"Do you see it?"

"See what?"

"Your potential."

"... no."

"Don't worry, you will soon."

----

The voice is still ringing in your head as the dream--or perhaps vision--fades. Your potential? For a demigod, that could mean.... a lot of different things of course.

However, waking up in the barest bones of a hotel room was probably not what you had in mind at first. The bubbling of a fountain and the chirp of birds breaks through the door. All is silent. Eerily silent.

You are here. But where is here? What else is waiting?

------

Characters will wake up in their respective hotel rooms and then it's up to y'all! Might want to move to the lounge area in the middle.

The hotel has rooms along the walls but the interior itself is open. There are in-ground hot tubs, lounge chairs, tables, flourishing plants and fountains that bubble along the middle of the long hotel, at the south end there is a pool. The north end is where the entrance seems to be.

But it's empty aside from the characters. Anyone can start, so go for it!

Ray (Rayanna) | F | M: none

With a gasp Rayanna bolts upright as she gains consciousness, the words from the dream echoing in her mind. She looks around frantically, trying to find something familiar in the room, but coming up with nothing and unable to recall how she had gotten there.

After taking some deep breaths and calming down, Ray quietly got out of the bed and inspected the room, poking around for some sort of clue to where she was or something to defend herself with if the need arose. When she didn’t find anything of use, she gave up and decided to try the door.

To her surprise the door was unlocked and opened smoothly with a twist of the knob. The door opened into a hallway, which Ray stepped into cautiously, glancing around with every step forward for signs of life.

“Hello?”

Stellan Westfield // M // 23 // Zeus // M: Open

The bubble of the fountains was the first noise that really broke through the dark fog of sleep. At least, he figured it was sleep. The thick blanket of darkness that had gripped his mind was close enough to sleep or maybe unconsciousness. It couldn't have been that bad, he didn't feel a headache lingering or anything of that sort. But he also didn't bother opening his eyes right away. He really didn't recognize the voice but telling him that he had some "potential?" Yeah right.

Potential to make a fool of himself maybe. But that was how it went.

Finally, his faded blue eyes drifted open. The white ceiling stared back, bleak and unmoving. A window let in some natural light, curtains hanging neatly beside the framed window. The white sheets were folded and tucked neatly under him. Surprisingly, Stellan really didn't feel that much panic--it was more of an exhausted... acceptance.

He sat up with a slow groan, a little sore and sporting a strange bruise along his right ankle, but nothing too odd. His gaze traveled around the room. The bed, a nightstand... a lamp... a dresser on the other side of the room, and then the door.

Stellan tilted his head for a moment before finally standing up, dusting himself off, and making his way toward the door. The door opened into the main foyer(finally remembered that word lol). Stellan looked toward his right, no other rooms, just a pool. The left? A long row of rooms.

The silence was almost eerie. White marble fountains bubbled like little stone springs. The water was clear and crystalline, filling the air with a fresh smell. But the air was still and warm. Not a hint of a breeze or anything.

Stellan finally lifted his chin, making his way from the doorway. "Hello?" He called out.

