I don't eat tomatoes either unless they're homegrown. The store bought ones don't have any flavor and the texture is a hit or miss

Osken | M | Marked | Location: Alleyway | Mentions: None, open

The sun reached its zenith, casting harsh beams of light down upon the city. Even though Osken trudged through the deserted streets, the city seemed to hold its breath under the relentless onslaught of the midday sun. Not even the smallest creatures dared to stir in the suffocating heat, their usual chatter and rustle silenced by the oppressive weather. It was a wonder that Osken, cloaked and masked, didn't succumb to the heat himself, let alone seem to struggle within it at all.

His eyes glinted with a primal intensity under the mask's beaked visage, a testament to the wolfish determination within. Tirelessly, he hunted for what he wanted and with each step he got closer. Respite from the unrelenting sun. Today's quarry was a simple one—a shady spot to seek solace from the blistering heat. Heat always put him in the worst of moods, however, and he could feel the beast within him stirring, restless and eager to act out.

"Eaaasy", he mumbled to himself, stumbled and jumpy. Osken remained steadfast, his willpower serving as a bulwark against the savage impulses that threatened to overwhelm him. As he rounded a corner, a fleeting shadow danced on the horizon, drawing his gaze toward a nearby park. Should be suitably quiet, he though. A sanctuary from the oppressive heat, perhaps, but one that he would avoid if others were present.

Hopefully, though, it was quiet and he'd be able to calm himself down... maybe even meditate.

Aeliana | F | Stalker | Mentions; JB (dir), Stalkers (ind)

Aeliana narrowed her eyes at the bacon stealing demon. "Watch your mouth," She sighed. "Good morning JB."

She took the remaining slices of bacon out of the pan, rather recklessly for the danger of oil hissing at her, and safely onto a nice white ceramic plate with golden edges. Once that was done Aeliana quickly tossed a few extra slices into the pan. These ones would be for herself while the ones she just put on the plate could be freely taken by JB. She planned on cooking a little extra, four or five more slices, to take as treats for JB since it often worked to keep him around. Plus, in case he started a fight it was a decent idea to carry food around with her.

"You know, if you eat it all there won't be any left over for later." She said as she turned back to her housemate. "I don't understand how you can just go right back in like that after the grease burned you. It hurts like hell."

She could chat with him all day but she was getting more concerned about Alba's disappearance. Though they weren't friends, they had worked together more than once and it was a little odd for Alba to have not said anything after asking all the Stalkers to come together for a meeting. Usually he would follow up, check if everyone was still up for it and tell them he was ready and on his way but now there was just radio silence from him.

She sent a quick, short text saying 'Hey everyone, has anyone heard from Alba today? He's gone radio silent and we were supposed to meet. Starting to worry he's vanished into thin air.' before pocketing her phone in one of her various pant pockets. She could only hope that one of the other Stalkers had seen or heard from him.

"Have you heard from Alba, JB? I haven't heard from him," Aeliana picked up her own slice of now cooked bacon and munched on it before speaking again, 'cause she's polite. "Just wondering if you've gotten a text or something."

Mentions: Aeliana (dir) Bodhi, Alba, Stalkers (Ind)

JB huffed slightly at Aeliana's remark about his less-than-savoury language.
"Sorry," He mumbled, halfheartedly.

His eyes immediately fell to her taking the remaining bacon from the pan, all focus on the breakfast food. It took no time at all between her plating his share and him already tossing another piece into his mouth, fresh out of the pan hot be damned. He paused as she pointed out the should-be grease burn, shrugging slightly.

"'Dunno, guess I'm used to it," He responded with a shrug. And with his mouth still full. It was a wonder how she put up with him sometimes.
"And leftovers are-" Bullcrap "...stupid?" He said while reaching back on his plate. He patted it down, eyebrows furrowing as he touched empty cold ceramic. He looked down, bewilderment on his face. Oh- he must have finished his bacon already, bummer.

He was clearly preoccupied, in distress even, over this development. So much so that he jumped up slightly as his phone buzzed, nearly knocking the plate over in the process. He could've sworn he put the damn thing on silent. He quickly unlocked his phone. Actually, that's a lie, he fumbled with it, until he got to the Stalkers group chat.

