Kye snarled " You are not fine, Mara. I can smell them on you. " he spread his wings out and blocked her path " let me help you" his red eyes refocused on her, trying to hold back. i cant hurt her... he thought

Mara collapsed right then and there. She was exhausted and everything was blurry, yet the cat still tried to get up and keep going. "But I need to keep going-" It was almost a whisper, and she staggered back over.

Kye fought his hunger and caught her in his arms and fly back to the cabin " You are not dying today on me, Mara"

Five minutes later, he walekd through the door, closed it and carried Mara to the bed, where it was warm. He set her down gently and sighed " Mara..."

Mara nestled her way under the blankets. She was trying to hide, as she thought Frost might near.

Kye sighed " He's not here, Mara. I promise you. I did something pretty risky. But I also told him to leave you be"

"He'll never listen!" Mara cried out, pushing herself further down to the foot of the bed.

Kye sighed " yes he will. Ill make him see sense, Mara" he said stroking her fur to keep her calm

"Theres someone else.. I didnt tell anyone about yet." Mara exhaled, as if what she was saying was a burden. She was still curled up at the foot of the bed, under the blankets, in the dark.

Kye snarled " whoever they are ill kill them. No one deserves to live if their intentions are to hurt you, mara. Im here to protect you"

Mara sighed. "Mockingbird. Hangs with Frost-"
