Aparaa/The Cackle (to Diablo) The dark fae narrowed her beady gaze, holding an elegant stature as she observed the male, "Ah, but mishevious doesn't mean stupid enough to attack or rude." She listened to his words with a nod, "true. It can mean harmless and fun, but sometimes it can mean betrayal and broken trust." Her gaze gleamed in a more welcoming way, "lets hope its the harmless fun kind you have. If its not, I dont expect one to change, that would be a false hope. I prefer to analyze ones flaws and strengths then determine if its worth keeping them around. one can only change so much." As the male shook his fur, she glanced at the mowhawk like ridge along his back and neck, then back to his facial features. he seemed to be warming up a bit, becoming more comfortable. this was good in her opinion, the more comfortable one becomes, the more likely they are to express their true selves. "Consider your offer taken. I will prove that my morals are as I have said." The large hyena was pleased with this answer as she dipped her head, "perfect. I hope you show promise as i expect you to." With that she flicked her tail and turned to begin the search for food, taking in the scents of the land and watching the sky for buzzards. As her gaze trailed the sky she did in fact find three distant buzzards circling something in the distance, "I believe that would be a good start. See whats there. If theres enough meat on it for us we should be alright. but if not, there should be others around the area, dead or alive."

Aziza/The pride(to Ares) The bronze lioness warily flicked her tail as she watched the sun tinted nomad, his pelt like the blazing fired of the dry season. It was mesmerizing. Her ears flattened back as she watched, blazing gaze focused intently on him as she tilted her head, he seemed rather... melancholy. lonely. If she left he could potentially follow her. if she stayed she could get hurt. if she approached it could end badly, or she could gain an allie, or attain information from him and how much of a threat he might be. The last thing she wanted was for him to find the cubs at camp. So she decided, shed rather risk her fate than the cubs, and even now, he seems unconfrontational so far. She decided she would approach. carefully she padded along the ponds edge, Her gaze trying to focus on the crockodiles and the nomad at the same time, flickering frantically back and fourth. She felt her heart sink into her stomach the closer she got, her paws itching to just leave. But she wouldnt. not yet. As she got closer she stopped about ten feet away as she sniffed the air cautiously, "Hello there... " well now what was she supposed to say? ------------------------------------------------------------------- Aasir/Nomad(to Maisha) The white nomad watched as she seemed to have picked up a scent, lifting his head to taste the air too, maybe he could pinpoint what she was looking to catch. There were too many scents around for him to know which one she was trying to focus on. He just hoped he wouldnt make a fool of himself at any point soon. Hed never group hunted before. He wasnt allowed to hunt in the pride before he was kicked out because he stood out too much. the thought of them losing the kill because of him put a knot in his stomach. He was starting to rethink things.

(Sorry if I'm minimodding) I don't think google doc links are allowed because people could find out other people's identities. ~-Toxic_Viper-~ said: Tombstone Pack said: (I am so sorry but I wrote this whole thing out then realized I couldn't paste it in here. Diablo/Lone Male/(M: Amaraa) The lean male smiled in the usual hyena like way, his sharp fangs glinting in the sunlight. Light, playful, mischevious golden eyes glinted and sparkled, but underneath there was something much deeper. If you looked past the twinkling outside, there was unimagineable amounts of pain and fear. The mental pain from being abandoned because he was male. The physcial pain of a lion's claws tearing off skin on his haunches when he was merely a year old. The pain from feeling unwanted, lonely, and alone. The fear that he would get hurt more. The hardship in having to learn that it was a cruel world, that you can trust no one, and that thinking everyone was out to hurt him in some way wasn't such negative thinking. That it was true. Layers and layers, years and years of hidden agony sheltered under the outer self. Diablo had adapted, had changed to be the hyena he was now so that others never saw what he felt. "If you didn't feel that you could easily cut me off as soon as I became a threat, you wouldn't let me come with. So I guess I'm the one that should hope it is the fun type." He answered simply but was obviously stating something much deeper. He knew as a fact no one trusted him... no one had ever given him the chance to prove he was trustworthy, so was he really to blame if he looked mischevious and shifty? Diablo continued in his walk a little ways away, lifting his head slightly to scent the wind before turning his eyes to the vultures that were circling. Always a good sign for them, because it meant free meat... usually anyway. Now more than ever the male was having problems with lions being at every kill. Living as a lone male was extremely difficult, especially when he was expected to hunt by himself- and it didn't work so well. Hyenas were designed to hunt as a pack, but for the unfortunate males... well... they usually died before they had much of a chance to worry. +++ Ares/Nomad Male/(M: Aziza) The brute of a male sat, his blazing, deep red fur almost shining in the sunlight. His skillet like paws stayed firmly planted on the stone floor at the beginning of the cave; he had no intention of moving anytime soon. Watching the lioness truly made him rather depressed, however, because it reminded him of how he was viewed. As a killer. A threat. Just a worthless lion that they thought wuldstoop low enough to kill cubs. Just this thought made the male want to growl with rage- he should not be judged on what he looked like, but how he acted. This is why the burly male had turned away, seperated himself from the lions, and hoped never to look back. This is why he hid, and rarely interacted with anyone. This is why he did not make a move towards the lioness, but rather, waited to see what she would do. He knew that she saw him as a threat, and he knew she was thinking that she couldn't go back or he might follow her to the Pride. Still, that left her with three options. Stand there frozen like a deer in the headlights. Approach the giant threat. And last but not least, just return to camp. Ares wished he could just leave, but he wasn't getting driven out of his temporary home because someone looked at him weird. If he ran every time to avoid speaking or offending feelings he would be in Antarctica. His dark copper gaze glowed as it bored into the lioness, mostly to see what she would do. When she started approaching he let out a low grumble- not a growl, but rather a grumpy greeting. Ares might've been lonely but he had learned not interacting was always better. As the female spoke he lifted his head slightly, but did not make any move. "Greetings. I know that you are assessing me as a threat, so I wanted to offer you the option to tell me to leave. Your word is my command. Once I am safely gone you can return to your Pride or continue going about your business, and O will have no knowledge of your whereabouts. I need not know what you are doing, and I definitely don't need to follow you back to the wretched Pride that abandoned me, and continues to abandon other males, with no thought to how that affected them. On that note, my name is Ares." The brute finished, his tone level and clear but obviously holding some unhappiness.
