Characters: Aries and Garvin.
Context: Just some AFCS Garvin and Aries being besties. You know, going through their individual struggles, first impressions of each other, etc, etc. Real simple stuff, mhm. Uhhh… The parts that aren’t in this could probably be seen as, uh, foreshadowing.

*Aries first, wooo! His struggles, his first impression of Garvin, etc, etc… All the fun stuff. You know. Just him slowly becoming besties with Garvin from his POV.*
Aries, referring to, you know, his own struggles in the arena, really just referring to the arena in general too; “Trouble– Blood is in the rocky waters… Hide away your sons and daughters… Eat you alive…”
Aries, referring to Garvin’s struggles/past struggles; “Levels– Better put your head on swivels. Dancing with the very devil, butter to knife..”
Aries, kind of his first impression of Garvin, like most people, is that he’s incredibly confident; “You think you’re better than them?”
Aries, during a conversation with Garvin that’ll most likely happen in the Run Clio Run Arc, referring to the sketchy gang/mafia, especially Fintan, because he’s rather quick to catch onto certain things; “You think they're really your friends?”
Garvin, during that same conversation; “Well, when it comes to the end… I’m just the same as them.”
Aries, during that same conversation, just very disbelieving of that idea; “Same as them?”
Garvin, a different conversation with Aries; “So let it go, let it go… That's the way that it goes— First you're in, then you're out. Everybody knows.”
Aries, referring to how Aries notices little discrepancies in Garvin rather quickly, the way Aries’ understanding/impression of Garvin changes, and just how much Aries is able to piece together about Garvin’s struggles on his own; “You're hot, then you're cold, you're a light in the dark… But just you wait and you'll see that you're swimming with sharks…”
*Now it’s Garvin’s turn! Really, it basically follows Aries’ but from Garvin’s POV instead.*
Garvin, referring to his own struggles/past struggles; “Bubbles– Drowning— You're seeing doubles… Don't you let 'em see your struggles, hiding your tears…”
Garvin, referring to Aries’ struggles/past struggles; “Crisis– Take advantage of your niceness, cut you up in even slices, prey on your fears.”
Garvin, basically just how he tries to present himself; “I know I’m better than them!”
Garvin, and how it isn’t truly how he sees himself whatsoever; “Better than them…”
Aries, during a conversation that most likely takes place in the Run Clio Run Arc; “You think they're really your friends?”
Garvin, during that same conversation, he’s totally missing what Aries is actually trying to ask/bring to light; “Well, when it comes to the end… I’m just the same as them.”
Aries, during that same conversation; “Same as them?”
Garvin, during a different conversation with Aries, referring to Aries’ struggles, the arena, the way Aries is so incredibly uptight (conditioned), and just trying to offer advice in a sort of ‘there’s no winning’ kind of way; “So let it go, let it go… That's the way that it goes— First you're in, then you're out… Everybody knows…”
Aries, during a different conversation with Garvin; “You're hot, then you're cold, you're a light in the dark… But just you wait and you'll see that you're swimming with sharks.”
*We’re in the Cliffhanger Arc now, haha. Aries vs Simon happens here. Garvin vs Irfam happens here.*
Aries, not really wanting to fight Simon but not willing to stand by and let him win; “Every time my heart is beating, I can feel the recipe. I wonder if my day is coming, blame it on the entropy…”
Aries, especially not willing to let Simon win as Clio gives away where she is through the use of a flare gun; “My blood is pumping, I can see the end is right in front of me… Don't take it from me— This could be everything— Everything—”
Garvin, also seeing the flare, already injured, but also capable of actually getting to Clio, so he does; “Don't take it from me… My blood is pumping…”
Garvin, turns out Irfam had been up on that rooftop too, so Garvin gets Clio off the roof, Irfam follows, and thus Garvin vs Irfam happens; “My blood is pumping… Don't take it from me, this could be everything, everything—”
*Healing arc woooo! The two just being besties, mhm, mhm.*
Garvin and Aries, just reminiscing together, you know, as one does; “So let it go, let it go…That's the way that it goes— First you're in, then you're out. Everybody knows. You're hot, then you're cold, you're a light in the dark… But just you wait and you'll see that you're swimming with sharks.”
