Vincenzo (Vinnie) Ellis | Male | Serpent-Tongue | M: Freya, Lumi (Filae, Delingg) Filae snapped at the dragon, her amber eyes glaring with fire. Her chin jerked upward, taking several steps back as she let out a warning hiss. "Back off," she snapped at him. "Pesky lowlife. I'm not here for a conversation," her voice was full of venom, fangs bared at the other dragon. "I'm here to rescue my human out of the trouble he got himself into." As the woman continued forward, Filae snapped her neck forward, nearly snapping at the offending hand. Vinnie lurched forward. "Don't touch her," he protested. "She doesn't... she's... she's not fond of others. But of course she didn't hurt my dragon. Filae's more of a threat than anyone else is. Besides, that other lady was berating me for rescuing this one."
He glanced down toward Lumi. "Are you okay?" He didn't expect an answer right away. "Assigned a dragon-rustler? Uhm, excuse me? Absolutely not. I can take care of myself--" Filae jerked her chin away again, scoffing at the treat. Delingg, however, poked his head up sniffing eagerly. Oh he liked that smell. He uncurled, poking his head out to snap the treat that Filae turned her nose at. Vinnie let out a disgusted noise as the other beast drew her tongue up his face. "Yeah, well, you aren't exactly nice either," he pointed out. "Sorry, but you could've been nicer." Vinnie looked toward the woman. "No. I didn't get a chance. I'm not hurt either. I rescued her from trappers or whatever they are and she came winging around after me to try and snap at me for my recklessness. She was all like; 'oh my gosh you could've hurt her and blah blah blah' y'know the deal. But she definitely seemed flighty. Took off as soon as she caught wind of you," his jaded eyes softened just a touch. "Look, I'm... I'm sorry for being cold to you," Vinnie said shortly. "But, you threw me off with that snappy thing and just the demanding and stuff. Just ask next time, alright? If there is a next time. It'll do you better."
Filae jerked her head downward and curled her tail around the WinterWinder, almost daring the woman to touch her. It was... definitely unlike the WindDancer to be suddenly protective of something. Vinnie failed to hide his own surprise. "What's your name, kid?" Filae sniffed lightly at the smaller dragon.

Lumi|Winterwinder|Female|M: Vinnie+his dragons and Freya Lumi looked at Freya and growled. Lumi wasn't keen on the fact she had been knocked over but she did get up. She didn't like the fact the the Dragon was pinned and vinnie was tossed aside. Lumi looked at the her and said "Name is Lumi." She was a bit ticked off of the fact she knocked Vinnie and His Dragon down. Lumi felt a tail wrap around her and she found comfort in it. She was still glaring daggers at Freya tho. She stared at Vinnie and said "Are you okay also I'm fine just sore is all..." She turned her head to face the dragons around her and anyone the wasn't Vinnie 's dragons got dagger glares. Limo figured it may be better to stick with Vinnie and wondered if he would be willing to take her with him. Edited at May 23, 2022 11:20 PM by Icewing

Elijah Phoenix | Dragon Tamer | Male | M: Juniper Elijah exchanged a few silver pieces with the leatherworker, dropping Atayi's old tack on the table. "Your tack will be done tomorrow morning. Have a good day, sir." The leatherworker said, waving Elijah out of his shop. Elijah stepped out the door, "Well, Atayi, unfortunately we have to-" He cut off abruptly, staring at a man with some dragons that were standing next to his dragons. "Hello, may I help you?" He asked politely, moving to stand between the man and Atayi. Atayi rolled her eyes, her tail lashing. "I don't need your help, Elijah. I am perfectly capable of taking care of myself." She had completely ignored the man that had scratched her chin. She rustled her wings, and raised her head in a dignified way. - Thea Norton | Dragon Freer | Female | M: Open Thea followed the tunnels until she came into a larger cavern, with other tunnels branching off into different directions. Some looked man-made, others looked natural. Dragons were flitting between the tunnels, arguing, and starting accidental fires or freezing something. Thea walked past them and began to pick up the dragon scales that were left behind. Dragons shed like crazy, but the good thing was that she had somewhere to put the scales. "Here, split these up and give them to the habitat leaders. While your at it, find Okami and tell her to come meet me." She told a passing Twisterwing. The Twisterwing nodded and took off towards one of the tunnels that radiated coldness. Thea continued walking towards another tunnel, breaking up a few dragon fights along the way. She wandered through it and emerged in a rather large cave. This one had grass growing on the ground, along with trees and various plant life. Dragons of warm weather species were flying, sleeping, eating, and doing several other things in the cave. Fans were dotted across the ceiling, and warm air from the outside blew in. A man-made river flowed smoothly through the landscape, splitting it in half. An opening cut into the stone in the ceiling allowed dragons in and out. Thea stopped when she came across a hut and walked in, grabbing some dried potato slices. She sat on the grass outside her hut, munching on the potato slices. Eventually a bright white Polar Dragon with piercing, light blue eyes settled in the grass in front of her. "Do you need something, Thea?" Okami asked smoothly. The stance of the Polar Dragon radiated regalness and almost queenliness.

