Khaleesi's eyes widened in surprise and disbelief, "Humans can...are willing to help us? Why? How? Why?" she couldn't think up better questions. She wanted to change the topic toward Shani again, but she was too scared.

Aslan shrugged. "Some seem to be willing to. They could have killed me while I was laying out there in the dirt, but they helped. I don't know why." He looked at Khaleesi. "I still don't know why they did. But because they helped me, I'm able to be here with my friends still" he said with a smile.

Khaleesi smiled at him, "I'm surprised you managed to find us again. I'm surprised that you were brave enough to come find us," she said. She had forgotten that it hadn't been for very long, and he should have been able to expect to come back to a normal pride. She decided to take advantage of the moment that Shani wasn't close by and she moved closer to him. If she was too scared to bring up what was going on between him and Shani, for some reason she thought it would be a good idea to make Shani jealous.

Aslan chuckled. "I just followed the scent to where Chaos's camp was, and when I saw nobody was there, I made sure to follow where everyone went" he said. He looked a little confused as to why Khaleesi was getting closer, but he decided to not say anything. *What is with the Lionesses getting close to me suddenly* he thought.

Shani noticed Khaleesi move closer to Aslan and barely held back a growl. But Aslan didn't seem interested in Khaleesi, Shani held her peace. She went over to the cub that had licked her wound. "Hey, there! What is your name?" she asked kindly.

Nyasi / Nyasi also giggled as he sat up, watching after Tara for a short while before running after her. How he loved these moments when, Tara would be happy and carefree when no nightmares are pestering her! He always wondered what a life it would be for her if no misfortunes with her mother has ever happened. She would be completely different. But then, would he have been friends with her if she was different? Probably not. / Ukuta / Ukuta was daydreaming, which became often in recent days. Her grey eyes wandered over everybody, pausing for a moment on Aslan and Khaleesi. She observed Khaleesi, and smiled softly. The brown lioness was jealous, even though it is unnoticeable for other lions. She closed her eyes, remembering her past younger days, focusing only on the good ones. / Ivy / Ivy started hiding the food, disguising its smell with a thin layer of dirt. They'll be taking off the skins anyway. They can't afford attracting another army of hyenas. She stepped away after finishing hiding the food that is only visible to her pride and stalked off to the entrance of the cave, lying down. She looked over at Nyasi playing with Tara, and smiled before looking away. She started at the horizon, sniffing at the air now and then to catch any scent of intruders or enemies.

Khaleesi gave a polite smile, "I'm glad you found us." Her smile hid the pang of disappointment. No positive reaction. She supposed she could be thankful there wasn't a negative one either. She had been surprised at how meekly Aslan had let Shani lick him. It had almost been quite sickening for her, because none of the mates acted like that. Could Aslan not see what was right in front of his face? She was about ready to get up and leave. She shouldn't sink so low as to fight over a male. If Aslan liked her, he should be the one fighting for her not the other way around. She noticed Shani look her way, and her voice took a frosty tone,"It looks like Shani wants to come back over here, so I guess I better be going," she made her excuse to go. It was very pointed and not subtle at all. She was tired of trying to figure out what was going on. She arose and started walking away.

Aslan looked at Khaleesi. "If she wants to come over here that's fine" he said. "But you don't have to leave." He watched Khaleesi a moment. "We are all a pride and I don't want to push any of my friends away" he said, not knowing why the Lionesses were acting weird around him. He'd never had this happen before and he didn't know why both of them seemed so clingy suddenly, especially a Lioness he just met a couple days before. / Tara laughed as she ran, though she didn't pay attention and ran straight into Midnight who just looked at her sternly. Her eyes were wide as she backed up. "S-sorry" she said. The dark coated male shook his head. "Just be careful. We don't need anyone hurt" he said as Fae took her paw and booped Tara on the nose before the cub took off laughing. "Can't catch me" Fae yelled, causing Tara to bolt after her with a laugh, Luna soon joining in.

Yael didn't want to be left out of any kind of fun. He went to go play with Fae. Since everyone seemed to be chasing Fae, he started scrambling after her also. "Oh yes I can!" he replied to what he considered a challenge. He dug his claws into the ground for extra traction. He leaped for Tara's tail, and he booped Luna. Khaleesi held back a sigh, because it wasn't quite the answer she was looking for. She regretted not moving faster, when there hadn't been any competition. She hadn't ever thought that this would occur. She sat down, but she didn't look as at ease as she had previously. "How do you like the new lions?" she asked. She could be referring to the newest members or she could be referring to the lions that they hadn't been in a pride with before.

Shani turned her attention to the cubs. Aslan had the right to make his own choices, she wasn't going to force herself on him. "Cubs, I don't believe we have met yet. What are your names?" Shani asked them. She wanted to get to know them all. She loved all cubs, but the one who had licked her head wound and cheered her up had a special place in her heart.
