Fallow Deer
Bio Order From Demon Mistress
A young wolf stood on top of the cliff, ever cautious, making sure to stand further back from the edge. He was a beautiful wolf, with a light deerish pattern that covered up his true coat. He stared over the woods, carefully surveying. He had been a lone wolf for the first three years of his life. He had no recollection of any parents, nor any childhood. All he knew was where he was going, the Wolf Party. If the legends were true, the party would be the perfect place to find a pack, the only thing he wanted in life. It had been a long journey through the woods, but he had to be getting close. He took one long last look at the landscape, then turned and jogged down the hill. The last wolf he had met was very unclear in his directions so the adventurer was somewhat wary as he followed the directions. But he didn't have much of a choice, he had to fufill his mission. He glanced up at the sun and identified the direction he needed to go, straight south. He pointed his face and ran. His strong legs propelled him speedily over the hard-packed ground. If he ran fast enough, he would make it to the Party before nightfall.
The Wolf Party wasn't much to look at, only a large clearing, filled with dozens of wolves, Some were from other packs, seeking to find worthy wolves, some were lone wolves like the adventurer, come from distant lands to seek a new pack. The deer-like wolf ran into the clearing and skidded to a stop, panting and out of breath. A small tan wolf immediatly approached him. "Greetings, traveler." the wolf said. "I am a representative from the pack of Demon Mistress. We would like to extend an invitation to our pack." The lone wolf breathed heavily. He was shocked, never in his wildest dreams had he imagined it would be this easy. He was still recovering his breath as he left the clearing with the wolf.
The pack of Demon Mistress lived not far from the clearing in a large system of caves. The new member was taken directly to the alpha's cavern where he bowed before the pair. The alpha male smiled graciously and nodded his head. "Welcome to my pack." he called in a booming voice that filled the cavern. "We shall call you Fallow Deer." These words filled the stranger with an odd thrill. He had never been called anything but loner, adventurer, or stranger. Fallow Deer stood confidently in front of his alpha, pride swelling in his chest.
Years past and Fallow Deer lived happily in his pack. He had many pups and slept soundly knowing his lines would be carried on. He had grown very close to his alpha and had become almost a son to the older wolf. Every morning, the pair went hunting together in the forest near their house, always dragging back at least one new boar for lunch. One memorable day, the pair left the caves as always, trotting north, towards the small lake. Fallow Deer froze as an odd smell wafted past his nose. He had only smelled that once before. He growled a quick warning to his alpha. "Bigfoot."
The monster was huge as it thundered towards the pair. They both snarled and lunged at the leg in front of them, but the beast was strong and simply threw them to the side. He swiped at them with a huge hand before thundering back where it came from. Fallow Deer gave a sigh of relief. He turned around but the relief turned to terror. His alpha, his best friend, lay inanimate on the ground, blood streaming from a huge scrape across his side. The alpha's long deer horns that he had always had had fallen, broken, next to him. Fallow Deer ran to his side and licked the limp wolf. There was no pulse. His alpha was dead.
He howled, his sorrowful cry reaching far. As he kneeled before the body, he felt a strange weight grow on his head. He raced to the pond to look at his face and saw large deer antlers protruding from his head, the same as his alphas. He turned back and the broken antlers were gone.

. Leah gazed loveingly down at her boyfriends face as he held up the glissening diamond ring. She could no longer restrain herself and threw her body desperately into his strong arms. "Oh Nick!" she squealed as he squeezed her tight. "Yes yes yes!"
April 24. That was the special day. It was cirled in rainbow on the calendar on their bedroom wall. Thirty more days until she would finally become Mrs. Russ. Nick worked late most nice, brushing it off as a "little bit of padding for our honeymoon." Leah worked from home, so she spent the days preparing the house for her fiance to return. He was always tired when he got home and normally went straight to bed.
Fourteen more days, Leah thought as she straightened the bedsheets. She invisioned their wedding as she lay on the empty bed. It wasn't going to be much, just some family and a priest, but that was all she had asked for. As she got up to dust off the dresser, she heard the door open and heavy boots on the stairs. She smiled and sat up. "Hello, honey!" she called out the door. Nick entered slowly, a frown on his normally happy face. He sat down next to Leah and took her hand in his.
The next words he spoke resonated deep in her soul. "I need
