"Yes, Amara. I will wait for the meeting. Just know that I except full responsibility for what happened. Khaleesi is fully justified in her actions at this point," Shani sighed and turned away. She strolled back over to Astrid and settled down on the cool earthen floor of the cave.

Astrid leaned against Shani so she knew she wasn't alone, when she came back over to her. "I'm glad you're choosing to keep trying. You belong in a pride, and we can figure this out. I'd say give it a couple of weeks at least." She was curious what all this meeting would entail. It sounded like it would be full of information. Khaleesi crept over to Aslan. He was beside Ukuta, and she felt even more uncomfortable. "Can we talk?" she asked him, shuffling her paws like a guilty cub. She looked around and saw Shani with Astrid near the corner. She wanted to talk out of everyone's hearing, but she supposed she would let Aslan dictate how this was going to go.

Aslan took a deep breath before he nodded and stood up. He had heard Amara's roar. "As long as it's quick. I dont want to miss what they have to hear" he said as he shuffled his paws. It wasnt hard to tell he was a bit on edge right then.

Khaleesi shrugged, "I don't think she'll be talking soon. Ajihad isn't back yet. I'll try to be quick, but I can't make promises. Can we talk outside?" She wasn't encouraged about his tone of voice, but at least he was willing to talk.

"Astrid, thank you for believing in me. I know it's not easy," Shani chuckled, trying to make light of the situation. But it fell flat and Shani sighed. She was anxious about the upcoming meeting.

Aslan nodded and headed out of the cave. He wondered what she was going to say, but guessed it was about Shani. He sat down and waited for Khaleesi to speak first. He twitched his ear nervously.

Khaleesi followed him. She tried to keep alert for anyone coming up on them. She shuffled her paws bashfully and looked down at her paws. "Are you mad? What are you thinking?" she asked. She decided she needed to see what he was feeling before she started. She wasn't sure what he was thinking, and what she needed to say.

Aslan sighed. "I'm not mad, at least not at you" he said. "I'm mad that Shani said something to me when it wasn't her place. I'm confused as to why YOU didn't say anything" he said before he looked down. "I-i never saw myself as good enough when I knew you were mates with Karaz. I'm just a subordinate male. Nothing special. You were a dominant, far more special than me."

Khaleesi smiled at him, "That's a relief. I was afraid you were mad at the scene I had made. I know I probably over reacted, but Shani being with you got under my skin. It was because she threw herself at you without talking and really getting to know you. She came up to me, and said that she wanted to be friends even though we both like you, which got under my skin. After I that I argued with her, and she told me that she was going to leave us alone, and just try to be friends with you. I might have been annoyed at y'all being together, but I wouldn't have said anything if you were actually friends. I then heard her go over to you, and say that I like you, and I was finished. She had said that she would leave us alone, but she beelined toward you, and I lost it after she said that..ahem," she cleared her throat nervously. "I didn't realize I had any feelings for you at all. You had been dead, and then suddenly you had come back. Shani made me realize that I might feel more for you. That's one reason I didnt' say anything. I didn't think I should say anything. I didn't think about saying anything," she admitted embarrassed. She cocked her head, as he continued, "I had never thought of it that way. I was just trying to hold the pride together, because no one else was willing to take that position. I didn't think of myself as special." She shrugged, "Even though Karaz and I weren't really a thing, I don't think I could have had a relationship with anyone under his rule."

Aslan nuzzled Khaleesi. "I've cared about you for a long time. I just always thought you deserved someone just as special as you if not more so" he said as he looked at her. "I just never said anything since for the most part dominant males hate when subordinate males like me have mates" he sighed.
