Plot
In the city of New York, the mafia has never really gone away, they’ve just gotten better at wearing suits that don’t get blood on them. Two families have ruled the underground for years: The Morellis, cold and calculated with every move pre-written like a chess match, and The Venturis, chaotic good (if good meant 'good at staying alive by sheer luck and intimidation'). But power makes people stupid. Both families got too comfortable, too greedy, and too visible, so now the cops are watching, breathing down their necks. To avoid a full-blown takedown, the families have agreed to the unthinkable: a truce. For now, they’re 'friends', sharing territory, showing up at public events together, even smiling through their teeth. Everyone knows it’s fake. Everyone’s just waiting for someone to slip.
Behind the scenes? It’s war with a mask on. Members from both sides are busy playing detective, digging for secrets, striking backdoor deals, and stabbing each other metaphorically (and sometimes literally). The bosses are the centerpieces of it all, expected to keep everything civil while secretly planning the perfect moment to crush the other. Loyalty’s a fragile thing when ambition’s involved, and betrayal’s basically part of the job description. The Morellis play long games, masters of quiet threats and blackmail that make enemies destroy themselves. The Venturis? They go in loud, fast, and unhinged, like luck is a weapon they can actually aim. And somehow, it works. From the outside, the families look like an unstoppable empire. But inside? It’s a ticking time bomb. No one's safe, nothing's stable, and if you're not climbing, you’re already dead weight.

As if mafia life wasn’t already messy, toss in werewolves and now you’ve really got something worth bleeding over. The Venturi and Morelli families have always hated each other, but what no one outside the inner circles really knows is that it all started with one wolf stepping onto the wrong turf. The story’s been twisted so many times that each side blames the other, but one thing’s clear: this war has fur. Most members are wolves, shapeshifters buried beneath sharp suits and bloodstained smiles, though only two humans per family are allowed, and while the wolves might see them as weaker, the bosses know better. Those humans are a cheat code into the human world, a secret only the bosses truly understand, and protecting them is non-negotiable. Shapeshifting varies: some wolves can only turn during full moons, others can shift on command, but emotions are tricky things, and if you’re not careful, you’ll find yourself mid-transformation during a business meeting. The Morelli boss? Can shift on command, but keeps their emotions locked down like a vault to avoid slipping up. After all, appearances are everything... and no one likes a messy wolf in public.
“Peace was never part of the plan.”
