Alari | Female | Alpha | M: Sol, Valdís, Indirect: Sikúnguak

The she wolf watched the other become cheerful which made her heart swell. She was happy that she could finally have some pressure off her back and be able to be herself like she once was. Valdís was the only wolf that she could truly express freely. She listened to her with a wolfish smile displayed on her maw. She was lashing her tail in a happy way. She cocked her head at Valdis, mocking her with Sikunguak. She exclaimed “I was not flirting.. He complimented me so I did the same thing. I just made a friendly, light hearted suggestion.” Her cheeks flared up with embarrassment. That could not have been that obvious for even Val to notice that? - she thought to herself in disbelief. She heard her talk about mates and she outwardly groaned for her to hear. This topic would be the absolute death of her- she thought distastefully. She shouldered her and barked silently to her “Unless you want me tell your little crush that you have been eyeing him for how long? Oh that’s right as apprentices or shakiras.. But awfully a long time.”

She looked at her like she was crazy for even thinking Sikunguak liked her. She barked silently for her to hear “Um. No way! We are just friends. Plus he has not told me if he has or not.. Plus he knows me as much as you know me. And the high rankings can push me for a courtship all they want, Val. But as the first female alpha I need to stand alone for a bit to show I can do this for the rest of them.. And I’m not in the right headspace for that, Val… And you should know it’s my second biggest fear, having a mate is showing the real side of you dark and the light. I’m not totally okay and comfortable with that. It scares me truly, Val.. And with a mate usually comes with bearing pups… I cannot do that after watching my mother suffer many lost pregnancies and then die trying to produce a male heir. That is my biggest fear is a mate allowing me to pass away for a male heir and making me suffer through it.” Her eyes went dark with a sadness that she has not even uttered a word about her mother’s death or even both of her parent’s death. She shook her head shaking off the nasty feeling. She won’t process it or talk about it even with her closest friend.

She heard her say about decorations. She looked at her paws trying to come up with some ideas. She didn't wanna bring up her parents again, but she had to honor them for the pack. SHe barked “The feathers, I have two that I would love to be in. I would like a blue jay feather for my mother as she always had one in her pelt.. Then my father always wore an eagle feather, which is my den because he always collected them. He said it brought strength through the lonesome tides of leadership.. And my father told me I need to choose a feather for myself.. And I would like to honor the falcon feather in my fur for their precision and grace… I know you will whip up some dye. Oh, would you be a great best friend and cover as much as the scars of my cheek. Maybe with different colors for each scratch..” Though Alari knew why she wanted them in a different color. Though she did not embrace it into detail of why they were there in the first place and their representation. Mostly the importance of her. She added “The males don’t think I can fight. But I have more scars combined than most of these posers Anyway why can’t you be a male.. We could be perfect mates or if it was accepted with females being mates with each other. We would just love each other and be queens.”

She barked “Val, stop calling me Alpha in private. It’s almost like we are not best friends anymore.. If you don’t stop, I’m gonna kick your ass, until you address me Alari. I don’t care if you do it in public. But we are talking privately..” She was chuckling to show that she was not actually mad, but rather amused at Valdis respective and proper addressing her.

Then she heard her mention his name. Sol.

She was going to defend him, she knew that he was all doing it out of the grace of his heart. Then as she was going to speak. He came into the conversation. She pinned her ears back as he confessed his hurt and guilt. His saddened face broke her heart. Oh Alari hated her empathy and kind heart. She let out a soft whimper from his pain. Though it quickly turned to anger that he was listening in to their private conversation. Her only time to speak freely and be herself was interrupted by this lovesick puppy. She could feel claws digging into the rough rocks. Her fur bristled with annoyance. Then he accused her of something of not liking him in a way that she was not ready for anybody. She needed to take her anger in before it was too late and that she would demote and scar this fool. Her day of peace and acceptance over some mate thing?! She was already on a high emotional bender that it was hard to keep her full emotions in check. She can hold back from attacking him. Though she could not hold back her words that were laced with venom.

