It wasn't necessary to speak to Anca twice; she vanished immediately and returned to her safe home. As soon as girl crossed the threshold, she went to the kitchen. She opened one of the cabinets and took out the first aid kit to treat her head. It still damnably hurt her.

"So" vampire started thinking loudly "there are more of them for sure. And probably occupy the entire city." She put some ice to her forehead and continued; "Because you stupidly stuck your nose where you didn't need to, now you'll have a whole pack of werewolves hunting you. Congratulations!"

Anca got up. She looked out the window. The sun would rise again in a few hours. Which meant she wouldn't be able to leave the house. Vampire usually was sleeping during day or or performed small jobs remotely.

However she wasn't going today do the same. It was necessary to search a great maze of corridors and rooms for more informations about the pack and the house itself. She decided not to waste any time and started with a small library.

As brock woke up in the morning, he wore some clothes and went downstairs. He made himself breakfast, got in his car, and went to school. He saw his friends still talking in the parking lot and he went to park his car near theirs. As he got out of his car "Sup guys" Brock said and opened the rear door to grab his backpack.

All of them entered school at 8:30 and went straight into class. As the day was over he Brock headed straight to his Alpha. "Boss we got a problem and a huge one" His boss Duke came out of the shadows and replied "What's wrong now brock" and as Duke came out of the shadows 3 women came after him. Brock said " Seems like you had a tough night right Duke"

"Don't get into my personal life Brock, now tell me what is this huge problem?" Duke said sarcastically and smiled at Brock.

As duke was opening a bottle of bourbon Brock said "We have a vampire in town Duke " as Duke heard him saying there was a vampire in town he grabbed the glass and threw it at the wall and smashed it into pieces.

"Gather the pack, Brock we go tonight, and send a clear message to all the other vampires which taught they could follow her here," Duke said as he turned looking at the brock, Duke's eyes bright red and fangs out drool all over his chin.

Andrei was searching and sorting out the dusty rooms one by one. All the curtains were drawn all the time and that was the main reason why it was so dusty. Thanks to the cleaning, she slowly began to understand how to move around her place. Anca also learned something new about her predecessor.

Mr. Thomas Andrei had owned this building since the 80s. He was supposed to live in a remote area with some relatives who helped him maintain the property. He had a successful factory in the nearby town, which has been in operation for a good 20 years. However, suddenly he decided to shut it down and declare bankruptcy. Family left him and man he moved on to some holiday home where he lived until his unexpected death.

Anca remembered him well, she had even visited his new home several times.

And although she managed to find a lot of information unknown to her, nothing was mentioned about werewolves. There were still a few rooms left, but the girl decided to rest. She went upstairs to her room and started reading the messages she got from the rest of her clan a few days ago.

Night arrived and Duke, Brock, and the other half shifted and ran through the forest and headed towards the big old house where the vampire was living. All of them gathered around the house, some at the back and the others at the front door. Brock never saw Duke this angry, as he confronted him "Duke calm down, we need to be cautious about this " Brock said.

Duke pushed him out of the way and said "Get out here now", Duke knew she could hear him as she was a vampire it was one of her special skills. Duke turned to look at Brock and said "If she doesn't come out go and break the door and we'll enter",

Brock starred at the house wondering what the vampire was going to do.

Duke's pack had over fifteen werewolves she was no match for them. Brock wasn't like Duke, Brock gives people a chance before getting to kill them, he tried to convince Duke about this, but all Duke wanted to do is kill, other creatures that were different than them.

Anca looked up when she heard a noise outside. She peeked out slightly from behind the curtain hung on her window. In the darkness she hadn't noticed anything at first. But suddenly something moved in the bushes. It was a second but proprietress guessed who it might be.

*They came here?! But how did they get over the fence?* she sat down on the bed scared *What a question, they were werewolves, it probably wasn't a challenge for them. What they want?*

Anca had a very, VERY bad feeling. She knew she is in danger. Someone battered aggressively on her door. There wasn't a lot of time left for thinking.