Pleione Aelia Amaral | Female | 18 | Hemera | Mentions: Open
.
Aelia awoke with a start. Her first thought was:
.
Where the hell am I?
.
She sat up abruptly and immediately regretted it; she held her hands to her head until her momentary dizziness had washed away. Then she raised her head back up and took in her surroundings. She appeared to be in... a hotel room? But that was ridiculous. Why would she be in a hotel room, of all places?
.
The sound of burbling water distracted her for a moment. Is that a fountain...? Hmm. I wonder if this hotel has a swimming pool... For a few moments, she was lost in an imaginary world where she could swim and dive and splash in a pool all day.
.
She shook her head. Such silly thoughts, she chided herself. She could still see the pool in her mind's eye, though. But first, she had to deal with her current situation.
.
Aelia drew her hand up and checked her ear, her throat. Oh, good. Her earring and necklace were still with her. Then she looked around again and panic began to truly set in. She was in an unfamiliar place, possibly completely by herself, and totally lost.
.
She's had the strangest dream, she recalled. Something about someone telling her about her... potential? Potential for what? Live all by her lonesome until her last breath in wherever this place was, perhaps? But Aelia didn't even know if this place was actually unoccupied. Maybe she should check.
.
Aelia glanced furtively around the room, which was lit by sunlight filtering in through the windows. It was rather... bright, and with a flick of her wrist, the light dialed down a bit until it was more comfortable to look at. For a moment, she considered trying to escape through the window- then decided not to. She stood up and walked over to the door, opened it, and stepped out into a hallway.
.
The sound of water grew louder. She peeked past a corner, wondering if something might randomly jump out at her- because you never knew what might happen, anything is possible!- and called out, "Hello?"

Lucius Zeller // 17 // Zephyrus // Male // Mentions: Rayanna, Others ind.

Lucius first listened to the sounds of the fountains bubble out in the main foyer. His eyes remained closed for the majority of a good solid ten or so minutes. That was until he heard voices. The first one sounded close to where he was.

"Hello?"

Lucius slowly opened his eyes, laying on his side. The awkward white wings splayed out on the bed behind him but stretched out and folded against his back as he finally sat up and rubbed his face.

A few more voices echoed out but they were too far away, too echoey to understand.

The young man slowly shuffled forward, sifting through the room and then to the door. He hesitated, a moment or two, before finally pushing through the door.

He spotted the young woman a little farther down, but only a few feet. Lucius couldn't say he recognized her either, but... at the same time, she looked as confused as he was.

"Hello?" Lucius echoed quietly. "Uh... you wouldn't happen to have any clue where we are, would you?"

Hadus| 18| Male| Hades| M:Stellan

He sat up in a oddly comfortable bed and shivered why was it cold in this room. Anyway he stood up grabbed his sweater wondering where he was and why he was here.

He heard some distant voices calling out and shut them off turning on a light and letting out a slight huff seeing that there wasn't much in there he though he could go exploring a little bit so he started to open his door when he heard a creak off something on the left of his door.

There must be other people in here I hope it's not just me he opens the door and steps out hissing at the lights and seeing someone close to his left." Hey. By any chance do you know where the heck we are?" He sighs and sits by his door seeing a few more people exit there rooms.

He recognizes one person in there." Hey I remember you. Your Zeus's kid. I'm Hadus. Hades kid." I grin and lean against the wall resting

Rayanna Green | F | 17 | Apollo | M: Lucius

Rayanna freezes as the door to a room next to the one she woke up in opens, a blond haired guy entering the hallway. He stood quite a bit taller than Ray and had a pale complexion, but what really surprised her were the boy’s wings, white and feathered like most people would picture an angel. She couldn’t help but stare at him for a moment in a mix of confusion and awe, trying to comprehend what the heck was going on and why someone would have wings.

After a second Ray snapped out of her confused state, shaking her head in an attempt to clear it, his words registering in her mind then. He had asked if she knew where they were, but she couldn’t tell him if she wanted to. Honestly, she should be scared by this fact and that she doesn’t know him, but instead she felt oddly calm, almost numb to the situation.

“No clue, I just woke up here,” She admits awkwardly, shrugging. “I’m going to guess you don’t know anything more than me at the moment?”

Irvin Connelay | M | 23 | Hermes | M: Others {ind.}

There were a thousand things for Irvin to consider both concerning and distinctly alarming at the moment. Things that plagued both his conscious and subconscious mind as he surveyed his environment. Most distinctly as his hazel eyes studied the foreign ceiling above him following his gaze having traveled the length of what appeared to have been a hotel room fit for the middle class. At best. Despite the disorientation that came with having no idea how he came to be here, the irritation that began to fester from the horribly constant sound of running water from beyond his space’s threshold, and the alarm he felt constrict his chest over the voice he had heard in a realm he typically had control over - none of these rather pressing issues amounted to the sole problem that bothered Irvin the most.