He started reading it, mumbling the words to himself under his breath aloud when Aeliana began talking to him instead. He looked up at her like a deer in the headlights, blinking a moment as he tried to process anything she had just said.
"Huh?" Text- oh text!

Wait no that's a text from Aeliana.
"Nope, nothin' on my end," He replied. That was kind of weird, right? He had sort of just been depending on Aeliana to keep track of the meeting details, but she seemed upset by this.

"Let me reach out to someone else real quick," He added.
He went through the Stalkers group chat, picking someone at random to text. Ah- Bodhi! Bodhi who was Buddy in his phone. He'd fix that someday.

"HAV YOU HEARD FROPM ALBA"
"THIS IS JB :d"
":D"

Oh wait maybe he should ask how his morning has been-

"HOW HAS YOURE DAY BEEN"
":D"

Perfect.
"Just texted Bodhi so I dunno. Hopefully we get a response,"
He said shrugging, leaning on the counter again as he scratched his head. Leave it to one of these guys to go up and missing like this.
"So uh- where's the meetin'?"

Andreea Barlowe | F | Stalker | Location: Condo>>Park | Mentions: Collin (NPC), Group Chat, Nakai

The morning of a series of events that happened from the night before was the challenging part of the day. A blur for Andreea’s memory that would definitely cause a mild headache once she fully woke up. The sun was beaming through her windows as a wake up alarm instead of the one on her phone. She felt a stirring next to her and heard a deep sigh from a stranger that she does not recall. Andreea shook her head in absolute disgust from herself. Her bed was occupied with some half-wit that probably coaxed her to spend the night with her. She doesn't even know the person’s name or well if it’s male or female. She got up and looked down at her appearance seeing she was still wearing the clothes from last night. A cute dress that was light blue that now was wrinkled and had tattoo ink on it. The stirring behind her made her jump out of hesitation and she looked to see a male around her age. He was sleeping soundly and snuggled up in her comforters and fluffy purple blanket. How cute.. But absolutely disgusting. She slowly tiptoes around her bed trying not to wake the stranger to reach to the nightstand to find at least his wallet. The name of this tool was Collin Harley and it was time for Collin to leave. Before, Andreea made the decision to wake him up, her notification on her phone dinged. Alba, meeting, blah, blah reading to herself in her mind as looking into the group chat messages.

She typed out her text slowly and more trying to focus on the spelling from her lack of sleep and increasing headache arising.

Nope, I have not seen him. Heading to the park in 15 minutes. After I kick out this tool out of my bed.

She sighs, casting a look at Collin in annoyance and pitied the male. But that emotion started to melt away, that she needed to start getting ready. Andreea looked around for the male belongings that were only a sweatshirt and shoes. Andreea grabbed the items and inspected them to make sure that they were at least decent to wear back out to the streets. Andreea hurled the items of clothing at the young male’s head. She watched the male throw himself out of bed cursing at her in a disrespectful tone. Andrea spoke “Collin, right? I believe it’s best if you call yourself a cab and get out.” Collin looked astonished at Andreea’s words and actions. She crossed her arms looking at him up and down as he hurriedly got dressed. Collin spoke “I’m sorry, Andy. But maybe we can do this again sometime. We had a great time, I thought.”

Andrea nearly choked on a laugh when she heard him say that. Andrea says sweetly “I’ll have to think about that offer, darling. But get out. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out…” Andrea watched the guy push past her and hurriedly leave her place and listen to the door slam. She started dying laughter that she has been holding since she woke him up in a devilishly way. She spoke out loud “Never again, Collin.”

Andreea got dressed with her usual ripped jeans and a baggy Nirvana t-shirt of the album cover In Utero. Her hair was a mess that she simply put a messy bun in from the day before that slipped out. Andreea redid the messy bun and did not just secure it with 2 hair-ties, but three. She grabbed her phone, wallet, and keys from her nightstand as her essentials for the day and well her everyday life. Her jewelry was already on and definitely was not taken off for the night because she must have forgotten. She looked around for a pair of shoes in her closet. She has too many shoes, so she just slipped on a pair of white hey dudes. She rushed to the kitchen quickly as her time of departure was slowly arriving as she picked out a poptart for a little breakfast. And three tylenols that were quickly washed down with water to help relieve the throbbing pain in her head. Andreea grabbed a pair of shades to cover her eyes from the sun that would blind her and probably intensify the pain in her head. She glanced in the mirror before her exit. Damn I look like a wreck… Then she exited out of her condo to the park.