Juniper Grenleff | Demi-Boy | 22 | Serpent-Tongue Speaker | M: Ejiah Juniper jolted as a man stood in front of him, nearly falling backwards before Pavi stopped him with her head and lifted Juniper back onto his feat. Juniper just was frozen in pure terror. What did he do? What was he supposed to do?? With dragons, you always greet them by not looking them in the eyes, approaching calmly, and petting them if they allow you to touch them. Sometimes, if dragons were misbehaving or acting tough, you have to put them in their place by telling them “no” and getting them to back down. If they were especially shy, you flop down onto the floor and let them come to you. Or you hold something shiny or you bring food to greet them. This— this thing— was not a dragon, so what the hell did Juniper say? “Speak, already!” Pavi hissed, nudging him forward to the point where Juniper and the boy were only a few centimeters away. “Well what am I supposed to say??” Juniper asked her weakly, their hands practically shaking as they pressed as close to her as possible. ““Oh, hi there! My name’s Juniper and I have literally no fucking clue how to interact with you and don’t have the sanity to actually speak properly!” Oooooh yeah, that sounds like a great introduction! I am sure he’d looooove that!” Juniper gave jazz hands to their dragon with the largest, most fake grin possible as their voice dripped with sarcasm between every word. “At least start with a “hello” or maybe answer his question,” Pavi shot back with a snort, gently hitting Juniper upside the head with her tail. Juniper yelped quietly and rubbed the spot they’d been hit. “Fine, I will!” Juniper grumbled sourly to Pavi before turning to the man before them. “Yes, I would like your help.” Juniper pushed past the man and began studying the leather around her face while looking for a way to take it off safely. “I have no clue what this all is but it’s clearly not good. It’s uncomfortably tight and if this dragon gets stuck in the woods or hit by a bird while flying, this thing could snag on it and choke her or seriously injure her.” Juniper looked up to the man as he crouched down. “It would be super awesome if you could get me a brush while I figure this out because there looks to be sand stuck between the scales where an Ice-Cutter’s cooling glands are so she could overheat. There is a low probability of that, but it is still good to not let them get clogged especially on hot days like today. I haven’t taken a good look at this other dragon yet, but she has melanism so her scales soak up the heat more. I have got something that should cool her down in my bag, but I haven’t tried it with Tidalwings yet…. Oh! If you could get some meat too, that’d be great!” Juniper smiled weakly before his smile instantly faded as he panicked slightly. “That’s… That’s not a huge request, right? Sorry! I can do it on my own if you need me to! Err… uhh… You did offer your help so I guess it would be rude to turn you down….” Juniper fiddled nervously with their gloves with a huff. ~~~ Freya Rouge | Female | 24 | Dragon-Rustler | M: Thea, Vinnie, + Lumi “What? Hunter, what’s a lowlife?” Hayden asked as he tilted his head and turned to his companion. “I’m not a lowlife, am I?” “No no no, you’re not a lowlife, this is just a very mean lady!” Hunter replied with a huff, trying to act all fierce as he bared his teeth at the dragon and hissed with his tail raised. Being a Striker, Hunter tried his best to be fierce and menacing despite his short stature. “Are you able to speak Serpent’s Tongue?” Freya asked as she tilted her head and looked up to him, her eyes wide as she opened her mouth slightly in shock. “That’s an incredible feat! I— Wow.” Freya seemed a bit breathless that she was in the presence of someone who could speak this rare language and she just seemed to have about a million questions floating about, but none of which she asked as she forced herself to focus on her job. “I still would absolutely recommend someone to aid and watch over you because, while you may be extremely capable, you will be unable to fend off a multitude of dragon-freers as they attempt to catch you. I especially recommend that others protect you if you speak Serpent’s Tongue; however, it is your decision and I trust your judgement with whatever you choose.” Freya chuckled as she studied the Frill Wyrm, surprised by its presence before holding out yet another treat. “Your dragons are all very adorable.” Freya frowned and grew serious again as she stood, reaching into her satchel and pulling out a long cylinder with a small opening on one end and a ring on the other. “For their stake and your own, please take this. If you pull the ring at the end, it will create a flare that is visible almost across the whole world. Dragon-rustlers will come to protect you if they see this. “Have I been mean? How was I being mean?” Sylvi asked sadly, somewhat surprised he could understand her and that an insult to her was his first words to her, before huffing. Whenever Sylvi gave licks, it was a privilege to earn them in her mind as she didn’t lick just anyone. “I have not been mean, Small One. We just want to protect you. If anything your friend has been mean to my petite friends. But what matters is that you’re safe, correct?” “So you rescued this Winterwinder, the dragon-freer started to harass you then left once she heard me, and now I have found and began to interrogate you, correct?” Freya asked after writing the sequence of events down on a small notepad. Freya sighed before calling her Sniffer to her side with a soft whistle. Sniffer bounded over like a dog, his tail wagging excitedly as he waited for instructions before Freya whispered, “good boy.” “If you are free, might I ask you more questions while Hayden sniffs this Winterwinder? If you give us your permission and allow Hayden to perform his duties, perhaps I can track down whoever was attempting to trap this dragon. Dragon trapping is highly illegal, as I am sure you’re aware, so any opportunity to catch and stop them is worth any work that is needed on my part.” Freya blinked as the man before her apologized to her. “Oh? Oh, no need to apologize to me. Most people are often like that to me for some reason. I don’t know what you mean by being demanding or snappy, but I suppose I should apologize for that.” Freya was entirely obviously to the fact that she seemed rude or impolite because she just looked terrifying and did not fully understand this fact. Her height, her scars, her muscles, and even her metal leg all looked highly intimidating. Even though Freya might be attempting to be friendly, comforting, or sympathetic, she often comes off as cruel or cold due to her lack of understanding social cues and things of the like. “I just need a few more questions before you leave,” Freya mumbled as she wrote quickly into her small notebook. “Did the dragon-freer attempt to communicate with you where she would be heading to? Perhaps she gave you something of interest? Also, for the record, would you mind telling me your name in case further investigation is required into the events that transpired?”

