cold chill in the air but steadily getting warmer. The snow will be half melted by the end of the day but will reharden when we get to that time. Not before. The dawn will begin now and there is several clouds in the sky. Note that the trees are still hanging on to a couple leaves, signaling the last day of fall.

Bardou // Beta // Raven // Mentions: Den mates *Indi* Open The sun light filtered mutely into the open mouth of the den. The enterance frosty with snow from the nights storm. A yawn filtered from Bardou as she opened her singular optic to glance at her sleeping pack mates. A soft smile graced her features before with a heavy sigh she pushed herself upon stiff paws. Her wounds having had a chance to scab made such motions.. gentler so long as she didnt run amuck or over walk. Bardou turned her cranium to scan the out doors before she slowly limped from the den to be outside the air refreshing her wilder instincts. She was never a wolf you could harness or pin down. Her will was strong as was her mind. Bardou licked around her maw before bending to lap at the snow before tucking her cranium under it in a half roll so as not to disrupt her wounds or dressings. Her banner swayed loosly at her hips before she rolled to her haunches and sat down. Observing camp as everyone slowly pulled themselves from their dens... only difference is she was on camp arrest... meaning she wasnt allowed to train her fellows or hunt.. or well anything. But, she could arrange things unless night took that over to.. which would surely earn him a scowl. Bardou ever so slightly angled an audit in the direction of Shadows den. She hadnt seen him since the intital meeting.. which had her worried he was gonna go do something stupid. Bardou narrowed her singular optic before with another sigh she let her muscles relax.. it was as if she appeared to be an elder this morning and frankly she wasnt in the mood to hide such weakness. Bardou prepared for the shocked faces of those in her charge when they saw a creature of the grave sitting in camp.

Brute l Male l Beta l Raven l M: Willow . Brute's eyes fluttered open, this time though, it was dawn. The early morning light shone into his den, between the vines and moss that kept out the cold. Not as many clouds were in the sky, which ment the snow had stopped. He got up out of hus bed of moss, and shook out the thin leaves from his coat. He felt nice and rested, and decided to go grt some food. He pushed through the vine netting and out into camp. The warmth from his den was gone, replaced by a deep cold. He gave a small shuver and sighed, a cloud of breath escaping from hus maw. After anither small shake of his pelt, he headed over to the prey pile. Over night it seemed Night and the hunting party found a den and slept, as there was no sign if them anywhere. Meaning he was in charge around here. The deer he and Willow had caught hadnt been dug into yet, but still he grabbed a squirrel and a rabbit and headed towards the medics den. With a swish of his tail he headed towards the den. He pushed pasted the moss barrier and peered inside, there curled up in the corner was Willow. The herbs on her paw, stuck out like a sore thumb, but he didnt care. He walked quietly and placed the squirrel in front if her, for when she woke up. He went to his place behind her and placed the rabbit down next to him. He would eat when she woke up he decided. He layed his head gently on her neck, giving he ears a small lick, his eyes fluttered shut, as he breathed in her sweet scent.

Malicia // Eastern // Queen // Mentions: Illusion // Xola Malicia awoke with a yawn her body shifting carefully as she stretched out her elegant front legs. Her optics opening to blink slowly as everything came into focus. Her dry tongue flicked out to lap at her cool nose before she turned to her pups and licked them gently stirring them so that they where encouraged to nurse from her. Least they would have something warm to fill their bellys. Malicia allowed her cranium to turn taking in Xolas presence in her den before she gazed outside the confines of her den. It was a cloudy day but, that didnt mean it was a bad day. Audits flicking back she waited till either the medic or her mate stirred first. Normally shed place the bet on her mate but, today she wasnt sure who would be faster to rise.

Freya // Gaurd // Strays // Mentions: Open Freya was quick to emerge from the den the moment the last flurry fell to the earth. Her paw prints where the only ones that littered the camps ground as she made head way into the cool forest. The chill hardly penetrating her thickening winter pelt as her tough paw pads protected her from the cold ice. Audits perking she trotted onwards the scent of prey fresh as they dug in the ground for the buried nutrients. A Deer was the first thing that caught her attention as she slowed to a silent stalking walk. Lowering to a crouch she crept forwards toward the unsuspecting animal silence and wind on her side as she recalled everything her family taught her. Speed and tact where her 2 biggest advantages.. as well as her size. Moving swiftly she leapt from the bushes startling the animal into a brief attempt to flee. But, she had been to close for a proper game of chase to ensue and thus was quick to claim the deers tender throat in her maw. Crimson painted the snow in intricat lines as she held on to the animal before it collapsed to the snow limp. Freya smiled at her catch and licked her maw clean before hefting the animal upon her back. The strays would be greatful for this catch.. winter would be harder then this... such catches where not caught often. Freya slowly made her way back to camp... and sure enough not a soul had slipped from their dens in her absence.

