I think you're onto something, perhaps it has to do with our device's adaptability to either a mobile or laptop configuration

Ah, well then I'm all out of ideas lol, but that's a neat laptop you have! Mine would just snap if I tried to fold it the other way lmao

I like the idea of the update. Just the switching to mobile layout if I have the WP tab on half of my screen is difficult due to the tabs overflowing the top bar and the chat not being visible.
Overall, I think after the tweaks have been made I think it will be beneficial to new players that use mobile. We're just very used to this layout. I hate change too </3

Mine is not a chromebook, however it can be bent in half and turned into a tablet. Though it's very thick lol

Thank you Eve for your hard work! Yeah on my laptop it shows a change in format on the pages that are supposed to be formatted in mobile. As for the chat, I would suggest that if it's taking up the whole screen it should make the greatest use of the screen instead of a large white border. So like a magnified version of the chat itself. Or maybe the white area could be customizable to palettes

@EnigmannIf you're using a chromebook (ChromeOS) then maybe that's why? My laptop is a ChromeOS and there are a lot of things that show differently compared to a regular laptop when on websites or apps

Exp A quickly got a hold of a clean towel when she noticed the human had exposed his wound. There was far more blood now than when she first saw the leg inside of the bear trap.

As she slowly approached him, she held out her claws. Like Exp A was asking permission from a dog to pet it, she placed the back of her claws just by the knee of the injured leg. After a few seconds, she moved that hand to just gently hold the leg up by the calf. She made sure the human was comfortable with this before proceeding to clean the cuts.

Death and blood was nothing new to Exp A, but for some reason, the sight and scent of this human's blood was causing a sickening feeling in the pit of her stomach. Why? The walls is still coated with the blood of the White Coats. They don't seem to bother her. So why is this human's any different? Why the sudden change? Her thoughts were soon interrupted when the sudden words of the human filled the room. She was surprised to see him having enough strength to speak through all the pain. Her large, inked, eyes connected to the human's as her head tilted one way.

[What am I? Where I'm from? Well..] Her pointer claw had touched down close to her mouth region. [To be completely honest, I have no idea what I am. The White Coats never really explained-] The thoughts had quickly stopped when the realization hit Exp A. [Oh my. Here I am trying to talk to you and you have no idea what I'm saying. I'm sorry. Let's see..] The blue glow stick scooped up a bit of fresh blood from the wound with one of her claws. On the wall closest to them, she started to write. Not the cleanest of ideas, but it'll have to do.

-What am I? I don't know. I was born here?-

The question mark was a last minute choice by the creature. This place is all she could remember. She could've been born elsewhere then brought here and she'll have no memories of it. Although she feels it's not true, it is a reasonable possibility. Exp A went over her words one more time before turning her focus back to the cabinets. It's been a while since she's written in the human language. She's also unsure of what most words mean. Even if she could spell them. She just hopes the human is able to understand what she wrote. Her handwritting is a bit sloppy.

Rummaging through the supplies, she came across some bandage. The word for this strange water that gives off a strong, horendous smell isn't coming to mind, but she does know it's something she needs. She isn't sure how or why this strange water works on wounds when it makes it hurt more. But hey, if it works it works. Hoping doing this won't cause any distrust between them, Exp A proceeded with caution. Wondering if he'd rather do it himself, she showed the items to the human.

Levi instinctively tried to jerk away from the creatures touch, but the movement sent fresh waves of agony up his leg. He submitted to the creatures administrations, wincing as it lifted his leg off the table and began cleaning it thoroughly. After a while, the creature moved away and began writing something on the wall. With my blood, Levi realized. To his utter shock and amazement, it was in English! He squinted, trying to read the words in the minimal light. "You understand me?" he asked the creature. This was getting stranger and stranger...
Levi read the message once more as the creature procured bandages and alcohol. Maybe this was a hospital or something, he thought. He glanced at the creature as it approached, holding the items out to him. Levi leaned forward, gritting his teeth as he jostled his leg. He accepted the items and leaned back. "Thank you," he said. He took the cap off the alcohol container, took a deep breath, and poured some into his wound. This time, he couldn't stop himself from crying out, and he clenched his fists, trying to manage the pain. "One more time," he muttered to himself, dropping a little more into the cuts. Again, a burning sensation surged through his leg, and Levi closed his eyes for a moment before laying back on the table.
Levi laid there breathing heavily for a moment before sitting back up. He took the bandages and began wrapping them tightly around his injury, covering the cuts in several layers of bandages. Once he was done, he moved his leg a little to test mobility, then carefully tried to get to his feet. he put a little weight on his leg and nearly fell over, but managed to catch himself on the edge of the table. "Son of a- " he muttered, pulling himself back up. He glanced over at the creature. "Guess I'm stuck here, unless you want to carry me back to my base."