She snarled with full force of venom at Sol “You interrupt a private conversation, Sol. Next time I’ll skin you and have your pelt in my den. When I was going to defend you and you did not even give me a chance.. Get out of my face and do NOT speak to me at all today, go do your duty for the ceremony like I said. DO not even look at me. Not even for an apology. Don’t ever eavesdrop or make nasty assumptions or accusations to my face again, you fool! And if I hear that you were being an ass to wolves today over your sad little crush about me and lashing out on others. I will demote you to an omega and you will never see the rank of Akashi again. Don't make me feel bad for you with those pathetic puppy dog eyes, you did this yourself, not me.”

Her amber eyes were dark and something that wolves did not see. Pure rage and disgust. An anger that was her father’s and she hated to show it. Sol may have thought this was cruel. Alari knew her own cruelty and rage very well. This was just the tip of the iceberg. She held back and she was proud of herself. Sure, she knew it was hurtful, but it needed to be said. She did not care about his feelings now, because he could not even respect her privacy.

She shook herself, relieving her anger. Though it was not truly gone. Her anger was never truly gone, but enough to let it subside for a while. She looked at Valdis. She barked “Let’s go to my den so we know we aren’t going to be spied on by cowards.” Alari rose to her paws and made her to den.

(Oh, did not expect me to write that much.)

Sol | Akashi | Male | M: Aatya ; Sik ; Alari ; Cognar ; Valdis
He looked at Aatya and remembered Alari's words. "Y'know what? Never mind." He ran back to the camp and went up to the Shakiras' den. "Never mind, Moth!" he called. He quickly found Malakai and Eudora. "Hey guys. Um, let's just hunt a cow (Female elk), ok? But I, uh, I need a minute first." He ran off before they could mutter a word.
--------------------
He halted in the dense thick of the forest. "I've screwed up. I've truly screwed up." He mumbled. (I'm actually crying right now). "Why?" He asked. "Why? And HOW could I have ever been so stupid?! Now she hates me..." The tears swelled down his eyes, his nose stuffed to the brim. "Maybe she doesn't love me..." He sied, "But maybe she just can't handle me right now." He looked up at the sky. His legs felt limp, and he collapsed. He lay there, turning into a miserable ball of fur. "Mom, Dad..." He mumbled. "I miss you so much. But why, Mom? Why could you betray Dad like that? How?" He sat there, just lying there miserably. "I know Cognar wouldn't be like this if you hadn't done this." He still lay like this, mumbling to himself and crying his little heart out. "I HATE Sik." He mumbled, wiping away his tears. "Why is he our Beta? Acting like he's already Alpha. Giving orders like he does everything and we do nothing." He cried a little bit but soon shook the tears away. "It's over, Sol" He mumbled to himself. "We can just be friends. You love her, so just be happy she's here." He sat up, remembering what his dad used to sing to him when he was a pup. "I'll protect her..." He mumbled to himself. "I'll die for her." He said. "Just like you would've done for Mom"
--------------------
He sat up and shook his pelt. He padded to the river and gave Aatya a fake smile. He started to clean up, hoping not to look like a bedraggled mess. "Hey, Aatya. Um, I- um, well, I'm sorry." He gave a weak smile at her, portraying his sadness. "I know you'd understand." He said. "I really do love her." He nodded at her with sadness and loneliness in his eyes. He spotted Cognar along the beach doing his work. He walked up to him. Cognar had an evil smirk in his eyes, but the memories of his mother over powered him. Making him become almost... kind. As Cognar asked him what was wrong, he just shook his head and then went up to his brother and hugged him. "I love you." He mumbled. He took a step back to take a look at the shocked look on Cognar's face. "It's ok." He said, chuckling just a little bit. "You don't have to say it back." He went up and hugged his brother again. "I gotta go for a bit." He said. He turned around and walked back into the trees. Before the brush completely swallowed him, he looked back at his brother as they shared a moment of sadness at the memory of their parents. He saw Cognar look away. Sol knew Cognar felt the same way.
--------------------
He went back into camp. He padded past Alari's den, stealing a small golance of sadness at it. He then padded up to Malakai and Eudora. "Sorry for that." He mumbled. "Are you guys ready?" He asked. He looked up at the sky once more. "I love you, Dad." He mumbled under his breath. He gave a fake smile at the two wolves in front of him, hoping he hadn't made anything too obvious.

