Árón-40-Bubba-Mrs Graves, Students(ind)- Barn/practice arena . As Callahan looks over to the other teacher he suddenly seems to realize the time and looks to his watch. . "Well I think that's actually where I'll be havin' te go. Jumping placement is going on and I'm needed over in the main practice arena. Goodbye for now" . With a quick tip of his hat he jogs over to the practice arena and whistles harshly. "Alright!... anyone who wants to get their mounts ready... I want all riders to get circling and taking the ground poles at a long trot in 2 point to warm up before taking the small cavaletti on the south side of the arena. Limber up your horses and then we will start with beginner placements......... when you come up to me state your name, jump experience, and highest jump that you feel comfortable with." . He grabs his clip board and moves off to go and set up several jumps. 3 verticals... 5 cross rails.... two oxers. All of varying heights and difficulties with straight posts and winged... some with flower boxes.. and one liverpool

Donna - T-Bird - Callahan and students - Arena . "Don't get started without me, Aron!" The normally cow boy hat wearing lady comes long trotting out on a beautifully turned out palomino. She looks the part in her black tall boots and cream breeches. Her blue polo is the same color as the pad on T-Bird as she rides up to the other instructor. She halts the gelding quietly and smiles down to him. . "So, Callahan... You have me as your demo rider while I observe the kids. I want to see how they ride while I am not the one barking at them..." She offers a hand down to him. "We are in this together again, Aron. Let's make this a fun ride!" She smiles brightly again before going to long trot her gelding over the trot poles and cross rails, warming him up to demo for the students as they come in.

Árón-40-Bubba-Donna, Students -arena . . With a smile he will chuckle once as light eyes look over the Students filing in and starting their exercises... sighing as he already sees Students with their stirrups far too long... riding in martingales that are too tight and without splint boots... he runs a hand over his face as he sees one girl on a spotty pony cross proceed to hit EVERY....SINGLE.... GROUND POLE.... . "God help me Donna........ exactly what is the beginner class gonna look like? 1ft cross rails?.... and... is that boy over there riding in a pelham??" He sighs again and looks to her and then pats T-Bird on the flank. . "Anyway bonny lass... how about you go and take the old bird off over the first line of cross rails. Think he can take the 3ft center or is he still more of a 2.5ft gent?" . . . . glossary of terms Ground pole- wooden poles used in equestrian exercise that teach rhythm and cadence. Keep the horse in mind of where their feet are. Are used to teach timing and distances in jumping too. . Cavaletti- low raised poles. Most only being 4-6 inches off the ground. Used mostly in training and warm ups. . Martingale- any number of devices. Leather or rope in construction, that are used to aid with control of the head position of horses while riding. When they are adjusted correctly they can aid in helping control an unruly Horse's head tossing. When too tight they can hinder the horse .. in the worst cases they can be considered abusive (if I ever write an NPC or character you will know if it's meant to be the later. Assume if it's mentioned to be too tight it was just adjusted poorly and is not cranking the Horse's face down.) In English disciplines; Standing, German, and Irish martingales are used. . Splint boots- used to protect a horse's legs during exercise, protecting the lower leg from injury that may occur if one leg or hoof strikes the opposite leg. They are commonly seen on horses in fast work, such as jumping, when in training, such as when longeing, or in competitions such as reining or eventing . Pelham (bit)- A double reined bit that is like a combination of snaffle and curb style bits. Usually jointed in the middle for more movement it is controlled with a double set of reins and not just one. Use of this bit is legal, but not common, in show hunter, and English pleasure. In the United Kingdom, this bit is often used in place of a double bridle in show hunter, show hack, riding horse, show cob and mountain and moorland classes, but it is forbidden in equitation and novice classes. The pelham is not permitted in dressage at any level. The pelham is never legal for use in any western riding discipline, where either a snaffle bit or a curb bit is used. Rembrandt Ford - 19 - Black - Practice arena -Mentions: Studens, Donna, Árón, open
Rembrandt, who had been standing near the arena, came into the area while keeping out of other students' way, the ones who were starting the warm-up for their horses. He swiftly mounted Black and urged him into a long trot as they began. He could feel Black's eagerness, he had been through different warm-ups to know that they were preparing to actually have a go at a course. As they circled, he spared brief glances at the other students, he grimaced at the ones dressed inappropriately for riding, or with too long stirrups; he may have not been riding competitively from the age of six or something, but he had grown up around horses and riders, and knew what to wear and what to not. He himself was dressed in dark blue riding breeches and a gray T-shirt. He shoved down a remark to a rider nearby down; no need to start fights because he is annoyed.
Black gave a snort, picking up on his annoyance, and most likely because he was annoyed himself; he reached down and patted the horse's neck softly before going back to the correct posture. It was easy to sink into thoughts when riding Black at an easy pace, the horse's movements smooth, Rembrandt kept focused on just going around and around. Jess-19-Eagle-Front Gate As Jess pulled up in his Ford truck, he let out a breath. He felt Eagle kicking at his seven horse slant. He grumbled about the trip here as he got out, and slamed the door to his truck. He walked to his trailer, and led out the large, shinning chestnut, Jess's white shirt rippling in the wind. Eagle nickered at the other horses. He had a silk blanket on, pricey looking boots, a leather halter, with his name ingraved, and a leather helment. Jess smiled at his gelding. "Your so pretty." And he kissed his nose. He had his stud chain partly out of his pocket, as he walked into the academy, Eagle's hooves clopping on the pavement. Jess found stall 47 easily, and led him in. He strung the lead rope through the bars, but didn't tie him as he started to pull off his blanket. He blinked at his horses shine. Eagle was dappled over his belly, going up his chest, and the lower part of his neck. Jess smiled at him, before heading back to his truck. He turned it off, pulled the key, and opened up the tack room. Buckets fell on him. In suprise he let out a strangled cry, and fell back. He sighed, and pulled his dollie out of his large truck bed. He started stacking buckets, blankets, halters, grain, and so many brush bags onto it. To people who didn't realize how big his trailer was would have thought he was magic for putting as much stuff as he did. He wheeled it down to the tack room, and started shoving it into his locker. He then went back to his trailer, and grabbed four bridles, three fancy saddles, and at least ten saddle pads. he pushed it over, and unloaded it to, before unhooking his horse. He kept his halter on, but he locked his stall door, as he drove up to the Wolf Estate Building. He jumped out of his truck, which was still on, and in park. He walked in, and to the front desk. "Hello, Jess Turner." He said, and the lady handed him a booklet, and a door key without a word. He blinked, and went back to his truck. He turned it off, and headed inside. He looked down at the paper. Dorm room 2. He looked up. Perfect. He opened the door put his stuff away, and drove off in his truck to park his trailer. Eagle kicked at the door, whinning for Jess. Where had he gone? He was Jess round the corner, a saddle pad, saddle, and bridle in tow. His ear flew forwards as he started nickering. "Quit." Jess growled. He was always this way. Eagle tossed his head, but stopped when Jess came in. Eagle put his head down, and Jess put on the white saddle pad, before putting on the saddle. Eagle began to paw. Hurry up! He thought, looking around. Jess tighted the girth, and shoved the bit in, before grabbing his crop, and helment. He had driven for eight hours, flown for twelve in his riding pants, knee high black leather english boots, and his riding shirt. It showed his being dumped more than once. He walked him out the barn to the outsdoor riding area, where the jumped already where. He checked his girth, and mounted. Ten minutes later Eagle was warmed up, and they were going towards their first jump. A four bar, four foot oxer. Eagle's strides quickened as the got closer, and right as he jumped Jess two-pointed, before gently putting them in course for another jump.

