| Vah I agree with that, the school I went to wasn't that bad with cartoon art they just wanted it to have actual shading and lighting which is something I can't do it always looks wrong when I try |

| Collar/Aure It definitely depends on where you go. The schools here have a major stick up their butt about what is and isn't art. But it's like... cartoon styles are everywhere. Logos, books, brand icons, stamps, stickers, television, toys--it is everywhere. So it drives me nuts when art schools push this concept aside because we need more of it instead of always focusing on fancy "paintings" and portraits (which are nice, don't get me wrong but a brand isn't going to buy a portrait. It's going to buy the little cartoon instead) |
