Rose lay where she was, and stared back at him, thankful that he had backed off. However, she was in a bit of a snarly mood, so instead of replying to the question, she asked one instead. "What are you doing here, Forest Wolf?" It might not have been her finest comeback, but she was scared. Her ears lay flat against her head and her body and head was pressed into the dirt and leaves.

"What are you doing here, Forest Wolf?" She replied back a bit snarly. He chuckled, he liked her already. "This is my habitat, I believe you Sea Wolves live on a different island," Raven replied back, his voice calm. She didn't need to know that he was traveling to get off this island. She would most likely be back to her own territory soon anyway.

Rose blinked. "We sea wolves live all across these islands, we don't stick to one." She replied tightly. "Afterall, we spend more time in the water then out." She dug her claws into the dirt. "I am supposing you are about to chase me off this island then. I could save you the energy and just chase myself." She slwoly rose to her feet, stretching her back legs and flexing her sore rear paws before placing them back down as she stepped from the bush and stood to her full height, as short as that was. She had been an alpha, she would stand up for herself now that she was on her own, again. She pricked her ears and lifted her tail, but cocked her head, sniffing slightly. "You don't smell of any forest pack I have run into." She commented slyly. "In fact, you don't smell of a pack at all." Her mouth opened into a pant, tounge lolling as her eyes began to sparkle teasenly. If this wolf had been chased from his pack too, maybe he would turn out to be friendly. It was worth a shot.

I could save you the energy and just chase myself."She said getting up to stretch. She wasn't that big but her posture was like an alpha. Or he thought so, he didn't know what an alpha would act like. "You don't smell of any forest pack I have run into. In fact, you don't smell of a pack at all." She said slyly and he flicked his ears. "Welcome to Death Island. Land of rogues big and small. Most Forest Wolves keep to the rogue pack, those who stray die. And you can stay however long you want, just be warned that they will be here in a few days time." He said, turning back towards the beach. Or less. He thought to himself, looking over his shoulder at the trees making it look casual even though he was tense.

Death Island. Rose did NOT like the sound of that. She watched as he turned back towards the beach and glanced back. He was trying to look calm, but his body was tense. They needed to get out of here, she realized. Pretty much right now. Just her luck to swim to a death pack's island. "Come now, let us be off then." She said, moving quickly towards the inviting blue expanse of the sea. She let her rear paws drag a bit with every step to hide her limp as best she could. "Can you swim well?" She asked, glancing over him to judge the muscle groups.

"Come now, let us be off then. Can you swim well?" She asked moving towards the sea. "Us? What do you mean us?" He asked slightly annoyed. On land, she would slow him down. Plus, he traveled alone. Raven flicked his ears before saying tensely, "I don't like to swim, nor can I swim for a long time like you Sea wolves." His tail twitched before he asked with a raised eyebrow, "What is your name? So I don't keep calling you by your species."

Rose turned to look at him incredulously. "Did you not just say this was an island?" She asked, amazed. "The only way off an island is to swim." She turned and sat down, her tail curling over her paws as she tilited her head once more. "My name is Rose, what's yours?"

"Did you not just say this was an island? The only way off an island is to swim. My name is Rose, what's yours?" She said sitting down. He flicked an ear before saying, "Night Raven. And yes, the only way off this island is to swim." He sat down himself before making a paw print in the sand. He made it big before making small ones in short distance from it before dragging a line across the side closest to her. "That's mainland," Raven said pointing at the line before pointing at the big pawprint, "That's this island. On the far side of the island," he pointed at the small prints before continuing, "There is an alignment of islands that lead straight to the mainland. They have short distances to swim to get there." He flicked an ear at her making sure she understood before kicking sand over the makeshift map. He got back up, "Once I reach the far side of the island, I can start the swim. Not before though."

Night Raven, huh? Must have belonged to one of those fancier packs deeper in the mainland she had heard about from the cat clans. She tilted her head down to look at his map before looking back up at him and then over his back at the woods, pricking her ears. After listening for a few moments and relaxed them and returned her attention to Night Raven. "Do you want company?" She questioned. "I have much to offer a companion in travel."

"Do you want company? I have much to offer a companion in travel." She said, relaxing. He flicked an ear before looking pointedly at her leg, "Normal Sea Wolves can't keep up with us Forest Wolves. What makes you think you can?" He anwered her question with a question, raising an eyebrow. The last thing he needed was to be slowed down, which was exactly what was happening at the moment.
