The juvenile she-wolf trotted to the stream to get a drink of water. She had an unusually large body but it made her a perfect size for being able to take down bigger prey. Her piebald pelt shimmered in the sun. "Hello sister," a deep, male voice said. Aspen's brother, Farris, walked up next to her and bent his head down to drink from the stream. Farris was a spotted wolf who also had a body on the bigger side like his sister. "What do you want Farris," Aspen said harshly, with a slight growl. "My day has been perfect without seeing your stupid face." Aspen was not in the mood for her brother's little games. "Now, now sister... Don't be so feisty!" Farris exclaimed, a sly grin settling in on his face. "I have a plan to talk to you about sister." Aspen looked at her brother with a smirk. "Are you still trying to take over the pack? Seriously Farris, get a grip. You'll never defeat the alpha alone." Aspen was getting ready to leave when Farris said, "You're right, Aspen. I won't be able to defeat the alpha alone. But that's where you come in," Farris explained. "I've seen you fight Aspen. You can take down elk by yourself! Please sister, help me." Farris could see that he had not yet changed his sister's mind. "How about this..." Farris started. "You help me take over the pack and you'll never see me again. Deal?" Aspen looked back at her brother. It was clear that he needed her but she would not take part in something like this. She was loyal to her pack and her alpha. "You're crazy Farris," she exclaimed, and walked away.