The park was surrounded by people and stands for food and coffee that made her stomach churn in disgust. Mostly, the poorly contaminant food that was touched by unwashed hands of nasty civilians that just wanted a bagel or donut for the days of work. She needed some caffeine, but not coffee. Coffee in her opinion was disgusting and unsatisfactory for her needs for something to keep her awake and alert. Her eyes saw Nakai in the distance to get an iced coffee, most likely if she could assume. Andreea quickened her pace and made her way cutting the lines of the people behind Nakai. Hearing their mumbles and angry grumbles, she apologized and said “Sorry, I was looking for my older brother.. He’s just ahead of you guys…I got lost..” She looked at their guilty faces with a scared expression. Her height helped her get out of stupid situations and she sure will use it for her advantage. She finally got to Nakai’s side and looked up at him. SHe then realized her very rough appearance and her getting some caffeine to drink. Not like her and Nakai was known for their blunt honesty. She held up her hand shaking her head before he could make a remark.

“Nakai, I know I look rough. Don’t ask questions that you don’t want the answer to. Anyways, Aelina is pretty much shooken up about Alba. Something isn’t right.. Not like him..”

Bodhi Ariti | Male | Stalker | M: JB, Aeliana, Alba (D) Other Stalkers (ind)
.
It had to be perfectly pitch black when Bodhi slept, it always was, always had been, and always would be. He sat up, running a hand through his inky locks, his pale skin shuddering in the scant sunlight that had pressed through his heavy curtains. Nightmares were common among the Stalkers, obviously. Chasing after vaguely demonic entities doesn't really lead to sunshine and rainbows, but he would never get used to them. He pushed the damp sheets off of him, standing up, and stretching. His skin was still crawling from the dark themes of his night terrors, and he blew out a slow breath, yanking the curtains apart, the rays of sun pouring into the small apartment. Bodhi preferred to live alone, it gave him a place to think, to just be however he needed to be. Pacing hallways at early morning hours wouldn't disturb anyone, and he would be just fine screaming into pillows when frustrations became too much. He dug through the various clothes strewn about his floor, and pulled his phone out of a pair of shredded jeans. He honestly couldn't remember what had happened to them, and he didn't want to know. He scowled as he noticed the cracks spiderwebbing across the glass screen, turning his attention back to the notifications half hidden by the breaks.
The first few looked like junk mail, he didn't recognize any of the numbers. But then again, he couldn't remember half the numbers in his phone, so thank all the gods for people who put their names in alongside their corresponding digits. His eyes widened as he saw a new image at the top of his unread messages, from an unsaved number, and was pleased to find a picture of his daughter. Her bright smile was all he needed to chase away the cold, unwavering thoughts lingering in the back of his mind, and he relaxed, leaning against the wall as he scrolled through the rest of them. Bodhi laughed as he opened a text from JB, the many little faces and lack of punctuation so in sync with its writer. He shook his head and he pulled on a loose hoodie, and pulled up the conversation once again.
*Haven't spoken to him in a few days,* he texted back. *He's probably just taking some time to himself.* After a long pause, he sighed, and sent another text. *I'm coming over, Aeliana is probably making food.*
Bodhi wasn't normally so lazy about his eating schedule, but added stressors were making him lax. Plus, he loved dropping in uninvited, because it normally led to some more interesting conversations, and then he could snatch some of Aeliana's cooking, which was sounding pretty damn good. He also *hated* reading tone over text, so he could more easily chat with whoever ended up crashing the party. His mind flashed to Alba, and he pursed his lips, hesitating with his fingers over the contact, his teeth sinking into his bottom lip, deep in though, then clicked on it, sending one more text to his friend.
*Hey, people are getting antsy. Wanna meet up for coffee or something?*
Bodhi was not a worrier, he never had been. He knew his comrade had his own problems at the moment, and made sure to leave an opening for Alba to scoot out of the obligation if he still didn't want to see anyone. Bodhi made his way over to the abode shared by two of his fellow Stalkers, and opened the door. He honestly wasn't sure if they ever locked it, or whether he just always happened to show up when it was unlocked. Wandering into the kitchen, he grinned at the scent of bacon.
"Oooh, Aeliana, whatcha cooking?" He asked, leaning on the counter.