Lumi|Winterwinder|Female|M: Vinnie and Freya Lumi looked at Freya not happy when she saw the sniffer. She growled at the sniffer and flew into the air but stayed close to Vinnie. Lumi said "No one is sniffing me!" She lashed her tail in the air as an obvious sign to say she would attack if Freya or her dragons tried anything. Lumi was not keen at the fact they were still here but she decided to stay with Vinnie. Lumi countined to say "I don't care who they are!" She growled and snarled in the process of getting behind Vinnie. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Alexis | Female | Ice-Cutter | M: Thea Alexis looked around and flew back up when she spotted an island. She flew towards the island and once there she landed thorough a roof which was weird. She landed next to a hut by her surprised and noticed was inhabited. She looked around spotting the women and jumped back. She noticed a polar dragon and the same tidalwing too. Alexis said "Where am i?"

Nearing sunset, some clouds are in sight. The wind is starting to die down )) Elijah Phoenix | Dragon Tamer | Male | M: Juniper Elijah squinted, eyeing the shorter man as he rattled off all the things he wanted. "..Right." He decided to play along, to see what would happen. Atayi and Zai were perfectly capable to hold their own against him, especially since they had the advantage of Atayi's windsurfing. Elijah, having owned Atayi since he was a little boy, knew well about the dangers of an Ice-Cutter in warmer weather. He always kept his supplies in his backpack, along with camping provisions. Leaning down, he grabbed his backpack that was still left at Atayi's feet, and unzipped it. He rummaged around in it until he found his dragon brush and a plastic bag of vension. A few shop owners were beginning to come outside, lighting the street lamps. He his plastic bag, discreetly giving a little to Zai. Elijah closed it up again, flopping it and the brush at the mans feet. "So what's your name, mystery-man? I'm Elijah Phoenix. You can call me Eli, though. Was that Serpent Tongue you were speaking earlier?" Atayi huffed, glaring down at the man in front of her. A small growl esecaped her throat, a peek of her teeth showing. Zai cautiously crept her way across Atayi until her legs were on the back of her upper neck and her wings draped across her horns. She stared blankly in the rough direction that she thought she heard Pavi in, which was in the opposite direction. "Hello. If it doesn't sound weird, what species are you? Your scent is.. strange, like you've lived around several other dragons." She murmured shyly. Atayi glanced at the blind dragon on her horns and reached up, moving her head until she was actually staring at Pavi.

