Plot Power. One simple word can cause much pain and trouble. Some achieve it through hard work, others are born into it, and others achieve it by sometimes unfathomable means. On the Savannah, two neighboring prides border each other, the Ximhungwe & Manyeleti Pride. It is quite common for neighboring Pride's to have desputes or be hostile towards each other, but that's not the case for these two prides. In fact, long ago their ancestors were two males that were best friends and established prides with neighboring territories. For generations, the Prides grew close together like a family, always visiting each others territory, assiting each other in battles if needed. Everything was blissful and harmonious. One day, a lioness within the Manyeleti Pride grew bored and uncontent with the life she lived. That hunger for power drove her to do the unthinkable: stage a rebellion. In her spare time she tickled the ears of lionesses and gained their support to overthrow the current Hierarchy of the Pride. Then she moved to seduce the King away from his Queen, and successful she was. Soon she struck, her sister , the Queen being blindsided by this mutiny. The fight was long and vicious, and only three lionesses came to save the true Queen from more surious injuries. It was the middle of the night when the calls of distress came from the Ximhungwe Pride's borders. Taking in the four refugees of the mutiny, and defending against the bloodthirsty lions coming to kill the 'traitors'. The Queen of Ximhungwe was furious when she got the detailed report of what happened within the sister pride. She vowed to take back her friend's territory and judge those who were left within it. More border patrols were initiated, the borders were locked between the once close prides. It seems confontation is inevidble, and soon a declaration of War may be on the way. Who's side are you on? Or are you an innocent bystander? |

Roleplay Rules 1. All of Eve's Rules apply, obviously 2. Please be active, I don't want you to take a role and not be able to post. Please, if you're going to be gone for some reason , inform me otherwise you'll be removed from the roleplay. 3. Hate the character, not the player. No OOC drama but RP drama is very much welcomed as long as it's ran by me first. 4. Max of 5-6 characters. Make sure you're able to handle them. 5. This is a semi-literate RP. I expect at least a minimum of 200-250 words per post, per character. I understand writer's block, but we want this to be fun for everyone so please do your best to write. 6. Keep it realistic, we are keeping it realistic when it comes to hunts and fights. While the pecking order is fictional, we are going to keep it realistic as possible. So appearances and height/weight measurements should be accurate as possible. PLEASE do your research. Hide the word mouse in your form. 7. We can have orphaned cubs, but they will need a lioness or Lion to be their designated caregiver. 8.No OP Characters, God-Modding, and etc. Don't be that character that ignores the rules, if you have a character in a higher postion then fine, but no lioness can disrespect the Queen without getting away with it. 9. Reservations last for 48 hours. If you need more time you will be alotted 12 hours to finish your form. 10. You may have up to 2 powerful roles. If one of your characters in a powerful role dies then you'll be able to obtain another one. 11. Please be creative and unique in your character forms. I do not want to see you copying other people's work. Put a random fact about your character in other, state it plainly. Wouldn't it make you mad if your work was copied so why do it to someone else? 12. Pictures are acceptable, but please use proper crediting and useable photos and do not hot-link. Pride Roles Queen The highest rank a female can achieve in her lifetime. This is a role most coveted. She is the the supreme ruler and commander of the pride. Her word is law, and her punishments unquestionable. She is the female who decides who shall enter her pride, when the pride eats and rest, and when they need to move to another area of the territory or when to declare war. She is also ones who resolves issues in the pride and helps where she can. Respect is due this female. This position is earned by bloodline or it can be taken in a fight. A Queen's duel as they call it, when two lionesses of blood relation fight to see who will become the new ruler. However, it must be approved by 6 lionesses and the Second-In-Command female, otherwise it's an unfair duel and it's then referred to as a mutiny. Former Queen: The Queen of Manyeleti, she was subjected to a mutiny and is taking residence with the Ximhungwe Pride. Upmost respect is to be given to her but of course this is not her pride. King The highest rank a male can achieve in his lifetime. This role is more unstable than the Queen's. He helps the Queen lead the pride, and may offer helpful suggestions, yet he is not in charge of anything (unless he is a tyrannical being.) To keep his position he must keep his Queen and lionesses happy. If he is found to be incompetent then he can be removed from his position. He