Some people retire wolves for the bone fragments/so they can buy something from Bidoo, some do it because they get the quest that tells 'em to retire wolves.

I honestly don't really mind, especially if they pay mush for the pup. It'd be different if say- someone retired a custom I gifted them or a really nice pup I gifted them though