Juniper Grenleff | Demi-Boy | 22 | Serpent-Tongue Speaker | M: Ejiah Juniper inspected the object attached to the Ice-Cutter’s face so much so that he zoned out of everything entirely. When he found a small buckle and unlatched it, Juniper gasped softly in joy of figuring out how it worked. Within mere moments, Juniper had gotten the rest of the leather off the dragon's face, rubbing just behind her ears with a smile. Juniper felt quite accomplished at figuring out the small device that was just simple leather, holes, and a metal buckle. “Mhm? Sorry what?” Juniper asked, zoning back into the words of the man before him. Apparently his name was Ejiah. “Oh! Uh, you probably need my name too umm…. Well, I am Juniper and this—” Juniper wrapped an arm around Pavi’s neck and pulled her closer— “is Pavi!!” Pavi licked Juniper’s face as she tried to wriggle out of their grip. Pavi inched closer while her big, lion-like claws stepped on his toes a bit as she sniffed his face before backing away and smiling, showing all her teeth as her tail wagged happily. “I think she likes you already, right Pavi?” “He smells funny!” “Pavi! That’s so rude why— why would you—” Juniper shook their head and quickly covered Pavi’s mouth with a nervous chuckle. “Ignore her, you smell fine!” Juniper paused. “Actually I can’t really smell you all that well. Maybe you do smell bad….”Juniper tilted their head at Ejiah’s final question for them. “Huh? Why wouldn’t I speak Serpent’s Tongue? How else would I talk to Pavi?” Juniper shook his head. This man was so strange to her. While reaching for the brush, Juniper froze as he saw the meat in the plastic bag, tilting his head as he poked it gently with the brush. Juniper shivered, not trusting whatever that was in the slightest as Juniper narrowed their eyes suspiciously. Juniper laid down onto the ground beginning to brush the scales on the Ice-Cutter’s stomach. “I know you don’t want this, but I promise you will feel a lot better with less sand in you.” Juniper told the Ice-Cutter with a smile, humming happily between each word. “What’s your name, by the way? Do you have names? I have known quite a few dragons who don’t have names so it’s okay if you haven’t picked a name for yourself yet.” “I’m a Lightning Runner,” Pavi instantly replied creeping closer, gently sniffing the smaller dragon's face. “I just live with a bunch of other dragons. We all cuddle at night for warmth! Cuddle piles are super fun! You smell different too. Less grassy.”