Deirore | F | Stalker | Bar | Mentions: NPCs (dir.) and open

• ───────────────── •

Music blaring, mingled voices trying to talk over it, pool balls colliding, cigarette smoke in the air, and glass sliding on the surface of the tables. It was the perfect place to unwind after a long day of doing...nothing. A tall, muscular, and tattooed woman was seated at the bar, his two-colored eyes focused on one person across the bar: a pretty blonde with seductive green eyes just as alluring as polished emeralds. Deirore listened to the way the woman laughed, how to speak, hand gestures, how she moved side to side on her feet, and that gorgeous smile that exposed her pearly whites. Everything that lady did made Deirore's heart race not out of love but unadulterated lust. The corner of Deirore's lips twitched, his lips curling into a cheeky smile. She might as well shoot her shot, as she might miss out on a good thing.

She moved to her feet, removed herself from the cushioned bar stool, and confidently strolled over to the woman she'd been eyeing across the room. Deirore weaved through the crowd, occasionally bumping into a few of her fellow patrons until she finally reached her destination. Deirore stood beside the woman and her friends, yet her gaze focused on the chick she wanted to take home. "Hey, gorgeous." Deirore started. "I noticed you across the room, and those eyes caught my heart." The woman shifted her focus from her friends to Deirore, observing her from head to toe, an impressed look in her eyes. She smiled, sipping her drink while locking eyes with Deirore, flirtatiously saying, "I should say the same thing, handsome." Her friends giggled, whispering amongst themselves as their friend and Deirore flirted with each other. Tension is gradually growing smoothly between the two. Both of them express mutual attraction. As much Deirore wanted to smother the woman in well-deserved compliments, introductions must come first. “Deirore,” She acquainted herself but used her preferred name instead of her real one.

“Clara,” The woman, Clara, returned the say courtesy, tapping the rim of her glass against her lips. Hearing her name, Deirore swished the glass in her hand to stir the alcoholic beverage, then sipped from it. “Clara? The name fits you perfectly if I say so myself. So, tell me,” She leaned against the wall, “why is someone as beautiful as yourself here and not on a catwalk? I bet you would’ve made a fascinating model - one many would envy.” Deirore smirked, with Clara and her friends giggling in response. “You have a way with words, Miss Deirore. You’re making me swoon more and more,” She teased, twirling a hand around her finger. “Then I’ll simply catch you when you faint. Don’t want such a stunning face to be bruised up.” Deirore purred, keeping the banter between them light and casual with a flirty stare. Clara giggled, her face redder than a tomato at this point.

Before she could flirt with the woman more, Deirore felt a heavy hand settle on her broad shoulders, and noticing the pale face of Clara and her friends, she knew it wasn’t someone good. She slowly turned her head, peering over her shoulder, only for her gaze to be locked onto a rather pissed-off dude. She sipped her drink, a hum in her throat as she weighed the situation that she was in. Well, it can’t hurt to question the guy. It might get her a clue on how to handle this. “Is this your girl?” She asked, shifting her gaze briefly to Clara, before focusing on the man, who grunted. “Yes, jackass.” He snarled, and Deirore raised a brow at his hostility. “Easy there, bud. I didn’t know she was yours,” She grumbled, rolling her eyes at his hostile behavior. She tried to leave, but he kept a firm grip on her shoulder, “Dude. It’s a mistake and I’m leaving. Let it go,” Deirore glared at him, the grip on her glass tightening as she heard Clara begging her boyfriend, or whoever he was, to let her go. “We’re going to talk,” She sternly replied, his jaw clenched, and Deirore could feel his hand tremble. Oh, boy. He was mad-mad. That can’t be good.

