Leaf raised his head at the Alphas call. He sniffed the air for a split second. just enough time to match the sharp tang of blood with Stratus. He raced over, he could smell a lot of blood... "What happened?!" He said in a almost demmanding voice . If only at least a few herbs had grown back by now....

Aush nodded to Oak. Spotting a growth of brambles along one side of the rabbits she turned her ears to point at them... " one of us could circle around there." she suggested " then chase the rabbits towards the others." She wagged her tail a bit. It felt good to be on the hunt again.

Brute l Male l Hunter

Brute flicked an ear towards Echo, "Echo you take the left side." Now he really wished Kala and Embry were here. They didnt want to come. But he had strength in Echo that he could help alot. Brute started towards the right, to head on the deer while Echo went left and stayed towards the deer's flank. The tall grass brushed against his underbelly as he crept forward. He could see Echo through the bushes. Once more he flicked an ear to indicate that they are about to attack. Brute wamted to get as close to the deer as possible before they startled it. Now he could see it. A white-tailed buck stood grazing the grass. He wasnt a skinny buck but a fatter one. It would feed the pack for days. Brute's mouth started to water. He was so close to it now, and from coming downwind it wouldnt smell him. He released a bark so Echo knew he was attacking, and also to startle the deer. It looked up, revealing it's soft neck. Brute took the chance. He bounded forward, and pounced, biting into the flesh of it's neck. The tang of metallic taste of blood filled his mouth. Echo leaped onto the deer's flank, dragging it down. Clawing into it's hide at the same time. Brute released and clamped again, crushing it's neck. After a few seconds of struggling, the buck lay limp, dead. Brute released, tail wagging, muzzle covered in blood. "Nice job Echo!" He said headbutting him softly. "Let's take this to Luna." He couldnt believe that they had caught it, especially since deer were scarce. He picked it up in his jaws and he and Echo started dragging the deer back to camp.

"Stratus is injured", Harmony repeated herself to Leaf, "He stepped into a human trap, set up by a loner. He is currently by your den".

She and Luna would be scouting the area for more of these traps. Hopefully Luna would not get hurt during their trip.

"Hm", Oak hummed in thought, then nodded, "Good idea Aush. Me and Lillith will circle around those brambles, while you and Sky will chase the rabbits towards us".

He wagged his tail. He has a good feeling about this hunt.

"Let's get to our positions!", he announced, and started to stalk around the brambles. He felt Lillith beside him, and the both of them took their places.

Leaf nodded to Harmony then walked quickly over to his den were Stratus was at. He ducked under the low hanging vines covering part of the entrance to the small cave. He scented Strutus in the corner from the angle of his scent leaf could tell that Stratus was laying down. He lightly traced his paw over the wound it felt jagged. Leaf guessed that it would be a deep cut. Leaf growled inwardly to himself. There wasn't very much he could to without the herbs but he could try. The wound was clean enough that Stratus would be less likely to have an infected wound. At least there was some good news.

Aush nodded then crept over to her spot. Staying low to the ground, her tail just brushing the ground. Once she was in position she quietly signaled to Oak with a flick of her tail. Her tail shivered with excitement but She forced herself to stay calm.She laid her ears back and slightly narrowed her eyes.

"Ah, hey Leaf", Stratus greeted the healer, feeling sheepish. He still felt surprise as Leaf found his way easily around the camp, while being blind.

He nearly jumped out of his skin when the black wolf growled to himself. Even as an adult, Stratus did not want to piss of Leaf.

"I got this by walking into a trap, and I doubt that I broke a bone, if that helps", he said, still feeling nervous. He hasn't been in this den much, the last time being when he was born.

Oak nodded at Aush's signal, and flicked his tail back. He and Lillith were ready. He tensed his muscles, ready to catch the rabbits. He suppressed an excited growl.

Harmony walked over to Luna.

"Shall we go and search for those traps? Unless, you would like to choose someone else to search with me instead of yourself?", Harmony asked, drawing her ears back out of respect. She could only hope that these traps were not set everywhere. Make that trap was designated for that loner's prey, and not for the pack wolves? Hopefully.

Leaf slowly shook his head " you didn't break anything, but that wound will take a while to heal. " Leaf told him "Especially since you had to hurt yourself now. " he added as he padded a line of thin moss along the wound. It wouldn't do much but it could soak up some of the blood.

Aush saw Oak nod at her then she looked at Sky. Aush let out a low growl and sprang forwards. She curved a little to the left trying to not let the rabbits escape from that direction but still move towards Oak and Lilith. She slowed down a bit as they neared the other other wolves. Letting them get enough room to pounce.