Elijah Phoenix | Dragon Tamer | Male | M: Juniper Elijah exhaled, relieved that the man had not decided to cut Atayi's halter off. For something so small, those things were pretty expensive. "Huh, not a very common name." He chuckled, "I've noticed that seems to happen a lot." His smile faded and he blinked, self conciously sniffing his sleeve and glancing at Zai. His smile soon returned though, "Well, I'm not sure. There's a lot more dragon owners than Serpent Tongue speakers." He watched, puzzled as Juniper poked the vension with the dragon brush as if he had never seen anything like it. Juniper thoroughly confused Elijah. What person had never seen vension before? He stuffed his hands in his pockets. "If you don't mind me asking, where did you come from, Juniper?" Atayi shuffled her front talons, not sure how long she would co-operate in playing along with Elijah. She had never really liked brushing, but Eli always insisted. "Yes, I know. This isn't my first time being brushed, genius." She replied dryly. "The name's Atayi." Zai reached out with one wing cautiously, patting Pavi's nose and avoiding the spike on it. Before she lost her sight, she knew the basics of what all species looked like. "Oh. Must be hard for you Lightning Runners, you'd have to make sure you don't electrocute anybody. Um. Thanks, I guess? I mean, we've been in the arctic for awhile. And Winterwinders aren't exactly fit for warm weather." - Thea Norton | Dragon Freer | Female | M: Alexis Thea nodded. "Yeah, I do actually. How are the new recruits? You are the leader of the winter climate, so I figured if anyone knew, it was you." Okami sighed. "They're... Coping. Not well, mind you, but coping." Thea nodded again and waved Sebastian over. "Go get Ryoko. Find someone to get Scorpion and Reubin as well. We're having a full meeting." Sebastian nodded and zipped away towards the tunnel going out, but not before telling a passing Common Garden to find Reubin. Thea looked back sharply at the voice of an unfamiliar dragon. "Hello." She murmured, scanning the Ice-Cutter. "You are in my dragon shelter. And if you've been here before, you'd know that Northern dragons go to the winter climate. Which, since you are not there, means you are new. How did you get in, anyway? The hole in the ceiling is always well hidden, and the only other entrances are through the sea tunnel and underground tunnel, back in desert climate." Aramis groaned as he wandered in through the underground tunnel. He always hated the desert climate in Thea's shelter, but being a Lightning Runner meant he could not touch water. Coppertails and Twisterwings scattered away from his path as he stomped towards a tunnel that lead to the main cavern, electricity sparking out of his mouth irritatedly. "Aramis do this, Aramis do that." He muttered, clearly in a bad mood. "Here, take these, Aramis, and ignore that you haven't had lunch yet. Your a dragon, Aramis, you can last up to a month without eating." He huffed, still carrying his portion of Thea's first-aid things. Levia tucked her wings in and dove, shooting through a mess of kelp and through a tunnel. She emerged on the other side and shook herself out. She had never really enjoyed being wet, but it was either be wet or have Aramis electrocuted. Walking through several tunnels and weaving her way past dragons in the main cavern, she eventually emerged in the summer climate, which is where Thea had decided to make her hut. Speaking of Thea, there she was, just sitting outside her hut casually, eating dried potatoes and having a nice conversation with a Polar Dragon. Edited at May 25, 2022 10:08 AM by FancyPants

Alexis looked around and then said "I just saw trees and thought i would fly down here." Alexis looked around and then noticed it was the women she had saw ealrier. She walked over to Thea and sat down not sure what to do. Alexis had trust issues but she could tell the women was a dragon freer. She looked at the Polar dagon and then around at the others. Alexis didn't know if she should stay or leave. She looked at the Polar dragon and thought she seems like she could be a queen. Alexis smiled and the looked at Thea. She said "Im Alexis but i go by Lex." Alexis looked towards the water which wasn't very suprising to see a dragon in. Edited at May 25, 2022 12:37 PM by Icewing

Vincenzo Ellis | Serpent-Tongue | Male | M: Freya (her posse) Lumi, (Filae, Delingg) Filae gave Hunter an idle look, clearly not at all amused in the slightest and tightened her tail around Lumi until the smaller dragon lifted up and stayed closer to the human. As if he was going to protect her better than Filae could? Tch. Vinnie took in a deep breath, his eyes flicking toward the sky as the light began to dim. The sky was turning darker, a brilliant golden orange color splaying over, turning the clouds a vibrant yellow. At least the wind was starting to die down, only a gentle breeze that tugged at the edges of his fiery locks. Vinnie looked toward the woman, almost startled by the change in her attitude. One minute cold and demanding the next... strangely bubbly and almost... weird. "Yeah, I... speak serpent tongue...?" He figured she could too and clearly, he was wrong. Oops. Delingg snapped up the treat eagerly, licking his chops and settled back down in the unassuming little scaled roll around Vinnie's waist. Vinnie ran one hand over his head and down his back before looking at the flare. After a moment of thinking, he finally accepted the flare, albeit reluctantly. She spoke for a moment, blinking in confusion and Vinnie's brow furrowed in a bit of distaste. He rolled his eyes. Sure she didn't know. A likely ruse. Whatever. "No, she didn't tell me where she was going. No she didn't tell me much other than to snap at my dragon for rescuing this one," his voice was flat and tired. Also no, she didn't give me anything. Other than a cold look--" he paused, almost hesitating. His name? Now that was something he rarely gave out. "Vincenzo Quincy Ellis," he finally said. "That's my name."