Deirore looked down at his hand, before dragging her attention to his face. “We can end this peacefully. You won’t be badly injured…and I won’t be sent to jail. Just let it go, man,” She smiled before patting his shoulder, only to be shoved into a table where a couple of people were sitting. Deirore grinned apologetically to the people at the table, then Clara and her friends as she set her cup down. “Well, I’ve been to jail once and am not afraid to go again.” She whipped around on her feet and then tackled the man to the floor. She pinned him down, punching his face repeatedly as everyone in the bar either cheered as something exciting happened or started to record the whole thing. Although you have a few people asking if anyone called the cops, it was pretty hard to hear them as the cheering grew louder and louder with each blow done to the other.

Mentions: NPCs (ind.) and Cecilia (dir.)

Deirore was brought to the police station in cuffs, escorted inside by the two male cops the surname of Royce and Buckly. Strangely, the woman didn’t appear afraid nor remorseful of her actions, as she took pride in her steps with her head raised. Deirore shifted her attention to the officers stationed inside, noticing the look of exaggeration on some of their faces. By the look on their faces, this happened many times to their liking. “Kelly, Tom, Micheal, and Donnie. What up?” She said to four of the officers, with Kelly facepalming herself while the other three gave her a deadpanned look. “Back again, Deirore? This is the 6th time this week.” Donnie grumbled while Micheal made himself coffee, knowing this would be a long night now that she was here. “Can’t you stay out of trouble?” Tom asked, shaking his head as he crossed his muscular and tattooed arms. “We might as well build you a private cell here.”

Deirore smirked at that, throwing them a wink as she was escorted to the back of the jail where the cells were. She was held in a cell, with her hands folded behind her back, yet none of the police officers dared to lock it. She would lockpick her way out anyway. She walks out of her cell, a hum in her throat as she waves to other people locked in their jail cells and strides over to the phone stations to call someone. She leaned against the phone, before turning to the police officers in the building. “Calling someone!” She shouted to let them know what she was doing, before dialing a familiar number. She heard it ring for a bit, drumming the metal table with her fingers as she waited. Finally, she hears the person on the other side answer the phone, a smirk forming on her face. “Hey, cousin. I’m going to need a little bit of a favor. Mind picking me up from the police station?”

She leaned against the wall, checking her bruised knuckles. “Yes. That one. The one I always go to. Cecilia,” Deiore nodded. On the other side of the phone, you can hear the voice of a loud and annoyed woman, yet here in the police station, a small feeling of dread was felt. They all know about Deirore’s cousin - someone they don’t want to mess with. They wouldn’t dare add charges to Deirore’s files, let alone imprison her due to Cecilia. Afraid to spark the woman’s wrath. Everyone who has worked here for so long knows that the police chief of the station is in the woman’s pockets through blackmail and bribery. The officers kept quiet, continuing on their day like nothing occurred. They treated Deirore like she was a guest of this place instead of someone in custody. Deirore hung up the phone after being scolded by Cecilia for a few minutes, returning to her cell as she waited for her to arrive.

Nakai Mersey . Male . Stalker . Location: Coffee shop near the park . Mentioned: Andreea

Navigating the relatively empty streets, Nakai made his way towards the park, glancing at his phone every so often to make sure he was headed in the correct direction. Having to squint at this screen, the messages from the stalker group chat were all too easy to miss. Despite the few years he'd racked up in this city, he still struggled to navigate many parts of it - most of his wandering through the streets and back alleys was done less-than-sober after all.

As he neared the park, the heat of the day was partially drowned out by the trees and greenery, heat no longer being constantly reflected off the pitch tarmac. People seemed to be dotted about, some enjoying the heat, others heading towards wherever they could find the reprieve of aircon. Despite continuing to hear the buzz of his phone, he ignored it, already knowing his abysmal typing would be worsened by his inability to see the small screen in the daylight. Finally, he spied his goal location on the other side of the road - a quaint but still modern coffee shop. It had good reviews and he could already see the queue indoors; it was a small price to pay for good coffee.

