(Apologies for the triple post. It's necessary at the moment.)
Fenrys - Beta Male - Mention(s): Leaf (ind: Storm, Nikolai)
~
Fenrys eyed the gathered wolves with a rather mistrustful eye, if one was to be accurate with the gleam in his eye as he looked around the gathered wolves. Slinking in, quietly enough not to be noticed, with light pawsteps, he quietly merged himself into the little gathering of wolves - staying near the back. When Fenrys said that he'd do the bare minimum that his Alpha asked him to do, he literally did exactly that. He'd stay long enough for his presence to get noticed, but if he was asked to do anything? Nope. At least, if it was for his Alpha, he wouldn't.
Sidling in quietly beside Leaf, he could most definitely overhear Nikolai and Storm - the unaligned pair - quietly having a discussion that was... perhaps not so quiet. Fenrys tried his best to ignore them, but it was looking like they wanted to do exactly what Fenrys was planning to do later - sneak off and hope no-one missed them. Unfortunately, everyone could hear them - which meant it wasn't exactly that... private.
Hmm. Maybe he should help them sneak away. Fenrys shelved the idea as the alphas finished their discussion and moved towards them.
The ego of that bastard. Fenrys couldn't take it. Seriously, he couldn't. The sooner they could get rid of him, the better. Muttering something under his breath that only he could hear, he looked at them, his disgust clearly hidden, as he played that part of toeing the line between defiance and maintaining his Beta position.

Nikolai - M - Hunter - Mentions: Storm, Fenrys (ind: Arrow, Matzaka)
~
Nikolai recognised his mate's thinking when he saw it, and hurried to calm her. "Storm... it'll be fine. I won't leave you either. If one of us gets chosen, we both go. Deal?" A slash of a grin across his face, meticulously hiding the worry that also erupted inside of him at about the same time Storm started. Sidling a bit closer to her, he inclined his head slightly, and whispered a bit into Storm's ear. "We can talk about it later. But if they try to drag you off now, they're going to have to drag me with you whether they want to or not. So it'll be fine. I'm not going to leave you."
Nikolai cast a quick look around, seeing the alphas finish their discussion and stand up towards them. Although he doubted they'd be chosen - it was a one in four chance, for god's sake, and he and Storm were probably one of the poorer choices to be conquering new lands for them - that didn't do anything to lessen the knot of anxiety in his stomach. What if they were? Nikolai was good in multiple things, but mind reading wasn't one of them.
So all he could do was wait. Wait, and see what came out of it.

Matzaka - (Crazy) Alpha Male - Mentions: All gathered.
~
Matzaka nodded. Whispering quietly to Arrow, "I'll say Fenrys, Nightingale, Echo, and Timber can tag along with his mentor." His nose wrinkled slightly at the thought of the disobedient Beta - while he couldn't really be properly punished, even to him there was no doubting what he felt.
Really, it had been the worst day in the world when his father promoted him to be Beta. Even though they used to be close friends, and his father thought that he was acting for the best... oh no, in no way did this help his current situation.
Turning away from Arrow, his decision made, he pattered towards the pack. His right foreleg gave a bit of a twinge as he did that, but he ignored it. No point thinking about it now when they had better things to do.
Reaching them, and mounting a convenient rock situated in front of them, Matzaka surveyed his pack - yes, his pack - with a bit of a proud eye. It was almost solely his accomplishment, ever since he picked up the reins, destined for greatness - and led the pack to it.
What would they have been without him, after all?
Clearing his throat a bit, he spoke in a loud voice. He didn't need to add the tone underneath it that implied what disobedience to his next orders meant - they all knew it. After all, he knew better. His proud posture also said so - he didn't need to emphasise it any further.
"You may have heard some rumors going around our pack that we believe that there are lands near us ripe for picking." It was second instinct for Matzaka to use the inclusive pronoun "we" - it was how he had risen so quickly, after all. Only, now, it was used a bit differently. And what was wrong with that?
"I too believe this. The territory towards the setting sun has been weakening for years, with the wolves in them slowly leaving. We even have found one or two of them in the recent years." He looked over his pack once again, before continuing. "Hence, I'm saying on behalf of all of us, we shall send four of our wolves to go test them. Figure out where they're weakest. And, if they have the means to, attack them and annex their land." Matzaka didn't say what they would do if they didn't find the means to. He didn't need to, after all. His self-confidence said they would, and while he couldn't trust some of them, they all knew what would happen if they couldn't.
"Fenrys." The grey male, lurking on the edge of the pack, with hostile intent written all over his face, glared back at him. Let him glare, Matzaka thought. I can take him down a peg if he needs to.
"Nightingale." He broke Fenrys's eye contact and glanced towards the female heir.
"Timber." He should have expected it, Matzaka inwardly thought, looking at Timber with his fellow younger juveniles.
"And Echo." Matzaka finally looked at the apprentice healer.