Nikolai - M - Shikara - Mention(s): Eclipse, Sol, Aatya, Haoniyao (indirectly: Eudora, Malakai, Alari)
Nikolai found himself suddenly free of the Akashi's grasp. So, he wanted to find two more hunters? Nikolai would be taking his own sweet time doing that. And it sure as hell wouldn't me Eclipse - her slight frame made it difficult for her to hunt.
But now Nikolai had been released from the vice grip of the Akashi, and he technically wasn't under direct orders from the Beta anymore - Nikolai would be using this to his best opportunity.
Starting with breakfast. Goddamn-finally.
Nikolai quietly loped over to the prey stash. Damn it, but all these conflicting orders this morning had made him hungrier. Plus, they never let him eat anything.
Not really caring if anyone saw him gulping down huge chunks of meat or not, Nikolai gulped down the food as if he was afraid of another wolf coming up to him and start ordering him around again. While Nikolai wasn't aversive to the order itself - especially if it was realistic - he was aversive to taking them when he definitely had better things to do.
Such as breakfast. How late had it gotten, anyway? Nikolai briefly paused in his eating and looked upwards, and was suprised to see the sun had already arced up substantially higher than when he was laying down in the shade of a tree, thinking. It already was midday???? How long had the Akashi wasted his time for? Nikolai didn't really know. All he understood was he had wasted half the day listening to the Akashi pointlessly blather on. Because the sun was already at it's peak.
Breakfast - check. Although, far too late to be considered breakfast. Nikolai was probably the only one who hadn't eaten by then.
Now, part two. Where the heck was Eclipse? Nikolai was getting seriously concerned - not that he could do anything, but still. Even though Eclipse was his mate, that didn't give him a reason to fuss over her like a mother hen.
That didn't mean Nikolai wouldn't be worried about her.
Nikolai briefly scanned camp again. She was probably off somewhere, but where was she? He hadn't seen her since yesterday. A small knot formed in his stomach. Ever since they had been mated early last Autumn, he hadn't not seen her for such a long period as to now without an explanation of some sort.
She probably had one, though. Nikolai had to believe in that.
Nikolai eventually realized he had been dallying around the prey pile for longer than he thought he had been. Luckily no-one had come and barked orders at him, and Sol was off tormenting some other poor wolf, but still.
Casting around the camp, he saw Aatya approaching with a deer, Haoniyao proudly walking along. Had the young prodigy hunted something? Nikolai inwardly smiled. That apprentice was going to be a handful when she grew older. Delightful, but pretty good already.
Maybe he could have that conversation that Sol had robbed him of earlier.
They had reached the kill pile by now, where Nikolai had been earlier, and Aatya was saying something encouraging to her apprentice. Nikolai, mind made up, trotted towards Aatya and her apprentice. Maybe they would have something to say.

Rune | Beorn | Male | 5 | Mentions: Eudora (ind), Malakai (ind), Alari (ind), Orion (ind)
Rune lifted his white head groggily as the bright morning sunlight woke him. He heard the hustle and bustle of the pack outside. He had definitely slept in. She stood up stiffly and stretched, a yawn splitting his face.
He padded out into the sunshine, stretching his pack paws as well. He seen that most of the pack was awake, sitting in little groups or performing their activities. He shook out his shaggy pelt, which soon dissolved into yet another stretch.
He caught sight of his mother talking to Malakai and rolled his eyes. His mother had been getting on his nerves lately. For whatever reason, she greatly objected him wanting to be a beorn. He still had no idea why, but he was going to do it anyway. It doesn't matter what she thinks as long as he's happy.
He found a comfortable place to sit and started in on grooming his fur. Normally he wouldn't bother, but since it was the Alpha's ceremony today, he figured he should at least look presentable. Even if he despised the idea of a female being alpha. Not only did it go against everything he was raised on, but the she-wolf herself was just insufferable. He had only had minimal interactions with her and wanted to keep it that way. His job was to tend to the prisoners, and that's what he would do.
He hadn't spotted the other beorn, Orion yet this morning, and until he did he wasn't going to bother himself with decorating. He wasn't going to decorate for something he didn't believe in by himself. Actually, he was going to put the bare minimum effort into it.
He looked away from Alari and went back to grooming his fur.

