Selene | F | Red Fox | M: Ace ~+~ I look at Ace. He seemed a bit off. "Hey... Are you alright?" I ask quietly, and when he doesn't despond I give him a hug and lay down next to him. I don't say anything, and neither does he. I nuzzle him and tell him that he can always talk to me.

Selene | F | Red Fox | M: Ace, Pups ~+~ I laugh as both of them start jumping on both of us, full of energy. "Being called Mom is so weird. But I like it" I confess, licking both pups as the run around in circles. "You two are going to get dizzy" I warn them, and they both stop running and fall over. "What did I tell you?" I say playfully to them.

Sparrowhawk/M/Collie/German Shepherd/M: Open Juniper was gone when he looked up from his paws, so he got up, shaking out his long pelt. He looked around, then padded deeper into the woods. He liked pack life, but it was better to be alone sometimes, especially when he was still nervous and jumpy. He had played it off like it was fine, but almost drowning was not something that he wanted to experience again. With a shudder, he realized that it had been his second time getting within a whisker of dying. He remembered both the times vividly, especially the car speeding towards his brother, and then his leap, which had pushed Ace away... but meant that he had been slammed into a concrete wall by the cattle guard on the hood of the black truck. He didn't remember much after that, only the pain, and how he had felt when he realized that he was leaving his brother alone, with no one to protect him. Their mother-dog has been taken by the masked humans, they had wrapped a vine around her neck and threw her into their black, foul-smelling truck. Their father-dog had been killed by a mountain lion, when Sparrowhawk was only about two weeks old. Ace had never truly known either of their parents, he had been born about a year after Sparrowhawk. Sparrowhawk. That was not his first name, that name was King. He had given it to himself, King no longer fitting him. King was a human name, given to him by his mother-dog's master. He shook out his silver-grey coat, snapping out of his thoughts, and decided to gather some herbs, especially borage for Night. He wondered where she and his pups were. Osprey and Tanager. Osprey... that had been his nickname for Ace. He wondered if Ace remembered.

Pandora | F | Ball Python | M: Group (indirect) Pandora was happy to see everyone getting along. Everyone was getting along with Juniper, Ace seemed to have calmed down, Bai had come back, and the pups were doing well. Still, Bagheera's death worried her. It made her feel as if their little world wasn't as safe as she'd thought. Well, this was the best they could do. They would just have to be careful.

Nightingale - F - Wolf - M: Open - I stretch out and my pups curl close. I can't sleep now. But I want too. No. Nuzzling Osprey and Tanager, my mind flashes to some unwelcome memorys. My dad fighting with my mom. Him killing my siblings. White froth at his mouth. A crazed look in his eyes. I know what it was now. Rabies. Curling up against mom as my father walked of a cliff, not seeing from the disease.