The soft ring of the bell on the door and the rush of cool air was certainly a great relief and Nakai patiently joined the queue, finally deciding it was time to see what all the fuss was about on the group chat. Tucking his coat under his arm, he unlocked his phone and began to scroll, unsure who was who in the sea of unsaved numbers. 07842..something something something.. Just who was that again? Anyway, whoever the numbered stranger was, they were asking about Alba. Someone proactive... Aware and could type well - he guessed it must've been Aeliana. Sucking in a breath through his teeth, he pondered for a moment, usually, Alba was active on mornings like these when they were due to meet up. A frown beginning to tug at his features, he texted back.

[nope no sine of him mayb he slept in]

Not bothering to check for typos or spellcheck his message, he sent it, tucking his phone back into his pocket, just in time for *someone* to interrupt the holy grail that was queuing.

Jumping ahead in the queue was quite the cardinal sin for the Brit and his disapproval was apparent. About to comment on the behaviour and likely send Andreea right to the back of the queue, he stopped, noting her dishevelled appearance. Bags under the eyes, wrinkled clothes and messy hair - tell-tale signs of someone who had been out far too late last night. He clicked his tongue, shaking his head at the shorter woman. Queue jumping could be excused just this once.

"Little sister, eh?" He quizzed, shoving his hands in his pockets "Am I footing the bill for us both then? Mummy gave you no pocket money?" Nakai continued to tease lightly.

With a grin, he turned his head back to the queue and the people in front of him, the counter growing closer as each person was served. "No point asking questions I already know the answer to." he quipped, already able to guess the content of Andreea's night. Though at the mention of Alba, his gaze slinked back to her.

"Mmmm, hoping he's just slept in. Somethin's definitely off though."

Matt - M - Marked - location: Park, Mentions: none, open

Before he was even awake, Matthew could feel the uncomfortable cling and grab of his clothes on his skin. It was gonna be another hot one...

He wondered if it was even worth getting up to work in this miserable heat. But after the thought of running late on his orders he shot up in bed and pushed himself up. Steadying himself for a moment, he lazily dragged his hand around his bedside desk to grab his glasses. The blurry world around him disappeared as soon as he put the lenses on.

the dark basement apartment was lit by a single high window. Warped sunlight streamed in through the glass block window. The wavy light stretching out over the carpet left him lost still in his dreaming head for a moment before quickly getting dressed.

Yes… it was indeed very hot. And he now regretted his decision of clothing now that he was several blocks away from home and sweating.

“Just one cool breeze…thats not too much to ask for right?” He grumbled to himself adjusting his glasses that seemed to be determined to escape away from his nose and run away.

All he had to do was make it to the restaurant depot, pharmacy, and…and….
He took out a crumpled list from his pocked. Scrambled cursive listed a happy long list smiling- no, mocking back at him.

Matt grimaced at how far away some of these places were from each other. He would have to plan out his route carefully. Matthew didn't hate heat. But he sure as hell didn't love it. He missed winters cold biting winds he could easily bundle himself against.

But this heat. It made him want to sweat out of his skin. He guessed he was just more sensitive to it now. Soon he would need to bite the bullet and get a new practical wardrobe. But change never cane easy for him. His white button shirt and straight black slacks had always done him well.

Walking down a Main Street, he kept his head down. The few people he saw he didn't bother to nod or acknowledge besides glancing at their shoes going past. He stopped for a second. Staring into a shop window displaying mannequins in various fashionable poses showing off the clothing for sale.

“Linen.” He said to himself staring at a mannequins loose flowing pants. Supposedly a more breathable fabric. ‘Another time’ he brushed the thought away as he continued walking.

After hitting the restaurant depot and pharmacy, he somehow ended up empty handed. “Low on orders my ass!” He chattered to himself shaking his head a bit. The heat was getting to him. He just needed a rest. A moment to think somewhere that wasn’t cooking under his feet.

A park- he almost ran, picking up pace he wandered his way through the large park. Although there was tree abound with lush grass. He had one goal, the fountain. Matt strove over to a large ornate fountain. Fish jumping out of vases spat flowing water down into a large round basin. Oh what a sight!
By this point he was so hot he thought he'd loose an arm.

Striding over to the fountain side and sitting down on the cool carved stone. Dipping his arms into the smooth soothing water. And in seconds his temperature went down. He let out a guttural wheeze of relief.

What a great day this was turning out to be.
