Matt walks through the forest, leaves crunching slightly under his paw pads. He stays near the cliff, following his battered path. His wings spread out slightly.

Death. The thing that loomed so closely, the pack wolves were closing in on her fast. Each step backwards sending pebbles down the long drop. "Dont do this!" Stella yelped, just as the alpha lurched forward and sent the loner backwards off the cliff. Shrill cries of terror followed as the female thrashed in the air.

Above Matt spots a wolf falling. He sprints ahead and takes off gliding quickly beside the cliffside. Every beat of his wings he hit the cliffside. Blood and fur and flesh flew behind him. Now directly beside the falling wolfs path he steels himself as best as he could. When the female was near he bit out, and caught the wolf by their scruff. Struggling he gently glided down to safety where he put the wolf down. Matt collapes beside a large oak tree panting slightly.

Stella was in shock. She was trembling, and as soon as she felt ground curled up. What had happened? Why is she alive? Stella was gasping for breath. She was afraid.

Matt starts licking his wounds, trembling in pain, every once in a while he would watch the strange wolf he had just saved.

Stella soon recovered from her fear. She saw the winged wolf and stared in awe- something the canine had never seen before. Noticing they were also injured, did he save her? What had happened? Stella got up with shaky legs, walking toward the other wolf in the ravine. "Are- you okay?'
