Chaos was becoming an elder. He was glad that he didn't have to worry about fighting to keep the pride together. He liked to lay around and watch the cubs play. He also liked to mentor the young ones. Sadly, it hadn't worked out between him and Constance. They constantly clashed, and frankly, he hated being afraid of her. They still slept near each other from habit of trying to remain as a singular family unit. He had been happy to have Adaliyah around, however, she seemed to have given up. Ajihad and Amara had been very persistent, trying to convince Yael that Luna was the right choice. Adaliyah had backed off, because she didn't want to be with someone who was so easily convinced. He wasn't sure what was with him and Ivy. He was sure that she still hated him for Constance showing up out of the blue just as they were beginning to become friends. Around the time when he had considered anything happening between him and Ivy. Now, it seemed so callous to try anything, because ti would seem like she was his last choice. It wasn't fair to her. Ajihad wondered if Siku was as nervous as he was about handing over the reins of power. Was this truly the right thing to do? Would it preserve the pride? He lay awake contemplating that his child would rule the pride. Yael technically wasn't even Siku's son, which made the whole thing more interesting. He headed over to Siku not wanting to wake any of the other sleeping lions. "Hello Siku. What do you think about today?" Azrael's bones were creaky. He was laying in the back near Ukuta, because she had a tendency to find the most comfortable place to sleep for an older lion. He didn't get around much these days. Khaleesi knew today was a big day. As a senior lioness, there was a good chance they would want her help planning the cermony, or keeping an eye on things. After all of the drama with the lionesses, it was nice to finally have some peace. She was glad that no more drama was caused, because she didn't want to be banished along with her mate. Astrid never found another mate. She was sad that she never had a family. She liked to be near her sister, and she had become a trusted baby sitter. Zamri was glad that he was able to escape the crazy lioness. He regretted that his cubs had been in danger, but there wasn't much he could do. He tried to get as far away from that pride as possible. They were too strange, and he didn't want the lioness getting any ideas. Arridi wished that he could have followed his brother. His father had told him that he needed to go his own way. At least for a few years to prove that Zamri had done his duty as a parent. It seemed that his brother was happy to leave him behind. Yael was really excited and having a hard time not acting like a cub. He tried to keep his act together. He headed over to Luna, hoping that she didn't mind becoming his mate. Sure, she could have her own partners she preferred over him, but he would prefer to keep it to loyal only to one lion.

Luna looked over when she heard someone coming over and nodded a hello to him. "Well, this is going to be a huge step for the pride" she said. She hardly remembered a time when the prides were split due to being so young. She heard stories over the years on how badly the prides needed to be together, and it amazed her that for the most part, it worked out well. She watched Yael, hoping he wasnt upset that their mothers paired them when they were young. She knew he started being close to another cub, and she had often worried how it might go, but when they grew distant, Luna didnt seem so stressed about it.

Delilah was laying down in the shade of a tree she knew that she wanted to go back to her old pride but she couldn't because if she went back there they would kill her

Siku / Siku looked up at Ajihad who approached him. He quietly stood up and walked slightly away from Aria, before answering Ajihad. "Well, what can I say, I feel quiet nervous", he replied, smiling a little, "Such changes will be coming over this pride. I would have never foreseen this. But my hopes are high for our new leaders". He nodded over at Yael and Luna.

Zypher sniffed the air, getting closer to the pride. He had been watching them off and on the past few years, looking for the right time to try to jump in. He had avoided most large groups, but this one interested him for some reason. So many lionesses, so many choices in his mind. He smirked as he stayed just outside the territory, planning on how to enter.

Ivy looked over to where their prey stash is. It is relatively smaller, so Ivy decided it could be a good idea for a hunt. And anyway, due to their bigger and more cooperative pride, they could make a feast in honor of Yael and Luna as new leaders. No scavengers would dare to appraoch them! Ivy padded towards Siku and Ajihad, who were exchanging a conversation. The female leaders were still sleeping, so she didn't want to bother them. "Siku, Ajihad. Sorry for barging in, but shall I lead a hunting party today?", she asked, supressing another incoming yawn. (perfect to stumble upon Zypher the bachelor!)

Amara slowly started to stir, barely hearing Ivy mentioning hunting. As she stretched and walked over, she let out a yawn. "If you can take Opal, Reyla, and one other, that would leave enough for us to send out another hunting party in another direction" she said with a smile. She knew she would need to send out patrollers as well, but figured Ajihad and Siku might want to go. Amara wished she would hunt, but while she was expecting, it wouldnt be a good idea.

Ajihad nodded, "I can agree with that. It's so hard to believe they've grown up already. I can't believe we'll be able to entrust our pride to them. It feels like only yesterday that we had them crawling around our paws, and pouncing on our tails," he sighed with a wistful smile. "I know that they'll do great, and we have nothing to worry about even if they are young." That was a lie. He was concerned that this arranged mateship might not last. One of them might get tired, and upset the balance. Siku and himself would have to keep a careful eye on that. Ajihad's eyes widened. He was so forgetful! He must be getting old. How would they provide for the feast, if someone didn't go hunting? "Yes thank you Ivy for volunteering. I can't believe I so completely forgot. We might not have had the feast that we've been looking forward to, if it weren't for you," he nodded approvingly. Ajihad raised a brow at Amara, "Would you mind doing more organizing?" He turned to Siku, "Want to do the last patrol together? Sort of as a sentimental turning over the pride to them thing?" he asked his long time friend. He knew they would be patrolling for years to come, but there was value in doing it now. Yael smiled encouragingly at Luna. "I am quite nervous about all of this, but they wouldn't have passed it down to us, unless they believed we were ready. At least that's what I've been telling myself. I'm not quite sure how I am still functioning normally," she sort of shrugged. He wondered if he should ask what her expectations were for being mates. Was that being weird or too forward?

Ivy / Ivy smiled as she got complimented, and nodded her head understandingly at Amara. She called Opal and Reyla for the hunting, and considered who will be the third huntress/hunter. "Jasiri", she finally decided, "Let's go hunting". She went out, blinking at the sun that was already gradually heating up. They'll have to hurry before it will be impossible to hunt under the sun. / Siku / Siku chuckled a little as he too remembered the future leaders as cubs. He felt a little envious of Ajihad's positivity. Siku was really worried: what will await the young couple? What obstacles? Surely nothing worse than that hyena attack could happen to them? But Siku remembered those two legged creatures that killed his first mate and shuddered. Luna should be really careful out there. When Ajihad asked him if they should go patrolling together, Siku broke off from his worried brooding and smiled happily. "Oh, I would like to", he agreed, "Better make sure no creature will ruin the younglings coronation!" / Jasiri / Jasiri grumbled and stood up, following Ivy. He half hoped that she would choose another lioness, and not him. He glanced over at the two future leaders, chatting with each other, and Jasiri sighed nostalgically. That was him and Lilacia once, except they weren't burdened with the fate of being future leaders. Secretly, Jasiri disliked the idea that such responsibility was given to the inexprienced lions, who have just exited their juvenileship. But then, fate's fate. What will happen, will happen.
