Shadow didn't hear Seya, nor was he going in the direction of the flowers or trees or the fire. He weaved the trees, the foxes jumping branches furiously. They would get there faster than he would, but he needed his family out of the forest pronto. Jumping a log, his stride lengthened easily as he went into his fastest sprint entering the meadow. It was on fire now but he didn't care. All that was in mind was his family. He could already see his pups, sister and mate in his mind.

Seya stopped once she saw the fire and ran to the stream and scooped up as much water as she could to stop the fire from spreading around the trees and flowers. She knew that it wouldn't work, thus she started crying, but she had to at least try. 'Please work, please, please, please." She cried as she saw everything around her burning. "I don't even care if I burn to death. Just save the flora." She was shaking. "Save his forest. Save Shadow's forest."

Brecken opened his eyes to see Saya rush past.

Where is she going? He thought and saw Shadow. He gasped, and bolted after him. He was small, lean and fast, so he easily caught up with him.

"Shadow! Let me help you!" He said, running next to him. His run was extended like a greyhounds, as he hurdled past the trees and into the fire.

Night Hawk watched them disappear into the forest before turning to Killjoy, "I have to go after him. His pups are near the fire with his mate." With that, he let out a howl before running into the forest. If he remembered correctly, the small pup pack was across the meadow. Sobbing brought him to a halt before he switched directions to find Seya near the fire. "Seya! Forget that right now! Come help me and Shadow with his pups!" He barked at her before heading in that direction.

Brecken reached the den.
"Let me take a pup." He said, picking up Callie. He then turned and waited for Shadow to get there. His shoulder hurt from when he had landed on Killjoy, but he did not mind it.

It must be better then what Killjoy felt when he landed.. He thought as he sat down and waited.

|Killjoy|

Killjoy was on the other side of the road from the pack. He heard Night go after Shadow. He tryed to open his eyes, but all he saw was the darkness of his eyelids. He huffed, and weezed, trying to gain back his breath. He felt pain all through out his left side. His eyelids fluttered as he tryed to open his eyes again. When he was not able to do so, he laid in the darkness of his own head.

Shadow watched as Brecken went in a completely different direction but Shadow wasn't thinking about that at the moment. He stopped at a large pine before throwing himself down the tunnel. In the center of the cave was his three pups, Flame, Lean and Lemon. "Lemon! Help Flame out of here! Lean, help me with the pups!" Shadow shouted, picking up a pup before passing it to one of the foxes which scurried up the tunnel. He picked up another pup before realizing that Lean and Lemon was passed out with the smoke. Flame was coughing in the corner. Passing the pup to Icicle, he went to pick up the last pup when Thorn came running in. She picked up the last pup before following Icicle out. Shadow picked up Lean, laying her on his back before picking up Flame. Night Hawk came down instantly knowing what to do next. He picked up Lemon before following Shadow back up the tunnel.

Starless followed through all of this with calmness. When he saw Killjoy collapse, he went over to help before giving him water and making him eat the herbs. "Rest here while we wait. They should be back soon." Starless said, sitting down next to Killjoy.

"Wait.. theres no smoke in here." Brecken said, as he saw he went into the wrong den. He turned out, and followed Shadows scent. He stepped in.

"I can take Lemon." He said, and grabbed him by the scruff, and dragged him out.

Seya didn't hear what Night Hawk had said, she was too busy trying to save the plants from the fire. She breathed slowly to try not to inhale too much smoke. "I don't care what happens to me. I don't care if I burn." She said and then picked up a burning flower and watched as her tears fell onto it.
