Oh my god this is all so wholesome but what was that about the whole killing thing? That seems really important- Mai would totally love- but definitely tease and drag into some mild chaos- Zakai. I know neither of you have met her but think of a wilder version of child Ellie from UP except she lives in a van after travelling through the desert and has colorful Hawaiian shirts Cal will definitely make sure Sol gets teased and a bit of fun in their life but Phoebe might not bother them too much just because his name "sounds like a super cool knight guy" |

Right, lmao So, Sol has schizophrenia, he's killed someone before, no way around it (their power, which involves interacting with the dead, does not help anything). You'll figure out eventually, so I may as well tell you now, whilst in the middle of a major episode, Sol killed their father (who he loved very much. It was a total accident, they had no control of their mind at that point) which got them put into a mental hospital (that place was fucking terrible, super abusive and shit), which is where he met Kano. To be clear, Sol was being medicated while in the mental hospital (foracibly, it was very traumatic) and basically dropped all meds once they got out (also thanks to Kano). The two grew very close very quickly, but they are the least fucking healthy people for each other. Like, God, it's bad when they're together. Kano pushes Sol's buttons, Kano pushes Sol's. In the origional timeline, Kano takes it a step too far by victim blaming and accusing Sol while they're already in the midst of an episode. Sol kills them. Then, remember how I mentioned Sol's power involving the afterlife? Yeah, Kano comes back and torments them there. Fun, right?! This timeline is different because of two things, one, Sol's actually getting help (yay!), so, even though Kano's still a bitch (not victim blaming for the killing thing though, Sol's not innocent-), Sol's a little more stable and able to avoid a total break and, two, I wanted to play Kano here, so I couldn't just kill them off, lol - Zakai being mildly mortified but going along with it because friends are nice- Also, Z will totally end up turning into a slightly panicky older sibling/parent to the chaotic people eventually Vida: "Hey, Z, everytime I come see you, you've got more gray hairs. What's got ya so stressed out?" Zakai: "Why- HAVE YOU SEEN WHO I'M LIVING WITH RIGHT NOW?!? THIS GROUP TRIPLES MY ANXIETY LEVELS JUST BY BEING AROUND THEM! AND YOU'RE ASKING WHY I'D BE FUCKING STRESSED?!" Zakai, 2 seconds later: "JACKIE, PUT DOWN THE FUCKING KNIFE RIGHT NOW, YOU'RE GONNA GET HURT!" - That's so fucking cute- Sol would roll their eyes affectionately at Cal, just like with all the other overly energetic, lovable idiots in his life (aka Jackie) and bake them a cake And then they'd turn around and knit Phoebe a sweater as an offering to say that he thinks she's really cool and they should be friends - See, don't we just love sane Sol? They're literally a loving mother. They love knitting, baking, and reading. He will do all of these things for those around them too You get a bed time story! You get cookies! You get a sweater! So much mellower than breaking-point Sol XD |

I love every version of Sol. I've seen a lot of Sol lmao Also, fun little detail- Jackie's also been to a mental hospital before. - Iezekiel and Zakai are both becoming the concerned, panicky older siblings/parents here and I am all for it. They are so upset. Especially with Jackie haha- Also, love that you chose Jackie to have the knife. He totally would. But then he'd also rant on about how 'Oh, come on! Knives are like, the least dangerous thing I could have! I own a gun outside of this place! Well, multiple, actually. Want to know which ones? Their designations? Descriptions? History? I know it all! It's actually super interesting, I promise!' all the while just twirling the damn knife with no regard for safety. - Yesss- Jackie telling everyone jokes too. Definitely comparing sweaters with Phoebe. |

oh my god Sol and Cal really need time together because the similarities are killing me- Powers relating to the dead, schizophrenia which probably makes it worse, and feels responsible/is responsible for at least one death of someone close to them. Mai and Jackie giggling maniacally will forever haunt Zakai's dreams Sane Sol is a Super not Sad Sol Jackie and Phoebe bonding over sweaters when she cannot even fit into any- Also I am so excited for Mai and Jackie to bond over Mai's travels and gush about all the alien sighting locations she has visited in person Hahaha- dont tell Cal about Jackie's obsession with firearms. She will not handle that information well. |