Malakai | Male | Omega | m: Cognar

The male barked lowly “You need to be on your best behavior Cognar.. The alpha is pardoning us today after the ceremony, if we are on our best behavior.. We may not like her, but she is a female that always stays by her word. And Eudora has a plan, but she wants us to be neutral and act like we care… So please stay clear of anything bad.. If anything does, we will get our revenge later..”

Malakai marches down to the beach to help decorate for the ceremony as much as he hated to do so.

(very very Short, and like I said he will not be joining the hunt and short because I’m confused how to do this after the events of yesterday)

Cognar | Male | Prisoner | M: Malakai ; Sol, ; Eudora ; Crag
"Hey!" He barked. "Wait up!" Cognar went at a smooth gallop to Malakai, then slowed down to walk beside him. "I don't like it either." He sied. "Like, seriously? Why? And how could I have failed?" He looked at Malakai with an evil smirk. "And I have a feeling you know what I'm talking about." He barked. "So, this ceremony," He started, "What has Eudora gotten herself into this time? What type of plan could she possibly have?" He barked. "Now see here, Malakai," He said, "The thing is, I kinda like a girl like Eudora, and since this ceremony is going to be nothing but a piece of junk, I might as well use it as an opportunity, eh?" He heard rustling in the bushes behind him. "Hey!" He snarled. "Come out, NOW!"
--------------------
His eyes turned to annoyance as he saw Crag step out of the bushes. "What do you want!?" He snapped. Crag gave him a look, then looked away, averting his gaze. "Yeah you better know who's above you." He snapped. He knew techinacly that Omega's were higher ranked than Prisoners, but come on, he thought, we're cooler. He rolled his eyes and then turned back to Malakai, knowing that Crag would go ahead and speed up; he knew not to mess with Cognar. "Anyhow," He said, "What do you think, huh?" He had a smirk look on his face, "I mean, just 'cause we don't care about that lousy alpha doesn't mean we can't find a mate ourselves." He said, "Besides, if I were to become Alpha with her, she would be alpha 'cause of me." He said. "And how can you not like her?" He said. "Nothin' better than a savage she-wolf." He flicked his tail, "So," He started, "I gotta tell you something. "So Sol decides to come up to me out of no where that brat..." He paused, not really sure what to say. "And he... well he hugged me... and said he loved me." He walked a little slower, than laughed a bit. "Oh he's so crazy!" He said, he knew he regretted saying this, but he didn't want Malakai to think he was lame. Besides, even if he cared about Sol, that didn't mean he liked the choice of alpha any more. He sied, "Look, I don't want you to think I'm weird, but I honestly don't know what to say to him. I mean, he's my brother, man. But I DON'T like his choice of 'love'" He sied. "If only things were easier. Alari will just dump him and be with Sik that a**hole^*^. 'Oh go do this, go do that'" He mimicked. "So maybe he is beta," He said, "He doesn't have to rub it in our faces. Besides, he doesn't deserve it. Even according to pack law, wolves are supposed to be like us, not like cheary Valdis. 'Oh a female alpha, about time.'" He mimicked. "I'm really sick of this female alpha thing." He sied. "Do these wolves not know how to obey pack law around here?" He looked at Malakai with a serious look. "So?" He asked. "What do you think?"
--------------------
^*^Cognar just feels this way. Infact, honestly, he's kinda the a**hole himself lol.

