Hunters are specially trained at the age of eight once they get approved after health examinations. They're trained to become stoic, able to adapt to any environment, learnt expert-level survival skills, and masters in a variety of weapons.

Prey are humans that are too weak, broke a major law, showed pity to Prey, or randomly picked by a machine of sorts. Banished from civilization and have to learn basic survival skills (unless they're ex-hunters). They have to defend themselves and fight against hunters as well as wildlife around them. Having to scavenge around and search for parts to make traps, weapons, etc.
