Howling You place your last bait in a cage by the edge of the water and sneak away. Your eagle watches with curious anticipation. A young seal flops ashore and snags the bait before you can get back to it, then pulls its head back out.
(I have edited the falconry equipment to include eagles, as I see that they weren't listed among the other raptors) You have used all your bait and have not found any more during your expedition. You may still send your eagle out with its falconry equipment, but other than this all your items are unusable. If you don't use the equipment, your story will be concluded but all your items will be saved. In 24 hours you may start a new journey after you have bought more bait/any additional items.

Howling Ending You place the falconry equipment on your arm and on your bird, surprised at how easily it accepts it. You wonder if it has been trained before. Then, you toss your arm upward and it shoots off. You look through your bag and realize you have no more bait. Watching the sky to see if your eagle is still on the hunt, you begin to head back to the boat. Following your lantern, you make a quick and easy return. You shuffle through the items and find no more bait here, either. It’s time to head home. You wonder how long it will take for your eagle to return, but just then you see a little spark of red. It’s flying back now. And it had something clutched gently in its talons! The bird flaps its wings a few times to steady itself and releases what it caught into your hand. It’s a finch, type 1, and it has a green color scheme. You check it over to make sure it has no injuries, and find that your eagle was smart enough to be very careful. You smile. You’ve caught two birds! Your eagle lands on the side of your raft, seemingly knowing that you plan to return. The finch chirps, burying itself in your hair while standing on your shoulder. It seems to be avoiding the eagle. You hope the two can eventually make up. You pack your things and look out over the sea. It looks calm, like you were told. Still, it seems odd that getting back could be easy if going out was hard, especially since the current carried you to the island. You grab your oars and begin to paddle. Strangely, the raft once again seems to have a kind of its own as it begins drifting without your help. You wash up on the mainland confused but excited to share your discoveries. A man greets you on the shore, seemingly confused as to who you are. You ask him about the woman who sent you off, and he seems to have no idea who she was. “I’m from the local science institution,” he says, “we just moved here for a chance to study that island. I think they just kicked some scam group out of the office we’re in now. Kinda strange, huh? But anyways, what were you doing out there?” You blink. Things are apparently a lot stranger than you realized. Congratulations on finding two birds! Here they are: You may return to the island after 24 hours and after restocking. Here is your current inventory: Backpack: 4/5 ( cage, hunter’s guide, machete, falconry equipment) Boat: 3/10 (Boat lantern, falconry equipment, decoder ring)

Wolf pride You place a fish on the forest floor and step away. None of the birds flitting through the trees seem terribly interested. A snake reaches down from the trees and grabs the fish.