Facilis of Druids

"Such a lonely day,
and it's mine.
The most loneliest day of my life."
- - -

Facilis | Shakira | Male
@: Open

- - -

Watching everything go down with Sol was like picking burrs out of his fur; positivily torturous, yet mildly satisfying. To see the other male get put in his place was like a breath of fresh air for Facilis -- as well as to see someone finally snap at that snarky she-wolf, Aatya. Speaking of her, she had kickstarted the majority of the beach decorations, but upon taking a break for her apprentice, Facilis opted to take over in her stead. Except, unlike she, he wouldn't torture himself with rose thorns. Instead, he grasped a branch of white flowers off of a blooming bush, shaking them out over the beach to shower the sands with white to contrast the red that Aatya laid out.

It was the least he could do, being by himself and not willing to join a hunt at the moment.

His black coat shimmered against the midday sun, contrasting starkly against the tan, sandy backdrop that was the beach. With each step he took, shaking more flowers out, he continously casted glances toward the others of the pack -- watching as Sol had an odd... breakdown. Facilis snorted to himself, shaking his head. What kind of male acted like that? Especially on the Alpha's big day.

That was even funnier... 'Alpha'.

Facilis stifled a chuckle to himself, instead, dropping the now empty branch back into a brush pile. He'd move toward a pile of pelts to be used for the ceremony, laying them out over the proper rocks with strings of bones and teeth clinging from tree branches like ornaments. He'd ensure the day would look perfect, lest they find a better use for him.

And he was determined to be at least somewhat useful.

The Beta | Four Years Old | Male | Mentions: Sol, Aatya, Alrai

The alabaster male was contemplating who he would be asking to assist him in getting ready for the Ceremony, and one wolf in particular came to mind. He hadn't expected Alrai to flirt with him, and had blinked owlishly, a rare shock coming to him and he suddenly felt as if his fur was on fire from embarrassment. "Oh, uh, thank you for the suggestion." He had responded while watching her leave to go find Valdís. He then turned his attention to Sol as he left. His mood growing sour and a look of dismay on his face at the way he was treating the Shakira. He then noticed that the wolf he wanted to help him was also in the direction of the beach. He was preparing to leave when Sol had managed to come back ; looking for some more members to hunt. Valdís and Alrai could be seen having some conversation; obvious girl talk from the giggles and smiles coming from the both of them. But then it seems their little moment was interrupted by Sol and Alrai was pissed.

It was so glorious to see her finally snap at him. There was a cruel side of him that was in awe of Alrai's harshness - now most times he was a kind wolf but with times like this he was rather temperamental. He then gave a soft growl as the male stalked off and it seemed being sorry for himself. The alabaster male chose to walk towards Alrai and Valdís saying, " Continue getting ready for the Ceremony, I will be dealing with his insubordination and behavior."

And without a word he made his way to the beach. Where said male was groveling and he gave a growl saying, "Are you really that pathetic that you'd grovel to someone else after a rejection? Have some dignity and decorum, it seems your foul mood is infecting the rest of the pack." His voice was in that of a sneer, he was absolutely done, "since you've made a mess of things and have a disgusting attitude and can't seem to treat your fellow pack members with respect - how about this, you're demoted." He said, "since you can't treat your pack-members with respect - how about you be out in their shoes for a while."

He then looked to Aatya saying, " Aatya you are now promoted to an Akashi ; your apprentice has been doing well and you have guided her well under your mentorship and I wish to see her continue to grow. And you are a capable wolf with a sharp mind and I will leave the task of organizing the hunt for Ceremony in your capable paws - and after the Ceremony and other business we will have a proper ceremony for your promotion."

"Now, Facalis - would you come help me get ready for the Ceremony. I better start getting ready before I get fussed at." and he said this in a more relaxed tone, " oh, the beach is looking lovely at well." He said genuinely.

He then walked away to his den and awaited Facalis to help him. He already had some cardinal feathers, red dye, and vines that would look good on him. He just needed help.
