Alright, that sounds good with me! What of the mechs? Perhaps with their partners disappearance they also vanished or fled somewhere before anyone could do anything to them? Like, without the presence of their partner in this realm they disappear or with them gone they fled and hid somewhere like buried deep inside of the ground or in a hidden ice cavern somewhere? A place where humans can't find them unless searching? I'm open to your interpretation

I like the idea of them just fleeing somewhere maybe impossible for humans to survive in, like so deep underwater the pressure would kill anyone or in an area so cold you'd freeze and then I guess sort of hibernating/powering down?

That would make sense! Maybe they made the cavern underneath a really hot biome so it's cool for them but from the surface it's too hot for most people?

I'm not sure where Espwa would go, I do want to stay true to the species they're modeled after but maned wolves don't really go into extreme temperatures xD