(Not me suddenly popping up out of nowhere. Life is crazy right now. Sorry for this months long wait ;-;)

With a simple nod, Exp A accepted the White Coats thanks and stepped back once more. She began to fidget with her claws as her eyes stayed focus on the White Coat's hand movement with the bottle. Guess her instinct to be worried was valid when the White Coat suddenly let out a cry. Her claws reached outwards to help, but she just as quickly retracted them to her side. Any sudden movements may cause him to harm himself even more. She'll just have to trust that he can do just fine without her. Exp A was finally able to breathe properly once the White Coat had settled down on the table.

As he took a moment to catch a break, Exp A collected all the items besides the bandage. As she did her best to remember where she got everything, the White Coat was wrapping the bandage around his wound. Her mind started to wonder once the last item has been placed on the shelf.

[It's been a while since B had lured away the strange acting White Coats. Maybe I should head out to try and find her. But what about him? Will he be alright if I leave him alone? Would leaving him in the dark be a bad idea? The White Coats before always had bright lights in every room they were in. Were they afraid of the dark? Or maybe they can't see like I do? Maybe I should see if there's any li-]

A's thoughts were cut off when she saw the White Coat trying to stand on both at the corner of her eye. Time seemed to have slowed as he was falling over from the table. Thinking the worst, A jumped toward him in hopes to catch him. Not realizing he had already caught himself on the ledge, she used her body to keep him upright as she held him close to her chest.

[You White Coats are a little more fragile than I thought.]

She chuckled to herself as, of course, he wasn't able to hear her statement. Carefully, she helped him get back on the table. Her claws scanned the bandaged wound to see if the sudden fall did anything to it. Seeing nothing out of the ordinary, Exp A stood straight in front of the White Coat with her hands on her hips. A little something she picked up in the past when she noticed the White Coats would do the same when they were proud of what they saw. Her eyes met with his has her head slightly one side.

[Base? Never heard that word before. His base... is it like a home? Or maybe a type of building of his home. Like a house! I wonder what it looks like. I've seen a picture of a house before, but never a base.]

She was going to ask about the base, but she realized she can't write in blood anymore. Walking over to her first message, she tried to scrape off some blood from there to reuse. Flakes fell to the floor once her claws barely touched it. Exp A just stood there as she had no idea how she's was going to communicate with him now. Her tail curled at her side as she tried to think of a new plan. Suddenly, a thought came into her head. She can use her own blood! Excitedly, Exp A had created a small cut on her forearm on her left arm.

-Base?-

Guess the writing looks a little more scarier, with her blood being black in color, when she stood back and compared to her previous note. Hopefully he won't suddenly collapse, or what they call "fainting", once he realizes the differences. Once again, the creature stood patiently right beside her work and awaited the White Coat's answer. Her head went back and forth between him and her writing to see if she was close enough for her glow to make her writing visible. Although, it was hard to tell with the way her little lights are.

(You're all good!)

Levi gave a startled jump as the creature rushed toward him, and, thinking that it was attacking him, he gave a shout and raised his hands to defend himself. His fear was suddenly dispelled when he realized that the creature was just trying to help, steadying him after he had almost fallen. "Um, thanks," he said as the creature helped him back onto the table.

Levi nervously twitched his leg as the creature inspected his bandages, but he didn't move any more than that. He didn't say a word as it stood straight, its hands on its hips. Levi gave the creature a curious look. The gesture struck him as startlingly human, not something he'd have expected to see on this strange... whatever it was. It didn't seem to know what it was either. The message it had written on the wall made that quite clear. Levi read the bloody scrawl once more, scanning it as though looking for clues in the message.

His attention shifted back to the creature as it moved back to the message and began scraping at it. Puzzled, Levi watched as the creature stopped and stood there. Levi stared for a moment, then winced and looked down at his leg as his wound throbbed. This wasn't the first serious injury he had gotten in the last six years, but it was by far the worst. Levi checked the bandages to make sure they were good and tight, then looked back up at the creature. To his surprise, it had written something else on the wall next to the first message.

The first thing Levi noticed about it was that it seemed darker than the first message. It was hard to see, but it didn't have the same red tint that the first message had. 'That's not my blood,' he realized. He looked over at the creature and noticed a small cut on its arm that hadn't been there before, and understanding dawned on him. The thing had used its own blood to write this message. Levi leaned forward, squinting to try and read in the dim light emitting from the creature. "Base," he muttered.

Levi studied the creature curiously. "That's where I came from," he explained. "Where I live. It's..." Levi trailed off, unable to recall where it was. He had been unconscious while this creature had taken him here, and he had no idea which direction they had come from or how far they had traveled. Levi sighed and rubbed his eyes with his hands. 'I guess I'll worry about that later,' he thought. He didn't particularly care much for the company of his group of survivors; he only stuck with them because they had been competent enough not to get themselves killed... yet.

