Song; One Of Us by NightCove_theFox
(With some alterations to the lyrics to better fit characters and avoid as much repeating)
Characters; (In order of those killed) Brone, Zena, Tavora, and Madox. Narin and Belial mentioned.
Context; So, uh-
You know Belial, right? Narin’s abuser? The puppet man? Yeah, well, he does have some other victims, so that’s fun. It’s kinda creepy because Belial just has a room of dolls with people's DNA in them and literally all of them are dead except Narin.
But, yeah…
Also, these people are all vengeful spirits, with the exception of Zena who’s just really sad. They all do latch on to Narin along with Belial with the basic goal of attempting to help Narin where they can and a basic understanding that, until their dolls are destroyed, therefore freeing them, they can’t fully move on.
They also have limited abilities to interact with their dolls, like slightly moving an arm, but not much more than that.
---
*All the past victims gather together and attach to the new victim, something that’s become tradition at this point, both already mourning the person who’s about to face the same that they went through and with hesitant hope that the new person will break the cycle and manage to destroy their puppets and let them rest*
Brone, watching Belial approach Narin, knowing what’s coming and attaching to Narin almost immediately, shortly followed by the other three, pity and regret written on his face: “Hey, do you know what it's like to be one of us?”
Madox, Belail’s latest victim, clearly upset as he watches Belial casually pluck one of Narin’s hairs from his head, referencing the puppets: “Trapped inside our moving coffins!”
Zena, eyes sad as she watches, not angry like the others, more just empathetic: “We're dancing, but crying inside…”
Tavora, angry and frustrated that Belial keeps getting away with this shit, talking to Narin while knowing he can’t hear: “You don't you wanna know the secrets we're hiding, the violence we're stifling!”
*Narin agrees to go out with Belial and the two exchange numbers, locking in Narin’s fate in the victim’s eyes.*
Bode and Tavora, watching Belial and Narin walk away from each other, clearly angry: “One of us…”
Zena and Madox, upset and fearful on Narin’s behalf: “One of us…”
*As Narin and Belial start to grow closer, the dead become more anxious to try and get their message across, especially after knowing more about Narin and his family. They attempt to move their dolls anytime Narin’s around them, struggling to get his attention*
Brone, shoving his doll as much as possible: “S”
Madox, following Brone’s lead: “A”
Tavora, doing the same: “V”
Zena, knowing it’s hopeless, watching sadly: “E… us…:
*Eventually, Narin starts a romantic relationship with Belial and Brone and Zena, the two who were romantically involved with Belial before start to try even harder knowing that, while being anywhere near Belial is bad on its own but being romantic with him makes everything 10 times worse*
Brone, wishing he could speak to Narin, desperately trying to get him to follow his gut in some way, “children” refers to Narin’s sisters: “Hey, there, you're lookin' a bit afraid, he'll rip that smile right off your face! Even the children smell your fear!”
Zena, desperate and on the verge of tears, wanting Narin to get out before everything starts crashing down: “We'll teach you a little lesson, so please, listen! You don't know how bad it hurts!”
Madox, still mostly focused on getting Narin to help them out at the moment: “Won't you please relieve our pain?”
*Okay, so now touching more on Zena (totally not because she’s my favorite- I kinda wanna play her in a different RP honestly, I love her-) and how she’s honestly more interested in making sure the others are taken care of than herself, even when trying to communicate with Narin and even when alone*
Zena, finally taking a chance at moving her doll with Narin’s alone in the room with her, desperately trying to make sure the others, including Narin, are taken care of, shoving the doll with every letter: “S-A-V-E T-H-E-M!”
*Eventually, the abuse does start and the dead watch in rage and sadness as Beliar starts revealing himself*
Brone and Tavora, angry: “One of us…”
Zena and Madox, sadly: “One of us…”
Madox, starting to go mad after watching everything Belial is doing to someone else, truly realizing how bad it all is and how obvious from a different perspective: “S-A-V-E me!”
*There’s a stretch where the abuse from Belial gets worse, right before Narin escapes, and the dead watch in horror as they realize that this is actually the worst abuse yet, Zena’s being the closest but still not quite as bad*
Brone, looking away in pain and disgust: “There's no escape from this hell…”
Zena, desperately trying to find some good in it all, assuring herself that, at the very least, after Narin dies the others can help him recover, just as they do for each other: “Now that you're one of us, we can be a family…!”
Tavora, gritting their teeth and looking away as Narin screams in pain: “Save all your screams for the depths below…”
Madox, fixated on the scene, fuming and sad, directing this anger at Belial: “Feel all the evil writhe inside your bones…”
Brone, clearly upset: “Many years ago, we had the memory of being free…”
Madox, on the verge of tears as Belial leaves Narin on the ground sobbing alone: “Why were our souls forsaken?”
Zena, looking away as she starts to cry as well: “To this day, we still wonder what we did wrong…”
*Finally, Narin plots to escape from Belial and the past victims watch with a mix of excitement, hope, and awe*
Brone, starting to wonder if it might be possible for one of them to actually get away: “One of us…?”
Tavora, grinning hopefully as Narin gathers his things: “One of us?”
Zena, breathing out a sigh of relief at even the slight possibility of escape, because if one person can get away, that would break a cycle: “One of us!”
Madox, in awe but also slightly worried still that his doll is left standing: “One of us…”
Brone and Tavora, watching on as Narin actually leaves, hopeful that he can actually make it, even if Belial does track him down: “We’ll fight until the morning!”
Madox, still slightly upset about his doll: “You can’t save me…”
Zena, placing a hand on Madox’s shoulder, encouraging him to recognize that one of them escaping is a win for all of them, not something to mourn: “So we’ll save him.”