is mainly in the pride for protection. Second-In-Commands The second highest rank a male and female lion/lioness can achieve in their lifetime. This is usually a female-male pairing that have known each other for a long time, and it's quite common for them to be mates. The female Second is the right hand lady of the Queen, she directly reports to her. She also may lead hunts and scouting expeditions for the pride (of course she must have permission from the Queen.) The female also is well trusted by the Queen and pride. The male Second is the one who leads patrols with the Warriors and other lions within the pride. He is allowed to breed within the pride as well. His position is well respected, and can easily be removed if found incompetent. He may also be an Advisor to the Queen, and he knows the Queen better than the King sometimes. Warriors These are the only other two elite males in the pride. They are known for their strength and almost always have a connection to the King. They are higher ranked than the other males in the pride besides the King and Second Male. If in a battle situation they are the heavy hitters who defend the Royal Litter, and they can be almost said to be bodyguards for the Queen and Royal Litter. One may even train the Royal Sons. They have honorable positions that can easily be taken always so they should do everything they can to keep the pride safe Lionesses The bulk and heart of the pride. They have their own established hierarchy amongst themselves, but they all know the Queen and Deputy are above them. They are Hunters, Mothers, Scouts and everything in between for the Pride. These hardworking ladies are to be treated with respect and they should also respect their superiors. Lion The other males of the pride that patrol and keep the area safe for others. They also may occasionally join hunts if extra strength is needed. Juvies/Juveniles The youth and a little bit older kids of the pride. They are 1-2 years old, as when they are 3 they are full-fledged adults. They start learning how to hunt or if mature help in hunts. Cubs The youth and babies of the pride. They are to be taught the way of the pride and cared for by parents/guardian. They range between the age of newborns to 12 months old. Their only job is to learn and play. Royal Litter: The children of the Queen and whomever she decides to breed with. Whenever the Queen has a litter they are immediately regonized as a Royal Litter. The King's offspring with any other lioness does not count as a Royal Litter. To be considered Royal, then they just come from the Queen. If the Queen has a litter with another male besides the King then it could mean danger for the current King. The daughters of the Royal Litter are trained as future Queens and Deputy's while the sons are trained as future Warriors. The children have high expectations and must be treated with respect as they are possibly the future rulers. To kill a Royal Child is considered treason and the penalty will be death whether it was intentional or not. As they grow up, they will be supervised by the Royal Nanny, this is only for whenever the Queen is unavailable. Nomads Males (or females) who have been pushed away from their natal prides for various reasons. They are looking to start their own pride or for a home. Beauty belongs to Oshun and represents the human ability to create beauty for its own sake, to create beyond need. It is also said that she is the knitter of civilization, since great cities have been founded, for the most part, along rivers in order to supply water to their populations. She holds her head high and walks with long strides. Her eyes always seem to be roaming, watching, and calculating. She was raised by a lioness that was a Queen in her own right and who taught her to act like one. This lioness walks with the best posture she can muster and likes to make sure her head is high. It may be viewed as haughty or arrogant to do such a thing but no. She wants to make sure she looks her best. Even when she's beaten and worn down she'll muster the strength to hold her head up high and give a smartass smile. She may not have a literal crown but she acts as if she wears one. There is purpose in her step and she strides as if she owns the world. Nothing can bring her down. Neither insults nor physical pain. She'll just bear through it with a smile on her face or a look of ”did you really just go there?” This lioness is quite dominant in behavior and doesn't take to being told what to do well (albeit if you're the boss then she'll do it.) If and when she is ever in charge she expects you to do what she says in a timely and fashionable manner. If you don't do what she says or dare disobey her then this lioness will be quite upset. She can be angry with you and you don't even know it. Only those attentive can catch on to the slight angry twitch of her ear, tail, or eye. Not to mention her voice might raise just a slight octave and her words will convey her displeasure. To see a fire in her eyes or her tail flicking annoyed it means: This lioness is not happy. This female can be quite the character when it comes to her play on