After a moment, Levi lifted his head from his hands and met the creature's gaze. Maybe it could help with his predicament. "Do you you think you could take me back to where you found me?" he asked. If it could, then he was sure he could find his way back to his group without much trouble. There were the undead, of course, but the smell of the alcohol he had poured in his wounds would drown out the smell of the blood.

[Oh! So it is like a home! I'll have to remember that.]

Exp A was pretty ecstatic to have guess correctly at the word. She'll have to tell B when she gets home. The White Coat brought back her attention to him when she heard his sigh. Him rubbing his eyes made her curious.

[Is he tired? I'm not really sure the noise he made was a yawn. But it is pretty late out, so it would make sense. Now that I think about it, where is he going to sleep? I don't think he'll want to share my sister and I's bed. I should probably ask if he likes to sleep here.]

Exp A had scooped up more of her blood from her, still. open wound to write again. That is if she wasn't interrupted by a noise. With her fight instinct kicking in, she quickly placed herself in front of the White Coat and lowered herself to ground; Ready to pounce on whatever was going to come through that door. As a response to being threatened, Exp A's mouth began to show as the skin around it tore away to reveal long and sharp teeth. Pretty much a scarier version of an Angler fish's teeth. As her tail was held very still to the ground, a sort of deep growl formed in her throat. To avoid being an easy target, her light automatically went out. Each little light went out one by one. With her vision, she has no need for any source of light.

Exp A grew more tense by the second. Until a quick shadow leaped through the doorway. Without hesitation, she lunged towards the dark figure. A tussle can be heard in the darkness. Growls and snarls with a mixture of materials being thrown about made it sound like a mini war was happening within the room. Just as Exp A dug into, what felt like, an arm, a loud screech came from the attack. A too familiar screech. Frantic clicking soon followed right after.

[What the hell?! Arya! I SWEAR to the heavens above that if you I spend a WEEK healing from that, I'll decorate this room with your intestines!!]

Whoops.

Arya's already large black eyes grew even larger when she realized who she just bit into. Retracting her teeth, Arya started to glow again. Her monstrous mouth started to hide away as the skin around it stitched itself together.

[Elyse! You're OK!]

Arya's tail wagged excitedly like a dog's as she held Elyse in a death grip hug. Elyse rolled her eyes as she practically went limb as it was no use fighting the hug. It took Arya a few seconds to let her sister go and help her up.

[It looks like I didn't bite too hard, so you shouldn't spend too long healing. I'd say a day or so.]

The goofy creature gave her sister an invisible grin. Elyse looked like she's about ready to tear her into two. The black and white twin just shook her head as she took back her arm to inspect her wound. It was then she noticed someone else was in the room with them. Before she did anything, Arya stood by the White Coat.
[Hope you didn't mind me bringing him here! His injury looked pretty bad, so I figured I could treat it here! I also need help figuring out where to put his bed. At least for tonight.]
Elyse looked like she was about ready to exploded upon hearing the news.

Levi watched the creature smear more of it's own blood onto one of it's claw-like fingers, then heard the sound as well and looked around sharply, tensing up. The creature's reaction to the sound only increased his anxiety, and he watched it closely. His eyes widened as a mouth seemed to tear itself into it's face, revealing wicked-sharp teeth.

Then the room was plunged into darkness as the creatures lights went out. Levi grasped for his knife, only to remember that he had dropped it earlier. He scrambled about to find something he could use as a weapon, but there was nothing within reach, so he just sat on the table, his hands raised in front of him.

A sudden scuffle sounded out from where Levi thought the doorway was, and Levi tried to get to his feet, only to fall back on the table with a grunt of pain. He wished desperately for a weapon; a gun, his knife, anything but his bare hands. It didn't sound like the creature was fighting one of the undead, but it was definitely something equally-if not more-dangerous than the undead.

Suddenly, the sounds of the fight stopped, replaced by a strange clicking noise that sounded familiar. Then the creature's lights returned, revealing the other creature Levi had seen outside before he had been rescued. The second creature was hurt, but it didn't seem to bothered by the injury. Levi, despite his fears, felt curious as to why the first creature had been defending him.

When the first creature came over and stood by him, Levi flinched away, remembering the terrifying teeth, but they were now inexplicably gone. From the clicking sounds the two creatures were making, Levi assumed that they were communicating with each other, but he had no clue what they were saying. The second creature looked more agitated than the first, almost as if it were displeased with something.

Levi watched the second creature closely for a moment, then hesitantly lifted a hand in greeting. "Hi," he said cautiously. He fell silent, looking up at the first creature, who appeared much more at ease than both the second creature and himself. Levi assumed that the second creature was just being territorial, something that Levi understood well, so he said, "I didn't come here on purpose. And I don't want to stay long. I just need some help getting back to where you found me."
