East glanced at Nova sighing he stared at her. His eyes studied every bruise, rib, and scar she had. He could feel emotion whelming in him, its not fair, why we're they treated like this? "You okay Nova?" East mumbled lifting his arms away from his face allowing her to stare into his baby blue eyes. His eyes landed on her eyes watching them for any emotion. He couldn't help but worry for her... But he worried about everyone, he felt so guilty, he was their alpha, their protector, yet he couldn't stop the scientists from hurting them all.

*Sigh* " I don't know... it's hard to protect them when we can't even protect ourselves..." She said, staring into his eyes, then drew away to lick her scarred eye and body. "I just wish we could find a way out of this place." She mumbled as she kicked the dirt with her front paw.

East scooted closer to Nova scratching behind her ears, "It's going to be okay, I'm going to get us out soon.." East mumbled with compassion in his tone. As he opened his mouth to speak
raw meat could be scented in the air. Food plunged down the pipe landing in the trough. His gaze darted to the food it was the lowest quality food possible, probably dossed with chemicals. Sighing he excused himself from their conversation. As he stood he pressed against the wall for support weakly. He then stumbled over to the others coughing before he spoke, "They served food, I know were all hungry but try not to eat too much I just know they did something to the food." East mumbled before stumbling back over to Nova. He didn't sit back down he could feel the shift coming on like a sneeze. And he was right he coughed then groaned in agony before his shifting took place. Usually shifting hadn't hurt as bad but after the most recent tests it felt like hell. He lied slumped on the ground in his wolf form breathing heavily. But he pushed himself up sitting straight beside Nova. He gave a low whine ensuring he was fine to Nova before speaking, "Go ahead and eat too, but like I said don't eat much.." He muttered before curling up in a ball trying to get his throbbing headache and burning pain to go away.

Leaf heard what East said about the meat. " C...could I have some of that meat?" Leaf asked, her voice shaking. "And is there any chance there's water? My throat hurts so bad."

Roanoke gasped with horror as Leaf slumped. This day was already so horrible, now there was poisoned food? "We must eat, though," she pointed out. "I know it's horrible, but do you want to be darted? The darts are so much worse." These conditions were so, so horrible. She swallowed back a whine as she stepped to the trough and took a bit of the meat. It tasted horrible, but she kept chewing. Soon, she started to feel sleepy, and the world swayed horribly. She let herself go, but managed to push out a final word. "Please..."

"You ok?" She said as she bent down to lick is head after he shifted. "I've suffered hunger. I'll suffer again, if it means not eating chemicals." She growled, her face screwed with disgust. "I just wish they would stop! I still remember being picked up from my family to be some lab rat in this cell! We WERE humans before they basically killed us. Now, I despise them." I wish I could help them. All of them. It's my job, my duty to. She thought sadly as she tore her gaze from East to look at the rest of their group.