Andrei took the clothes out of the wardrobe and put it under her coverlet so that they reminded that someone is lying there. She hoped that her smell and shape on her bed would mislead the werewolves. She was going to evacuate herself. Anca quickly scooped up the paperwork about Thomas from her desk and truned off the light. Then she quickly ran to the attic and closed the entrance to it.

It was one big mess. Everywhere were lying jars and bottles with suspect liquids, ashes and pollen everywhere. There wasn't light switch anywhere. Vampire had to bend down as she walked. The ceiling was very lowand. But most importantly there was a skylight window. A great opportunity to escape.

(It's starting to get very interesting. They can try to fight a little in the attic. There is little space, so maybe a werewolf or two should go in there)

The pack broke the front door and all of them entered the house.

"Brock you take the attic, the others go around the house search for her, and bring her to me" Brock listened to Duke and headed for the attic. As he was going upstairs he looked in the rooms seeing how beautiful they were and admiring the paintings.

Brock found the door which led to the attic, it seemed to be closed from the inside. Brock caught her scent once again, her scent was getting easy to catch now as this wasn't their first encounter. He Broke the door giving it a hard kick with his right foot. As he entered he saw the female vampire in the corner, she seemed scared and Brock didn't want her to feel that way, although he sounded dominant the night before.

"Listen I'm not going to hurt you, but you must leave here, If my alpha finds you he will kill you." Wow, she's gorgeous Brock said in his mind. "Get out from the skylight and never come back here". He wanted her to stay he wanted to get to know her, but circumstances were complicated and difficult for them to get to know each other.

Her brows and nose crinkled as she bared her white fangs. The eyes grew darker and more vivid. She made a sort of warning hiss. This place was too important to give it away. It had many secrets, magic and vampire culture that just had to be protect. And she as inheritance had to take care of all of them. However, Anca knew that if she die, she wouldn't be able to do anything about this.
"Alright. You won" she took a few steps towards the window. "But don't feel at home here too much." She will be back soon; when certain circumstances allow her to use her full power.
Still keeping distance Anca opened the window and was about to leave, when suddenly another werewolf ran into the attic.

Brock looked behind him and saw the other werewolf, baring his fangs at the vampire, his eyes were bright yellow. As the other werewolf was about to jump on the vampire Brock jumped in the way and slammed his packmate to the door. The other werewolf starred at Brock, "Brock what are you doing, she's our enemy, you heard what duke said". Brock turned to look at the vampire "LEAVE NOW" he yelled at her.

Brock helped the other werewolf get up and both of them went downstairs, as the other werewolf saw Duke " Duke Brock let her get away, he stopped me from killing her". As duke heard this he went face to face with Brock " Is this true Brock, please tell me it isn't" Brock looked down to the ground and told him "Yes it is true, she didn't do anything wrong, we don't have to kill her". As the other members heard Brock speaking they all laughed at him.

"Brock you know you're going to regret this right, I will leave my pack to decide what to do with you " duke hopped in his car and left. The pack gathered around Brock and gave the beating of his life. They broke multiple bones of Brock's body. After they almost beat him to death they left. After a couple of hours, Brock had some strength to get up and he had to walk home as the others took his car. As he arrived home he lay in bed, he was covered in blood. He was wondering why I am doing this, especially for a vampire.

As a shadow Anca managed to escape from surrounded by enemies possession. Without looking back, she initially flew towards the forest, but later decided to find a hideaway somewhere else. And this place was the city.

Although it was werewolves' territory, there was a bigger chance of that in the event of an attack, she would be able to turn to people for help. Besides this, in the city, girl had a chance to find quickly something to eat. After all, humans also have blood-based foods. She also decided that it's necessary to find a way to be able to go outside during the day.

It was risky. If the method didn't work, vampire would just turn to dust. However, if she won't be able to leave the hideout at all time, she will be sentenced to death by werewolves anyway.

Once she got to town, still as a shadow, she started looking for a safe place. She finally found a place that looked promising. Namely a school. It was closed properly and there was a night watchman inside. There were many things in the classrooms that could be used for something. Among other things, Anca found some food, clothes and a room which was good for spending time through the day and wondering what to do next; a storage space for props and some basketball and soccer balls.
