Amara had been up early, long before the sunrise. She hadnt slept well since the fires took her parents. She was left without guidance from them as the queen, and it often worried her, though she refused to show it at all. Her blue eyes glanced around as she saw Aslan laying near the entrance of their makeshift camp, Tara by herself as always it seemed. *I cant blame her. I would be the same if my kin abandoned me* she thought. Fae and Midnight were simply talking, the father daughter pair always close. She remembered hearing how another lioness nursed Fae after her mother died.

Giving a sigh, she looked around more to see Kaya stretching to start the day, and Niro simply trying to sleep in. *He certainly wont be second male* she thought. *Nothing would get done with that lazy brute there.* She knew she had to pick soon, but who to pick? It was harder than she thought, and while the Seconds were always mates, maybe she had to pick two that werent? It was her only option currently. She let out a roar to wake up the rest of the pride, needing to make an announcment.

The white lioness was on a cool rock, that was sitting in the shade. She was lying on her side, her stomach slowly rises and falling down. Her tail flicked at the annoying bugs, and her eyes were shut closed. She yawned slightly, her tongue curling out and slunking back in. She got up slowly, stretching her legs and limbs. She heard the new Queen of the pride call, and Nyla sighed. She leaped off her rock towards the lioness, before lying down again.

The male was already up, stretched, hydrated and all. He was licking meat off his paws, as he caught a lonely gazzele earlier. Riot, yawned, but a slight small growl came out as he did, and along that he heard Amara calling for a meeting. I wonder. He thought to himself, and walked over, sitting beside the white lioness Nyla. He had no true feelings besides friendship towards Nyla, but always wondered about her magnificent coat.

The lioness watched as other started to gather around her. She took a deep break as she knew many would probably be itching to prove themselves once her annoucement was made. Once most of the pride was near, she spoke. "I will soon be picking a Second Male and Second Female. Unlike our past seconds though, they do not have to be mates. I will be watching each of you closely to see who would be better fit in the positions. As a reminder, Second Female would be our lead huntress, and second male would be our lead patroller. Keep this in mind, and once I have picked two for those spots, I will let you all know. For now, Castiel will lead a group out hunting, and Riot will lead a patrolling group." As she watched a few nod their heads she sighed. "Dismissed!"

The large male, shook his mane and sat back down once more.

Once the meeting was dismissed, the lion stood up, looking towards Castiel. "Good luck Castiel." He spoke with a friendly smile, before walking off besides a shady tree, sitting down in the tall grass.

When the meeting was finished, the lioness yawned once more before turning her head to Castiel. So-she is gonna be bossing me around to hunt? This should be fun. She sighed quietly and looked away.
