Zamri was uncomfortable. He wasn't sure if he wanted Shani going with him, but he felt guilty, since her place in the pride had been disrupted. "Would you even consider letting us join? We are three lions," he pointed out. They probably didn't need or want that many lions, and he didn't blame them. "If I had a lioness Shani, I might consider it, but they are old enough where they don't need a motherly touch. None of them are a lioness who needs to be taught lioness skills. I don't want to mess up your place in the pride Shani. You have a good home, and you should stay here." Astrid looked sadly at Shani. Was she really that ready to leave them? She wanted to point out to Amara that they should have expected this. Shani had gone on and on and on about Zamri. Ajihad looked at Amara," Zamri has a point. We don't need three new lions." He decided not to get into all the muddy water details. He wanted to deal with one thing at a time.

"Amara, I told everyone in the pride why that happened. Aslan reminded me of the one love I had lost. Now I would appreciate it if you would let bygones be bygones. Why do you have such a hate for me Amara? Don't try to deny it in the name of being my superior or whatever, it oozes from every pore of your being. I have nothing against you Amara, don't make me change that. We're here to talk about Zamri and his cubs. Let's focus on that please." Shani said calmly and evenly.

Amara narrowed her eyes. "First off, The first hunt you went on, you get hurt, and snap at the lionesses blaming them for your mistake, second, you blab your mouth about something that you had NO right to tell another about, and lastly, when we told you to stay in camp so we could get Tara, you argued with us. It's been non stop issues with you and Storm! All I ever asked from either of you was to LISTEN and its been you trowing yourself back and fourth between lions, to someone you didnt know and then acting like nothing happened! Your so flip-floppy I cant keep up with you and its rather annoying! And mind you, you havent even been in the pride for three days!"

Ajihad narrowed his eyes, "I don't like that attitude you are cocking at us Shani. Delilah, Storm, yourself are making it very hard to trust new lionesses. You have all been flaky, unpredictable, and unreliable. Second chances are something that should be given. 3rd, 4th and 5th chances shouldn't be needed, yet we still seem to be giving them out. That might be what you are here to talk about Shani, but we have to consider all the factors. Not trusting someone is not the same as hating someone."

Shani sat down and looked at her paws. "Amara, if you were me and standing in Zamri's place was Ajihad, how would you feel? I have tried ever since the incident with Aslan to be a good pride member. I have followed all orders and had conflict with none. Tell me what more I have to do to earn your approval. Gravel on my belly and beg? Giving someone a second chance means that you completely clear their slate and allow them to start over without clinging to the past and constantly shoving it down their throat. Have you ever considered that the fault of them wanting to leave may not rest solely on their shoulders? In the three days I gave been here, I have heard nary a word of encouragement or praise come from your lips. You attract flies with honey, Amara, not vinegar."

Amara kept her eyes narrowed. "You havent EARNED any words of encouragement from me Shani. You had MORE then enough chances and you act like you are entitled to everything in this pride when you havent earned any of it! If I was in your place I wouldnt be making this choice! I would know my place! I've been forced to make this choice. I was exiled from Chaos' pride for being with Ajihad, and I grew up. You act like you need everything handed to you and like you deserve everything! I never did! I knew my place! Had I pulled half the crap you have, I would have gotten my hide ripped into, and starved! If you actually started earning prise you would get it but it's been nothing but me needing to put you in your place!"

"I've admitted to my mistakes! I get that I completely failed all of you! I have it shoved in my face every time I take a paw step. The only one who has actually truly cared about me here is Astrid, but even she is looking at me with disgust at the idea that I would leave. I am at my wit's end here! Everything I do and say is wrong. If I so much as look at you, you despise me. One can only take so much pain and hurt Amara. It would be a blessing to you if I were to die, you would probably throw a giant party over it! You're cold and heartless and I am done constantly apologizing to you. You won't be happy until I leave." Shani was furious. She had dealt with so much crap from Amara and turned the other cheek so many times. She was done spending her days cowering before this dictator of a dominant.

Amara growled. "If you think that way then leave! Take that rat Storm with you since both you you are as thick as theives! You have to constantly apologise because YOU keep messing up! I NEVER had to be so strict on anyone before now! Clean up your act or get out! You are lucky to have had so many chances you ungrateful CUB! Before you and Storm showed up there was NEVER an issue and the only time I got strict with anyone was when it came to burying my cub! Normally I am just fine and happy, but no, I cant be around you becuase EVERY time you show up near me its ALWAYS you needing to apologise for another mistake YOU made! Your lucky I never clawed your ears off, your lucky I never forced you to not eat, or exiling you! You think I'M harsh! Aria exiled Delilah for one major mistake! You've caused more issued than her and your still here! So no, I might not be happy with you, the pride needs as many OBEDIANT lionesses that we can have, but lionesses as pychotic as YOU are unwelcome!"

Ajihad glared at her, "Amara doesn't want you to die. She has been doing things to keep the pride safe. Second chances mean that you get another chance to prove yourself, but it also means that you have to work twice as hard, because you failed the first time. Forgiveness means that the slate is wiped clean. Second chances is a totally different thing, and we didn't offer forgiveness. Even when you do forgive someone, you don't forget what they did. We weren't praised, yet we willingly worked hard to make the pride work. We aren't praised by those that we have to take care of even though everyone argues and tries to contradict us. Why should we praise you, when you've been disobedient, argumentive, and noncooperative? We've had to take so much crap from you. Shut up and listen to yourself." "I am trying to do the right thing! Amara didn't even know what I was talking about when she walked up and she immediately jumped down my throat. I can't take constant upbraiding and criticism. I'm not asking for her to love me or anything like that, just to show some common kindness and courtesy and not be always bringing up my failures. Do you not think that I deal with enough mental torture over it?" Shani had calmed down somewhat. But this situation, like all of the others she had been through, was so painful. Every lion she had ever cared about, Amara had embarrassed and debased her in front of. Shani tried to swallow, but her mouth felt like it was full of rotten meat.
