Aspen is dark grey and a sort of red and brown colour all over. His coat is as dark as the late dawn that comes with the wintertime and his amber eyes have a certain shine to them in the daylight. Being dark in colour gives him a great advantage at night, him therefore much proffering that time to hunt. His sense of hearing and smell make up for her eyes in the dark, however, and he has become an avid tracker using his strengths. His fur has a little bit of pattern, his lower legs only. He has a lighter underbelly, a typical colouring for wolves. Apart from that it is pure grey in colour, dark enough to not be recognized by prey. His pads and nose are black and speckled dark grey and brown. His tail is of an average length, but it is quite fluffy and furry. He is of an above average male height for his breed, about 31 inches, slightly larger than some. His length was slightly over average, just 4.5 feet, but he uses his quite large mass well in races. His weight is around 90 pounds, so he is much larger than some of the dogs in the team. Personality: Aspen is a very intelligent and worthy dog. He is eager to prove and impress, and regularly does so. He enjoys the company of his teamates and is definitely an extrovert. He is calm and easy-going, willing and content, not afraid to try new things, and has great respect for his Lead Dogs. He loves pups and wants a mate; he hopes that he will one day be the father of a new generation of the Team. He is quite a fit dog, his build, despite being large, actually is very well created for stamina, at reasonably high speeds. He definitely prefers stamina races to fast and short ones. His prime sense is definitely his eyes. His eyesight in itself is sometimes all he needs to pull the sled. But of course, he has trained his other senses to help him become quicker and recognise the terrain easier. Another thing that he really enjoys is swimming, nothing to him is better after a hard day of training and racing than a quick dip in the stream nearby. If it's not frozen that is. He finds that it cools his mind as well as his body, and definitely calms his mood. He is quite the flirt, and ever the gentleman. He likes hanging out with the females in the team. His relationship status is still a single pringle, but he has hopes that he will find a mate sometime in the very near future. . Name: Kian Age: 8 Gender: Male Original Team: Team 2/Red Role: Team Breed: Chinook X Greenland Dog Appearance: His base coat is a cream and it covers his legs, belly, hips and bottom. The fur tips are white and the underside of his bushy tail that curls over his back. The tips of his back fur is a dark grey mottled with black like a granite. It is thick, but it isn’t too thick so that you can’t see the cream underneath it. This thin blanket of dyed tips covers his furry chest, neck, back of head, sides and the top of his tail. His dark brown eyes are an almond shape. Around them are darker markings that outline his eyes. His snout is broad and thick with a dark grey fuzz coating the bottom area of his jaws. It fades as it climbs upward so that the top of his muzzle is creamy-white. His cheeks are whiter and so are the markings above his eyes. His ears are crooked so that they have the base of a pointed eared dog but then the top half flops over. His nose is a solid black. He stands a solid two feet and three inches to the withers and weighs a hefty eighty pounds. His fur texture is fluffy and thick with a water resistant over coat. He has a lean, fit body and the only amount of fat on him is considered healthy. This is due to living a harsh on-the-road life where food is scarcer and colder. Personality: He is a friendly male who likes to watch others, especially the younger ones. He often likes to get into the fun as he’s also playful. He has an outgoing personality with both people and dogs, but mainly people. He’s been with Aiden from the start of his career and they’ve formed a certain bond. He’s sure that he’ll one day be brought to his house and be his pet, or at least the companion to a close friend or relative. He’s protective over his human and won’t leave him even under a dire circumstance; loyal to the end. But he has learned the rule of first come first serve. The mush dogs can be vicious and ruthless so he’s learned to hold his own. He’s learned to eat quickly and run immediately when the dinner bell is rung because rarely are there any leftovers. He will fight and even kill over food, despite that he doesn’t like it. He knows his size and weight and he knows what he is capable of. He is alert and fairly observant to his surroundings. He uses his nose a lot and uses his imagination to what it is. It’s easier than turning this way and that way trying to find where a squirrel is. He’s also fairly intelligent and is a quick learner. Mixing a calm Chinook and an energetic Greenland Dog is an interesting mix. Kian inherited his slightly hyper trait from the latter. He will bark and jump when excited and before a run. He likes being in the harness and the weight of the sled is a comfort and a friend. Occasionally he might let out a short howl while pulling and then his pink tongue will resume to loll out of his mouth. He enjoys his job, no doubt, but he’s looking forward to when he can sit at his human’s hearth inside a cosy room where there is no need to fight over food, no exhausted muscles and no danger of wildlife—just him and his human. Crush: None Mate: None Pups: He’s played around when he was younger so he could potentially have some. He does not know of any. Affiliations: TBD Other: Togo. Togo ran about 261 miles during the serum run and was 12 years old. The reason why Balto is famous is because he was the lead dog on the last stretch which was 55 miles. This was not a rant. I just felt bad that dog who did most of the work hadn't been mentioned yet. --- He'll most likely be retiring next year |
