Gwendolyn was in the process of moving across the road when she caught the scent of smoke and turned in the opposite direction bounding off. She ran past Killjoy and through the trees she heard a howl and let out one of her own to signal where she was. She knew the howl belong to Artemis and followed the sound.

Glacier was in the process of moving the pack across the road helping those that were scared. She watched Killjoy save Brecken and not get back up. She grit her teeth and looked around. "Illusion keep the pack safe on the other side of the road I need to help the rest of my pack and we will meet you in the woods. Keep out of sight of humans." She let out her howl so they would all obey her alpha howl. She then darted towards Killjoy and the other wolf. She smelt the smoke and looked into the trees. "Can you watch him? I must help my pack. I promise I will be back." She heard Gwendolyn and Artemis howl and tried to follow the other scent of Seya Shadow and the others. She knew Gwendolyn could save Artemis and Louvel easily on her own.

Shadow and Night Hawk got to the road, tiredly and covered with soot. Shadow laid Lean down next to Starless Night to help while Night Hawk laid Flame down. Lemon was put down next to them after a moment. Shadow panted before seeing the foxes come out of the bushes with the three pups. Once they were nestled with Flame, Shadow turned back to the burning forest before sitting down. Night Hawk came to sit next to him. "And it burns again. You were so close." Night said, his ears drooping. "No, it's a sign. I must let go of my father and find suitable territory for my pups. This place wasn't going to sustain us." Shadow said surprising Night. There was wisdom in those words that Night had never heard in his voice. Night straightened, smiling. He's becoming his father. Night thought before looking out over the still burning forest.

"it will be ok Seya, I'm going to dip your head under for two seconds just to get the soot out of your nose, eyes, and mouth" he dips her head and his under the water it felt nice to clean his eyes of the smoke.

Night looked at Seya "my breathing is fine, I've suffered through a fire when I was little." Night revealed the scar of a small burn on her left hind leg. "but I can't say the same for my pups" she looked toward her pups with worried eyes as she hears the faint coughs wheezing out of them

Call awoke in a dizzy smoke filled her lungs as she rose "CALLI" she hears someone yell. she runs to the voice tears streaming in her eyes from the smoke. she got closer to a wolf, no two Louvel was on the other wolf's back "LOU!" she cries stumbling toward him and the other wolf

"Whew, Lemon is suprisingly heavy!" Brecken said, panting. He sneezed from smoke in his nose, and begun to clean his head with is paw. He stopped and stood up, going into a sneezing fit.

Seya closed her eyes once the water hit her face and pawed at the water as she was worried she would drown. She accidentally pawed him and whimpered because of it. "Sorry." She said once she was out of the water. She looked at Night and whimpered again. "I'm sorry about that."

Gwendolyn narrowed her eyes to see through the smoke she called out again. "Artemis! Louvel! Calli!" She moved in the direction again she had heard the howl.

Glacier saw Shadow get his family out safely and turned in the direction to help Gwendolyn with the others. She gave a howl to let the others still lost in the smoke know she was on the way to help them. Her ears flickered as she heard the closest one remembering her as Calli she bolted faster and soon reached up to Calli. "Calli we need to go in the opposite direction Gwendolyn is getting Lou and Artemis." She picked up the pup and began running back towards the others.

Night feels the small hit "it's ok Seya" she says to her she can see the fear in Seya's eyes. She sees Seya's head start to dip under. she looks at Dark Knight. he was staring at Night with confused eyes. Night quickly lurched to catch Seya's head because Dark Knight wasn't paying attention

"you're not weak Seya," Knight says "you're just scared, don't let fear speak for you" he stands a little higher to make sure she doesn't go under again.

Night listened to the conversation she looked up into the sky it is red with flames she looks around "this is all too familiar." she says "there was a fire when i was a pup, i lost my family that day, and my home"
