Jasiri / Jasiri drifted out of his daydreaming and looked up at Ajihad. "Yes, of course", he said and stood up, shking his mane and body from dust, "We going on border patrol?" / Nyasi / Nyasi widened his eyes as Tara suddenly tripped in front of him and he bumped into her and tumbled over. He was slightly winded, but still managed to laugh. "Ah meerkats! We lost the prey!", he giggled, bolting up onto his paws.

Tara couldn't help but laugh as she ended up laying back down. She saw Fae still running with Luna and Echo chasing her, all of them laughing and gigging before Echo stopped and walked up to Ajihad. "Can I go too" he asked.

Ajihad nodded, "That's what I was planning." He waited to see if there would be any objections. He turned slightly surprised that Echo had volunteered himself. He dipped his head, "Sure, you can come." He supposed he would have to try to do some training with him. While Chaos could do some of it, it was better if someone trained him also. He remembered that they were half brothers, so maybe he should be more invested in it. He led the way out of the den, and headed toward the border. "I smell a nomad," he commented after they had been marking for a while. "Echo, why don't you try to track them down. Don't worry about failing, if we start going in the wrong direction, I'll correct you."

Nyasi / Nyasi laughed more with Tara, but then Ajiahad and Echo got his attention. His heart twinged with desire to follow them, but he hesitated, and soon they and Jasiri were gone. He sighed and batted Tara's head thoughtfully. "When you grow up, will you be staying in the pride?", he asked her suddenly. / Ivy / Ivy lay back down beside Chaos and watched the patrol group leave. "Who is Ajihad's mother?", she asked, "I know you are his father, but I don't think I ever heard his mother to be mentioned". Edited at May 25, 2020 08:29 AM by Heather pack

Tara rolled onto her back and shrugged. "I don't know. It's the only place I know. It's scary out there." She sighed, not sure if she would stay or leave. / Echo sniffed around, it taking him a moment to catch the scent. After a moment he was padding after it, but was unable to see the loner. He looked around with a confused look on his face.

Shani relaxed on her side. The cool floor of the cave soaked into her belly fur. It felt nice not having to go somewhere or be constantly on the move. She began to groom herself, licking her paws and running them over her ears. She could hear the water bubbling and decided to get a drink. She rose and padded quietly over to the water. She lowered her head and delicately lapped the surface of the water with her salmon colored tongue. She raised her head, looking around, water dripping from her chin. She strode over to Khaleesi. "Hey, mind if I lay by you?" Shani asked, tentatively.

Storm turned lifting up onto her paws making her way to the watering hole. Her ears twitching listening for danger that might be laying in wait for her. Walking down the well worn path leading to the watering hole.As she walking her tail swaying a little behind her. She was not really wanting to be near the others in the pride. She was slowly leaning towards starting to look for sire for her cubs.

Chaos was happy to see Ivy again. He froze for a moment a little surprised by her question. He wasn't sure what to say, because he doubted she would be happy. When had he started caring what she thought? When had she cared? "Um...." he cleared his throat hoping he would be spared. "She was an older nomad lioness," he sort of mumbled not happy that he was telling her. "Her name was Nasuada," he finished not able to make eye contact with her even though technically he had done nothing wrong. This was what had started pulling his former mate away from him, when he told her something like this. Ajihad followed his nose and tried to let Echo do the tracking. He soon caught sight of a lioness and some cubs. He thought they would make a good addition to the pride, so he didn't want to scare them away. He stayed there carefully, trying to seem not threatening. "Can I help you?" Khaleesi looked up in surprise. She shrugged, "Sure." She began grooming herself more meticulously. She barely kept her ears from going back as she watched her suspiciously. What did she want from her? "Can I help you?" she asked wanting to get Shani out of her hair as soon as possible.

"I would like to be honest with each other, if at all possible. I know that you have a crush on Aslan, as do I. But I really don't want this to divide us. I genuinely like you Khaleesi," Shani spoke with sincerity. She looked Khaleesi in the eyes, hoping to see agreement to what she had said.

Khaleesi raised a brow, "You want to be honest? Have you been lying to anyone?" She found it hard to believe that Shani could actually like her. She didn't even know her. "Very well, if you want me to be honest, you've known me for less than twenty four hours. I find it hard to believe that you actually like the real me. I was completely neutral to you Shani, but you have made it hard to like you. You disobeyed our pride leaders, and acted like you knew everything the best when you first got here. Besides, that I am friends with Aslan. I have known him for years. We have been in many different prides together: Karaz, Ajihad, Siku and Ajihad. We have faced hardships together. We have a bond. It might not be what you are hoping for with him, but we have something. You have been around for one day, and you already throw yourself at him. It's disturbing to watch such a grasping lioness, trying to get close to him. It speaks of pitifulness and desperation. If you were really my friend, and if you really respect Aslan, you would try to be a real friend to Aslan before you start acting like that." Her face hardened, "You were all over him without an invitation, licking him like you were mates. If you want something real with him, you'll slow your roll. What do you know about him? Can he even consider you to be a real friend? Do you even know if you can depend on him? Friendship takes time and trust. It takes time to build, and you haven't let that happen. You can't just come up to me and expect to be friends with me. You might be able to expect me to be friendly, but you have to prove friendship through words and action. I won't let you wanting something with Aslan mess up any chance of friendship for us, but you have to be friends with him first before something more can exist."