The sheets. Perhaps it was that he wouldn’t allow himself to be consumed by fear over what he clearly could not control at the moment, but the fabric of the sheets made his skin crawl with discomfort and it devoured his attention. It’s not silk, and he highly preferred silk. The brunet would tolerate satin material as a second resort, of course, but that was settling. Was this all cotton? What other material did basic people settle for their bedding to be made of? Allowing his fingers to flex over the material, it only solidified his distaste of this experience fit for people more, to be put kindly, economically challenged than he is.

Running a hand down the length of his face, Irvin came to the reluctant conclusion that remaining stationary in this bed and stewing was counterintuitive to establishing a solution to all of his problems versus just the sheet crisis. The brunet sat up and reminded himself that it wasn’t an entirely new feeling to wake up in beds and places that weren’t his own, however, those kinds of shameful mornings came with eventful nights before the fact. Irvin could recall rather vividly though that he had only just touched down in Paris and settled into one of his family's many vacation villas leading up to this moment. Unless he was still dreaming, or having some sort of psychotic episode for reasons he could not fathom, then there really was no good explanation for why he was in this room. And he did not want to think about the correlation of this event with the weighing dream anomaly he had just woken from.

An out-of-tune chorus of echoed various callings both meek and muffled to Irvin would have made his blood run a little colder if he allowed himself to submit to the kind of panic that opened the floodgates to feeling vulnerable. Without any context, he knew with confidence there were clearly other people here just as confused, and just as lost as he felt. Forcing himself to focus on the satisfaction that he was not having a psychotic breakdown, Irvin ran his fingers through his hair for a few passes. Enough to ensure he didn’t look disheveled. Strangely enough he he had noted as he stood that he was still wearing the same light blue button-down and black pressed slacks he had on before things got beyond his recollection’s reach. And shoes? Irvin may have been careless on multiple occasions of where he slept and with who, but never would he pass out on a bed with his shoes still on. The feeling was just gross to him. Nothing added up, and the more mental math he tried to sort out in his head to bring himself clarity over this entire matter, the more anxious it made him to be left with no concrete answers.

Being greeted by a second-story view upon venturing beyond his room’s door, Irvin’s attention naturally followed the noise that resonated through the establishment. The most prominent sound filling his ears was the constant flow of water, and as he descended the stairs to reach the first floor, his hazel gaze only tore apart his surroundings for an entity in a distinguishable uniform for this hotel. Usually, there was always a housekeeper stalking the halls in his experience, and yet aside from the figures he had already gauged, there was not a single employee of any kind in the vicinity. Irvin very well could have made nice with the others who looked semi-distraught from where he stood a short distance from the base of the stairs, but quite frankly he was not in a mood to be pleasant.

Rather he navigated himself toward what was obviously the hotel’s entrance, and its primary desk. “Unless you’re deaf, dead, or on strike, I demand to speak to someone who works here,” Irvin declared in an elevated tone while simultaneously, and rather aggressively, ringing the desk’s bell and looking around. A lengthy moment passed before Irvin ceased his assault on the bell, realizing that even if he did manage to speak with someone who worked here, would they really be someone who had any more answers than he did about how or why he was here? Verbally tearing someone apart would only redirect his frustration stemming from fear for so long anyway. With his elbows resting on the desk, and his head in his hands, Irvin deliberated on his most logical next step, which he was becoming increasingly more aware of it being to engage with seemingly the only other people here.

Hell, he decided. This just might be hell.