words. She is quite humorous at times, liking to crack a quick joke or two. However, these times she's not in the mood for games or jokes. She's grown more serious and sarcastic. She doesn't have a temper and has quite a bit of patience. However, that being said if you do push her more than you should then this lioness becomes quite angry. The mildest form of her anger will be shown in her behavior: from a small tap of her paw, swiveling of her ears and tail, or her slightly baring her fangs. When she is angry then she will spit insults at you ( if you prompt her to do so.). Her words will be venomous yet delivered in the sweetest tone she can bear. If she is truly enraged then you had better run because this will entail her attempting to bite, nip, or claw you. Basically, anything to inflict pain. This is only reserved if you dare to physically attack her or someone she cares for ( friends, family, or children.) This lioness views family and friends as important. Having good friends is one thing she treasures. She strives to be a good friend and be for them no matter what, and she would do everything in her power to make sure they're happy. When it comes to friends and family she may be a bit biased as she cares for them more deeply than others. They say blood is thicker than water, but if you're her true friend then you're basically family. She only puts up with the antics of those she is close to, but even then she'll call them out if they're being stupid or fake towards her. She doesn't like fake friends nor does she tolerate them. She will become more mischievous and bolder in her word choices if someone disrespects her around her friends. This female can take the heat and criticism. She's used to it: her bold and forward nature is sure to ruffle some feathers. She doesn't care if you insult her. Fine, she'll just bite your head off with an insult that'll put you in your place, but she'll deliver it in a calm manner with a venomous tone. No, one does not want to poke this bear, because when she is awake she goes all out on your ass. Now, if you insult her family? Ah, you'd better run for the hills darling. This lioness doesn't tolerate one insulting them, and she will physically put herself between you and them. Now if her sub-adult is being talked about, then they need to learn to have thick skin and she'll tell them to stick up for themselves, but if it's too much then she will come in. And you don't want this angry mama on your ass. However, if you're degrading her cub or the cub of someone close to her then this lioness is coming to you with a mother's fury. This lioness is extremely protective of her cubs especially her younger ones. She doesn't like any lion breathing in their vicinity unless they're the sire(or until she trusts and likes them.) This female also doesn't like any other lionesses trying to take the responsibility of lecturing or disciplining her children. She knows they may mean the best, but if they're not close to her then they can kindly fuck off. Only when she's dead and gone may another raise her children and even then she would have entrusted them to someone she views as worthy of raising them in her absence. This lioness is headstrong when it comes to the raising of her children. She doesn't give in to her children's pleas or demands. If they want to do something then they must ask in a mature and dignified manner and not beg. She does not beg others to do things and therefore her children must not beg or be beggars. She may give her children tough love, but it's only so they'll grow stronger and intelligent. She wants them to be better than her and avoid the mistakes she has made. Her love for her children is unconditional. Her children also know better than to disrespect her or undermine her authority over them even when they're grown she'll still give them a good swat to the face if they get smart with her. No one is worthy of her children, and she'll critically look at any lioness or lion that come near her offspring in a flirtatious manner. They better know to win the mother over before her child. Her children must refer to her as Mother, Mama, or anything honorific that signifies she's their dam. Only when they're seven may they have the privilege of a first name basis. She teaches her cubs how to use their brain, be wise, and how to never be run over. However, they know better than to disobey or misbehave around her. If she even sees/hears about her sub-adult child getting into a fight or bullying someone then they will be in big trouble and it's not just getting nipped trouble. They will get a bite to the arse, a long lecture, and she will confine them do the Pride and isolate them from their friends. And she will expect them to give a formal apology as well to the parents and sub-adult they were so disrespectful to. When it comes to parenthood this mother does not play and she only wants the best for her children. This female is an intelligent and cunning creature. She is a bit power hungry and wants to rise to the top. She is good at calculating how she can do this. Her ambitions are well-founded on the fact that she is sure she’d be a