All of them glared but dare not ask since father just walked in. He would say something if the male wasn’t supposed to be there. One of them next to me finally said something
“Hello Big sis, I haven’t seen you all day What have you been up to.” Then the second oldest of my brothers walked in and lay in his spot next to me.
“There was an incident today with a lone male entering the territory and trying to get courting rights with Frosty,” all of the ones paying attention looked at him “This male next to her now was the one that the lone male fought, he fought well considering I’ve never seen him before,” He said almost growling, he clearly didn’t trust Sawa that much but I just smacked him on the head with my tail.
“Be nice, and where are your manners, if it wasn’t for him I probably wouldn’t be here right now. By the time you guys got there, I would have been knocked out and gone.” I said looking at him and scolding him as he rubbed the back of the head with his wing with his head down.
“Sorry, sometimes I forget not only are you the oldest, and also our mother figure, but have higher colony status.”

I tryed not to laugh at it as I found it funny but I yawned and covered myself with my wing and rested but was still somehow alert

I curled up with my head underneath my wing, I was out like a flame in water. I was comforted by the fact I was surrounded by my brothers who would return the favor that I have done to them. I raised them and kept them safe, quite often putting myself between them and a threat that could kill me. Almost all of them in the room would return the favor to this day, except the oldest of my brothers, the heir. He was the runt of our clutch and hatched days later than the rest of us. I hatched first, but the only ones that survived to adulthood was me and him.

i heared some small feet above the cave I got up and slowly went outside as I sniffed and smelt a unknown dragon"I smell someone that is unknown.. they sound small.."I looked at the king

I turned to Sawa, "I can't exactly move around in here without waking someone, I expect you can't either. Wake up the dragon on your left." It was the son that Frosty had smacked last night. I wondered how the conversation would go. I laid my head back down still alert, I am becoming less alert. The sooner someone can take my spot the better, I am not willing to give it up to the current heir without a fight. I looked at Frosty, she was sleeping peacefully as always. I remember how when some of the boys were younger they would sleep under her wing while she had her tail and head wrapped around them. She would be a good mother, I feel bad for basically forcing the role onto her to help raise her brothers. She understood thankfully and stepped right into the role with tips from other mothers.

"No I got it don't worry"I went out and jumped onto the cave and saw a small baby dragon"Sir? You might wanna see this... It's not a threat but I don't know how to deal with this one..." I looked down at the little dragon and asked it"where are you parents?"the little one didn't replay back to me it seemed terrified

I raised my head and looked up. "What is the Problem Sawa," It's too dark in the cave to see more than 100 feet. That or my eyesight is getting worse, I will never know I didn't find a mate till I was a little later in my adult years. So if I had actually taken the time to find a mate before then I could probably be a great-grandfather.

I picked up the baby dragon as I jumped down and went to black and dropped the baby dragon down in front of him"this is what I heared.. I don't what to do with it your better with baby's then me"

"Don't pick them up by the back of the neck!" I nearly whisper-yelled, "They will imprint on you if they are young enough!" I said I'm glad it was dark because I was almost panicking. "I'm not great with hatchlings and eggs, why do you think Frosty took the role," I said the second part sympathetically. “I’m not great with hatchlings just good at teaching them once they become juveniles.”
