Katya
Pride Lioness | 2y | M: Palesa, Tala and Nkazimulo
Before Katya could answer Palesa, Tala came up to them, greeting them. Katya nodded toward the lioness when she said her name. She didn't really know anyone that good yet, but she hoped to change that. It amazed her though that two great lioness's were talking to her this very moment. Talking to others is a slightly silly thing to be excited about but Katya was. "Goodmorning," Katya greeted her fellow lioness right after Palesa did. She then paused for a second, trying to remember the smallish female's name. Finally it came to mind and she finished her sentence, "Tala. Im doing pretty well, thanks for asking. Though Palesa is right, there hasn't been much time for anything other than being okay." She said, chuckling quietly. Katya knew, and reminded herself every night, that she was a lucky lioness. She had an amazing pride and a good territory, what eles could a lioness ask for? Well, for one thing, cubs. She shook her head and sat up before stretching. There was time to think later, for now she had two ladies to talk to.
.
As Tala went after a noisy vulture Katya got into a sitting position and turned her attention to Palesa. "Yes, i did, though i have to admit i could've had a few more hours." Katya turned her gaze to Tala as she came back unsuccessful before continuing to talk. "As im sure you noticed i usually sleep outside but since it's the start of the rain season i decided to sleep inside." Katya paused and once again chuckled quietly, "I dont want to wake up with wet mold in my fur afterall." Katya had mostly kept to herself but she had to admit it was nice to talk. Just then a mother known as Nkazimulo and her two cubs exited the den. This once again got Katya thinking about cubs. Katya let out a content sigh as she watched the cubs play, "Im just glad to be here, and to be talking to such wonderful lioness's."
.
Katya then flicked an ear towards Nkazimulo as she spoke to no one in particular. The young lioness let out a breath of air and melted into a laying position. Her toes retracted before protracting, much like a cat would knead. Palesa's lazy behavior had caught up on Katya, much to her surprise. "I think this is the storm that signals the true start of the rain season." It was hard to tell who that was directed to, since even Katya didn't know. It was more like a comment to what Nkazimulo said. As her fellow lioness's talked she couldn't help but watch the cubs play. It was so cute to watch them tumble and fall everywhere. Oh how Katya was ready ro have cubs! "Cubs are so precious." The young lioness mumbled to herself as she softly smiled at the cubs.