good leader. She knows how and when to protect those she loves, when to take their bullshit and when to listen. This female has a rational outlook. She likes being reasoned with logic and words not fighting. However, if when it comes to debates you won't want to argue with this lass. Due to her observant nature, she can and remember things said or done that can be used against you. She listens to both sides of a story and attempts to make the right logical decision. She's not perfect so she doesn't always get it right. If you don't like her opinion or decision well that's on you because you asked her and she gave you her honest opinion. Name: Taranaki Age: 5.5 Years Gender: Lion Pride: Manyeteli Rank: Lion, formerly a Warrior Desired Rank: He just wants his original Rank of Warrior back Appearance:  This male is quite handsome when it comes to appearance. He is a brute when it comes to size, he stands tall at four feet and five inches. He weighs in at 214 kilos (around 475lbs) so he is definitely nothing to scoff at when it comes to size. He bears a muscular frame with broad shoulders and large, powerful paws. When he walks there is an aura of power and regalness that surrounds him. His limbs help him propel himself with such grace and power. His body of a golden-brown complexion, with it, looking lighter in certain lighting. You can see scars and wounds on his body, so one can infer that he is well acquainted with fights. When this male fights he fights with all he has and even if he's bloodied, battered and bruised he'll still find a way to stand. He has a large and luscious mane. The mane of a lion is their crowning glory. His mane is long and thick, with a mostly raven complexion. They say males with dark manes are attractive and are said to be catnip to the ladies. Why? His darker and fuller mane indicates that he's a healthy lion with plenty of testosterone, and serves as a warning to rivals; he won't go down without a fight. Even the browns and blondes on his hair are shades of dark brown, akin to that coffee brown. And the blonde strands are like that of wheat, so a wheaten blonde intertwined with the richness of the darker hues of brown. This male prides himself in his mane and does his best to make sure it is well-kept. He absolutely hates it when leaves and twigs get tangled up in his locks. He may be considered vain for wanting to look his best, but he just want his ladies to have something to feast their eyes upon. After all it would be rude for them to have to look at an ugly male all the time. This male has striking olive hued optics. They always seem to be flickering with amusement or holding some mischief in them. His eyes are highly expressive and are windows into his soul. When he's angry his eyes are stormy and cold, and his glare is one that can send chills down a lions spine. You can tell that this male is angry from the chilling aura that will radiate off of him and from the occasional twitch of his tail. When he's happy or in a good mood, one can see the light and twinkle in his eyes or if they soften when deal in with cubs or ones he loves. He was born of a King and Queen, and as such he was taught how he should act. He was told by his father: Never lower yourself to someone that isn't worthy only true opponents gain your submission. This male has a sense of pride, but it's not overly inflated, but more of he knows who he is and that he isn't changing for anyone(unless he wants to. You can forget making him be another way.) He has the heart of a warrior and is protective of what belongs to him. He will fight with everything he has for his Pride, and he damn well won't give up on them so they better not give up on him. His love is something that is unconditional. He only will take a few ladies into his heart and once they're stuck their then he becomes possessive of his ladies. He has an undeniable amount of charisma and charm about him as his words just flow so smoothly and elegantly. However, he will have one he favors above the rest, and when it comes to her he's extremely jealous and won't tolerate any male making advances on her(or any of his ladies for that matter.) His favored lioness could set fires to the world, kill someone, be a tyrannical or cold-hearted person, but he'd still love her and be by her side. He’d do anything for her as she’d have him wrapped around her paws. If she asked him to kill someone for her. He would do it. She needs help hiding a body? He's her partner-in-crime. This male has an aura of power that surrounds him. His mere presence demands respect, if not for his size then from his glare if he finds something displeasing or if someone is in trouble. If he gives an order or command then he expects it to be done: simple as that. If it is not done on time or to the best of one’s ability then he will be disappointed, but to flat out disobey him? Ah. No, that is like a slap to his face and insubordination irks his nerves. He is fair and just when it comes to dealing with insubordination. He would never harm a lioness physical, but he would reprimand her with the sternness and firmness a father would. However, if a male is the one