Dimitri Molotov Tree | He/Him | 20 | Demeter
M: Lucious (dir.) Irvin(ind.) Open

≪𖠰♡𖠰≫

Tree woke up quite groggy, hardly startled by the odd dream- well odder than usual. Problem for Future-Tree. He yawnee, stretched, and tried to get a bearing on his surroundings for a moment while blinking the sleep from his eyes. He ran a hand through his hair, grimacing slightly as the tangle it was in. Sweet- no biggie- he'd just have to brush that out. He started worming his way out of the bed, blankets a mess from tossing and turning no doubt. He reached his hand to where his nightstand was, and was met by solid air and promptly falling out of the bed instead with a stream of cursing not far behind. He looked over the bed, seeing his nightstand on the wrong side. Ok, cool, his nightstand moved overnight. No biggie.

≪𖠰♡𖠰≫

Something felt... off. He brushed his bangs out of his face again, actually taking in his surroundings this time. Ok wait. Not his nightstand. Not his bed, not his room, and most certainly probably nowhere near Haven, Virginia.
Well crap.

Seems Now-Tree had a serious problem. Possibly partial fault to the weird as hell dream. That was a first- the dream actually meaning something not the dream itself. He sat on the floor for a minute, trying to focus on what it had been about. He just knew it left him mildly unsettled? What woke him up? It wasn't like her heard a noise or smelled breakfast- was it time for breakfast? Maybe he sleep entirely through the day and that's why he was up now. Wouldn't be the first time he wrecked his circadium rhythm. Actually this may have been the best sleep he's had in a while. Felt like a full 8 hours even.
Focus.
≪𖠰♡𖠰≫
Right. He had to figure out where he was. And why. Maybe the why first?
He stood up slowly, rubbing his lower back from the tumble. He's had worse. He had to blink again, stifling a yawn. Soon enough he heard other voices though. So he wasn't alone. Cool, good to know. Probably should go talk to them. He doubted he had any other clothes to change into... but he checked the wardrobe anyway. And then the nightstand. And then under the bed. Damn. Not even one of those default bedside table bibles nobody reads or a card about how to sign into the wi-fi or order room service?? Well wait why was he assuming it was a hotel? Maybe it was somebodies house- actually no that seemed way creepier.
A door opened.
Stoo that- no he had to actually get out of the room and then ask questions.
≪𖠰♡𖠰≫

He stepped out of the room, already twisting the braided bracelet on his wrist as he caught sight of some other guy leave his room too. Ok. Follow him. Downstairs, into where everyone else was, ask why they're there. It seemed like a great plan, but there was an incessant bell noise. Ding ding ding- oh it was the other room guy. Thankfully he stopped and Tree could get a tackle on his goals- he made his way to where he had seen the others go. A foyer of some sorts. And then he saw them.

"Holy hells- woah dude you have wings??" Definitely too loud, definitely looked a fool because he had ceased fidgeting with his bracelet and made a point to... we'll point at wing boy slackjawed. He quickly regained his composure, or some of it, still very obviously staring although he was sure people were staring right back at him after that entrance. Dang it man.

Lucius Zeller // 17 // M // Zephyrus // M: Tree, Rayanna

The look was the first thing he really noticed about the young woman. It was the same look that seemed to follow him around like a ghost. The haunting look of awe that crossed every single face, the open jawed look, the surprise in their eyes. No matter what or where or who it was. It was always the same.

Never on his face, or his hair, or his entire self. Always behind him at the white wings that clung to his back. They were, in a sense, freeing. But at the same time--like now? Horribly confining. At least she saved herself by commenting about where they were rather than what he was. She answered his question, noting that he probably hadn't much more of a clue than she did. To which she was right.

But his answer was drowned out by the exclamation that he had been dreading the entire time. 'You have wings??' The exclamation echoed slightly in the silence of the foyer and Lucius took in a steadying breath before turning around to look back at the newcomer.

"I have wings," Lucius finally answered. "Got them from my parent," his voice was quiet, tired and maybe a little bit shy. His eyes met briefly with the other's before lowering to the ground again. "... you don't have a clue where we are, do you? We... don't," he gestured back at Rayanna and then to himself.