Jason-19-Solstace-Anyone at the jumping lessons Jason heard a shrill whistle, and saw a man coming over who he assumed was an instructor. Jason quickly obeyed instructions and went to work, soon heading over to the instructor. "Sir, I'm Jason Miroza. I believe I'm late intermediate to advanced, and I think Solstace can handle about a 3.2 foot jump." Is that good enough to get into the intermediate class? Jason wondered. "If I really pushed him I bet we could do a 3.4." Jason hoped that would be enough to get him into the class he wanted, but he knew he shouldn't hope to much. Jason went back to his excercises, and tried to impress the man who could influence his life greatly

Árón-40-Bubba-Jason- practice arena . . While he seems a bit confused that a student just showed up with a 7 horse, tacked up, and decided to just go off and jump in the side arena.. he will sigh and look to the lad on the draft that comes trotting over to him. With a tip of his head he will ask start to ask him some questions. . "Well hello Jason... I see ye have a rather big lad there. What styles of jumps has he done before? So many draft horses really aren't all that meant for jumping large heights due to their weight.. but a single jump of 2ft 6 or a 3ft 6 cross rail should be doable in moderation. I just don't want to see the big fellow hurt on my watch..." . He reaches over to offer the shire his hand to sniff. . "He looks to be a well built thing though. His feet seem a good size and not so large I'd worry about him hurting himself going over a gate.. has he shown any breed events for hunter classes?"

Jess-19-Eagle-outdoor jumping arena Jess turned for another oxer when he heard a sharp whistle. "I'm supposed to be in there, huh?" He turned Eagle towards the open gate, and the cantered to the door, before Jess got off and walked him in. Once in the arena he mounted Eagle again. "I'm sorry I'm late." He looked down at his boots before looking up at the instructor. "I am Jess, and I am advanced." He meet the instuctors eyes. "I am working on jumping five feet. We show about 4 and half feet." He turned to the big draft, at whom Eagle was pinning his ears at. He rolled his eyes at his horse. "Quit that Eagle." He growled at him. Eagle stopped, but seeing a jump he began to paw. Jess's eye twitched. "Excuse me." He walked him over to a corner, where Eagle started to paw more. He felt Eagle lurch under him, and he shorted his inside rein, driving him into a circle. He let him out of it after a few times around. "Are you done?" He snarled. He sat there for a bit, before heading back over. "Sorry."
