|Fern|

Fern trotted along behind the pack, carrying Sky.

"Hi, is it okay if we travel with you?" Fern turned around to find two wolves standing behind her.

"Sure! I'm Fern, and this is Sky. What are your names?" She asked

"I'm Marbled, and thats Brecken." Marbled said, nodding to the small male, who was trembling.

"It's nice to meet you! Are you new to the pack?" She asked.

"No, I'm Killjoy's sister, and Brecken is my mate." She said, trotting along Fern, with Brecken next to her.

|Illusion|

Illusion stalked behind Killjoy. He was still mad at Killjoy for snapping at him, but choose to ingore it. He huffed as Killjoy stopped suddenly, and he ran into him.

|Killjoy|

Killjoy stopped at a busy road. What do I do? He thought. There was a ton of traffic on one side, and non stop cars on the other. He growled and sat down to think. He then jumped up, and let out the biggest howl. Heads turned, and cars pulled over to get pictures of the wolves.

Shadow sighed, "Only from a small time ago. Tried challenging me for my territory and lost. Haven't seen him around for a while since the foxes have been attacking him. Anyhow, we need to get moving." Shadow said, turning back towards where the pack had gone.

Seya stood up and looked at where Dark Night was. "It's nice to meet you, mister." She bowed her head. "Please be safe on your travels. You seem very nice." She smiled. "If you ever need a talk, wait near the nearest stream from here." She said and then looked at Shadow then at the fox, Frost. "Well, hello. I didn't see you there. Have a nice day, mister fox." She bowed her head again and then trotted over to Shadow. "I'm sorry that you had to wait so long for me." She whimpered a little.

Night stopped at the road before seeing Killjoy let out a howl. Most cars kept going but a few stopped to take pictures. "Great, now what?" Night muttered to himself before seeing a pipsqueak of a fox suddenly bolt into the road. He watched as it skitted to a stop in the middle of the road before curling up. Another one suddenly cannonballed out of the forest with a bunch of logs rolling out. The first fox jumped up, getting out of the way as the logs rolled to a halt in the two lanes of the cars. They both cackled at them before one, he thought it might be Icicle, said, "Get going wolves! Logs ain't going to hold them forever! And watch out for pesky kids! Let's go Thorn." She and the other female scurried back into the forest leaving them there. "Well, let's go then. Before the foxes come back for us this time." Night said, chuckling slightly.

"Don't worry. The group isn't too far ahead." Shadow said before starting to walk towards the road. He could hear Killjoy's howl and honking ahead. Frost stayed behind to do who knows what. Shadow got to the road in time to see Icicle and her sister Thorn scurry back into the bushes.

Seya followed Shadow with a little nod. She had nothing more to say. She looked down and made no sound that she was there. Just to make sure that no one would notice her. She didn't want to hear any questions or see any weird glares she usually got from others. She nearly walked into the road before hearing the honking and stopped in fear.

|Killjoy|

Killjoy laughed at Night's comment, before shooting across the road, Illusion on his heels.

"Look Killjoy, I can go faster then you!" Illusion said, bolting off. killjoy stopped at the other side of the road, and turned.

"Thank you, is there any way I can repay you?" He said to the foxes, and may I get your names?"

|Fern|

Fern saw other wolves run across the road, and she wanted to try, but just could not will herself enough. She put one paw on the road, and jumped back and yelped.

|Marbled|

"Brecken, can you take Sky across the road, and wait for us on the other side" Marbled asked. Brecken gently took Sky from Fern, and slowly walked across the road, careful not to wake a sleeping Sky. Marbled grabbed Fern by the scruff, hauled her to her paws, and lead her across the road.

|Sky|

Sky heard weird nosies coming from the other end of the road. There were smells that she had never smelt before.

"Brecken." She said, "Do you smell that?"

"Smell what?" Brecken asked.

"The smoke."

|Brecken|

Brecken's eyes turned wide. He spun around and saw th flames licking the sky. It was the old camp. He stood in the middle of the road with his tail between his legs.

Night laughed before hearing the foxes. "Icicle and Thorn, and you can give your gratitude to our friend Shadow. If you have any that is." The one female said before jumping onto Shadow's back. Night startled realizing that Shadow was now beside him with Seya. Night shook his head before heading over to the other side and stopping with Killjoy and Illusion. Shadow said, "Come on Seya. I will stay right beside you." He then proceeded to go to the other side at a slow trot, taking his time with the foxes on his back.

The other fox, Thorn, disappeared into the forest back towards the old camp. Night was about to yell hurry up when he saw the flames. "Hurry!" He yelled before seeing Shadow turn. "Shadow! Come on!" Night barked at him, willing him to move. The flames were close to the old burning forest but at the moment, it was getting closer to the road. Shadow didn't move for a moment before he bolted. In the wrong direction. Instead of coming towards Night and the others, he bolted back into the forest towards his territroy. "What the heck is he doing??" Night exclaimed, watching to see if he came back out.

Seya blinked and looked up. She sniffed the air once and looked at Shadow. "He's worried about the fire reaching his forest." She muttered out before realizing something. The flowers. The trees. All of that work is going to get burnt! She gulped down a nervous smile as she ran after Shadow. "Shadow wait up! I'm coming with you! I can help." She yelled out to him before she ran faster. Please don't let the fire get too close! She prayed to the gods, closing her eyes. Just this once, please. I'm finally where I belong.

|Marbled|

Marbled dragged a scared Fern across the road.

"Where is Brecken and Sky?!" She snarled as she saw him in the middle of traffic, with the cars starting up again. She caught Killjoy's eye, as they both bolted into the road together. Marbled took Sky, and ran back to Fern.

|Killjoy|

Killjoy's paws thumped against the warm road. He knew that cars were starting to move again, but he couldn't hear the cars as the honked. All he could hear was his heartbeat in his ears, and his paws hitting the road as he ran towards Brecken. He jumped, grabbed Brecken by the scruff and dragged him to the other side of the road.

"Man Brecken, you are light." Killjoy mumbled as he hit the dirt on the other side of the road.

Brecken felt himself flying through the air. He closed his eyes.

I'm dead. He thought as he heard a thump, and landed on something soft.