Illusion | M | Lead Hunter | Eastern | M: Malicia, Xola Illusion lifted his head with a yawn. What had woken him? The den was surprisingly warm, as one would think with all the bodies in there. The air had the smell of milk in it, and it confused him as he tried blinking the sleep and blurred vision. He gently nosed Malicia before licking his pups. His eyes flickered over to the Medic, a glare on his face. He felt... almost like his privacy was being invaded but yet, he knew it wasn't. "I'll be back, I'm going out to do first hunt of the day. It'll be quick, I promise." Illusion made sure to keep his voice down to not wake the sleeping Medic. She'd had a long day yesterday and it was nice to see Xola sleep for once. Illusion waited a few moments before getting up. He licked Malicia's ears for a minute or two and gave her a sad look. He really didn't want to leave his family. With his head down, he stepped out into the chilly air. Looking around for the Beta's or the Alpha, he was startled to see that he was the first one up. Hmm. He really didn't want to hunt alone after the lion attacks the day before. He sat down in the snow, his thick coat protecting him from the cold. He looked for any life in camp, really wishing he hadn't be awake yet.

Killjoy| M | Alpha | Eastern | M: River A cold breeze tickled through the brown males fur on his cheek. With a huff he tried to move away from it and not open his eyes. He hated the cold and winter. He just really didn't want to wake up from the warmth of the darkness. He faded again, falling sleeping for just a few more minutes before another cold breeze tickled his nose. He opened his eyes, annoyed now. He lifted his head, looking at River. Had it all been a dream? Was she returning to Night today? Yesterday seemed like a blur, still trying to chew the fact that Brecken was gone.. He hadn't been sad yesterday, but today he could feel the absence of his presence. Avoiding getting up just yet, he ran through what had happened the day before, it had been quite the long day.. where had Marbled been? Was she aware that her Mate was no longer around? A bad feeling twisted his gut into a knot. A small whine escaped his maw. He really didn't like that feeling. Instead, he turned to the small female that slept next to him. He nosed the grey fur on her neck. He was afraid to wake her, so instead he watched her breathe fall and rise. The smell of Illusion out in camo reminded him that patrols needed to get out. With a sigh, he thought of who to send out. Maybe two hunters and a scout in each hunting patrol and two scouts and a hunter in the border patrols? He wanted to join in this morning, or maybe go by himself. As of right now though, it was too cold. He settled next to River, licking her ears gently while watching his exhales float away in the cold air.

Finley/ F/ Stray/ M: Anyone/ The young dog opened her eyes ever so slightly she was still drowsy, the sun hit her eyes making then open having her lean up. Finley looked around finding herself in a den, she didn't remember being here last night. The young dog yelped in pain as she tried to move her hind leg it was quiet swollen and didn't look so good. Finley gave a low grown she didn't know where she was and was injured making herself more vulnerable to anything she looked around in the den seeing a rabbit next to herself. It had a stench of another dog making her fur pickle before gabbing it and placing the rabbit in between her front paws. Finley took a small bite from it looking towards the entrance the snow was heavy and it was still cold outside of the den. Finley carefully pulled her hind legs closer to her body to keep warmth and began to eat the rabbit. Ever so often she would look at the entrance seeing if anything was there but nothing seemed to move. Once she finished the rabbit Finley pushed the bones aside she curled up into a ball licking her injured leg carefully before licking her cold nose to get warmth moving into her body.

Willow || 6 Years || Female || Raven Queen || M: (ind)Ore, Mairea, (dir) Brute ... Soft pawsteps pulled Willow from her sleep, flicking an ear as a familiar scent hit her. Mixed with various herbs was Brute's comforting scent, chuckling softly as she felt him join her on the small patch of moss. Lifting her head with a yawn Willow smiled at the male when she notes the prey he'd brought with him. "Thank you Dear" she voiced touching his shoulder with her nose, turning back she carefully ripped into the squirrel. . Her tail twined with the male beside her, pausing briefly as her gaze searched the den. Picking out Mairea who'd settled across from her, and the medic had likely retreated to the den further within as she was not within sight. Willow paused glancing at the entrance where sunlight filtered in, it seemed the storm had stopped thankfully. "Looks like I'll be confined to the camp until my shoulder heals" she commented briefly before returning to the prey before her. .~. .~-[][][]-~..~-[][][]-~. .~. Aoife || 4 || Female || Eastern Scout || M: Open ... Sunlight filtered through the den's entrance earning a grumble from the red female, rising to her paws with a lazy stretch Aoife wandered out into the camp sleepily. Her golden gaze scanning the camp briefly before checking the prey, grabbing herself a mouse from the bottom. Padding over towards the entrance Aoife found her usual spot, sitting down she glanced at the forest briefly. Sighing she torn into the small creature, while it wasn't much she prefered the others filled their stomachs first. . The layer of snow that crunched under her paws was uncomfortable, and she found herself scowling down at the soft white powder. Winter was here and Aoife knew it would only get colder, which wasn't something she looked forward to. Her stomach clenched painfully, not being satisfied by the meager amount of meat. Sighing roughly she raised her gaze towards the sky, an urge bubbled up withing her and she couldn't resist. Lifting her head she began to howl, singing a soft tone that longed for spring and the return of warmth.
