Elliot had been going about his day checking on his packmates, making sure everyone was alright and healthy. He surely hadn't forgotten that today was Bobby's birthday. Today also happened to be the day that most of the wolves turning 18 or had turned 18 a few days before would go to a sort of ceremony where they went on a hunt for their mates. He went up to Bobby's room to ask if he was still going to the ceremony when he found him on the floor, and he frowned. "You okay? What happened?" That look of concern and vague possessive tone was back, and he knelt down to help Bobby off the floor.

Once he helped the male steady himself, he clears his throat softly. "So the mate ceremony is later today for the 18 year olds to find their mates. Are... are you going? I-I mean, it is your birthday today, s-so I thought I'd ask..." He said hesitantly, his voice somewhat hopeful.

"Yes I am going to go. But I think I might have an idea on who my maye is." Bobby said smiling at him. "Thanks. I am normally on my feet but I guess today was just a happy day." He smiled and sighed. He had hope that Elliot was going to be alright with who his mate was. But he also wonder who is mate was. He look around and said "I better get ready for it."

Elliot nodded, smiling warmly as he spoke. "Alright. Everyone will be ready and waiting on the front courtyard in about 3 hours." He informed him, tilting his head as his eyes glittered with faint amusement. After a moment of hesitant thinking, he gives Bobby a quick, gentle hug, before stepping back and clearing his throat. "Ahem. W-Well, I have an errand to run while we wait for the ceremony. I myself might not be there, but if I'm not I promise to see you after. I'll see you later.." He rambled quickly, and paused as he turned to leave. "Oh, and happy birthday." He chirped brightly, before he than walks off and leaves the building; he was probably going on a last minute hunt or something.

Bobby said "Thanks." He was a little sad but he managed to get ready. He than walk around the building waiting for the three hours to past. He wonder if his mate was there or not. He sighed as he went back to his room. Maybe after this over than He would go back into his room to hide. He than went outside and look around. It was a beautiful day. He like it.

About 3 hours later a bell sounded, signalling that the ceremony was starting soon. All the wolves in the pack that were 18 made their way to the front courtyard, chattering excitedly amongst each other. A male wolf, probably the Beta, was up on a platform with a podium. The male waited as the wolves gathered, his expression somewhat bored but ready to get started with this. Clearing his throat, he began to speak. "As you all know, you're here today to find your mates. When the gong sounds, the scent of your mate will come to you, and that will signal the start of your search. Ready? Aaaaand.. *gong* START!"

Bobby began to smell Pine needles and Syrup. He was confused at first but he kept smelling it. He look around and did not see Elliot. He sighed as he kept smelling. He than got knock over. He was trap under a lot of wolves. He look around for help. He managed to them off. He than walk inside and went to his room and stayed there. His leg hurt from the wolves and he was going to rest it a little bit.

The sound of footsteps is heard approaching Bobby's room. As the footsteps grew closer, the smell of pine needles and syrup got stronger. Than, after a muffled sigh is heard from outside the closed bedroom door, there was a quiet knocking. Whoever was knocking waited quietly for Bobby to answer the door. Other wolves who passed gave the person odd looks, but they were shooed off as they continued to wait patiently.

Bobby went and opened the door. He was surprised at who was standing at the door. "Come in." He said as he walk to his bed and sat down. His leg hurt a little less now. He was a little worried about what was going to happen now. He could smelled the Pine needles and Syrup. To him it smelled like heaven. He kept his eyes on the other person and smiled a little bit.

The person who had knocked was none other than Elliot. He smiles slightly at Bobby, looking a bit shy before he spoke. "So uhhh.. surprise? Hehe.." Elliot chuckles nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. "I wanted it to be a surprise. I've known this since my 18th birthday." He then noticed that Bobby seemed to be in a bit of pain, and he frowns in concern. "Are you hurt? Where does it hurt, where did it happen, and how did it happen?" His voice rumbled softly with worry, sitting down beside Bobby on his bed.

Bobby said "Its getting a little better. Lets just say a lot of wolves jump and landed on me. It hurt my leg. Best surprised ever." He smiled and look at him. "I am going to be alright as long as I do not walk on it much. I am glad that your my mate. I was a little be shock at first but than I grew happy because I knew you were the only one that I trusted."