screwing up then he views it as a challenge to his leadership and authority. So he'll be harsher in his words and may isolate and ground the male until he learns how to show some respect. He doesn't dare interfere when the Queen gives punishments, but if he is feeling generous then he may try to sway her to deal out a lighter punishment. Her word is important to him, and she is his equal so to disrespect her is to disrespect him. This male is quite the mischievous lad. He loves messing around with his pridemates, but he can of course grow serious when needed. His pride is important to him, and he would gladly die for them. He wants what's best for them and he always has them in mind when he makes decisions. He makes it his goal to know the names of every member and to know them on a personal level. He wants to be involved in the pride life and so if he can he will assist on the hunt and he likes to wake up early to patrol the borders. He is a hardworking male who ensures the safety and happiness of those he loves and cares about. He is intelligent and quite enjoys being alone for a bit if he's thinking. He hates to be disturbed when he is thinking or planning something. He is quite cunning and deceptive as well, he knows how to achieve his goals whether by good means or bad ones as well. He isn't afraid to get a little blood on his paws, but he wouldn't risk the lives of others.  This lion is quote humorous and enjoys a good laugh. If you can make him laugh then you got a friend for life. Friendships and other relationships are also important to him. Friends are more like family, and it hurts him when he's betrayed. Now when it comes to other matters he can be hardened and stoic, but if a friend is found to have betrayed him? Then he'll go into a deep sadness. He will feel it's his fault or error on his part. However, it also reveals a side of him that's undesirable. He can be quite vindictive: if you betray him then you better be prepared to say goodnight. He will not rest until he gets an answer on why you did it, and if it isn't good then he well...will kill you. While he may have a loose set of morals at times: he doesn't like traitors. To be his friend one must be honest and truthful with him. He doesn't want someone to just tells him what he wants to hear. He wants the facts of something so he can do something about it. His greatest fear is to watch someone die and not be able to do something about it. This male has a determination that cannot be measured. When he sets his mind to do something then he will accomplish it. He is an encouraging individual who will stand by your side and give you the best advice. He hears both sides: good and evil. He knows both sides with intricate detail. If swayed he can reveal a darkness admits his light. If pushed to the brink he may do things he wouldn't do now. He wouldn't hesitate to conquer a pride to the advancement of his own, but he'd rather make an agreement or talk things out. However, if there is no choice then he will do what it takes to survive. He may be bullheaded at time because when he makes a decision he stands firm by it. He would never break a promise, and he'd die before he harmed those he loves. Taranaki can be sly and manipulate bastard when he wants to be. He knows just how to tug at those heartstrings. If it gets the job then, hey, it's an option. Now he'd never cross the line and kill a cub. Kidnap, yes. Murder, no. Even if he did ’kidnap’ someone he wouldn't be so cold-hearted and harm them. Ah, now when it comes to manipulation he doesn't like being manipulated (even though he does it at times. Again this a rare trait.) He doesn't like being used for personal gain as well as it is quite despicable. Taranaki also doesn't like those who abuse their power or try and kiss up to those in higher ranks. Night Male None Loner(if that's fine) He is a pitch black lion with green eyes. His left eye has a scar along it and has many different scars on his body. he weighs around 340 pounds and is 4 feet tall. He is very skinny and very tall. Each scar is around a couple of inches long and and inch wide. Each scar is from a different species. His ear is missing a chunk out of and one of his ground teeth are missing after a hard hit to the face with a paw when he was younger. His left paw is very scared and some are fairly new and it looks to be claws from himself. His claws are pure black as well. His fur has some sort patches of gray around his paws and face making him harder to see at night this giving him his name. - He is very shy and skittish. He will kill for food but nothing else. He is protective of cubs and other baby animals. He is usually seen with a female lioness from the another pride. (Pm me to be her) He can be very deadly when needed. He loves the idea to have cube and to start his own pride but knows he is weak so he couldn't protect them. He would kill any animal to get his own pride or his own cubs. He can be sneaky and funny when you get to know him. He also doesn't like hyenas or leopards because both are very annoying. - None yet - None yet - None - None yet - He hates every single mouse in the world. |
