Briar would probably internally panic at first, as expected, but they probably wouldn't tell Aries immediately. Mostly because, at that point their main goal is to make sure Aries doesn't have another mental breakdown and try to help soothe him.

Though they are aware that they can't hide the information forever, especially since after Garvin wakes up, he's probably gonna be told, so they'd mainly just try to make sure Aries is in a state where he's somewhat better and maybe possibly won't have a breakdown after getting the information and give it as gently as possible, like "he's okay now, he'll be okay, but..."

And they'd refrain from really telling the polycule anything really, again, mostly for Aries' sake, though they honestly might shoot Nico a text that basically just claims they're with Garvin and will make sure he's alright until he's ready to either contact them or go back and hope that works well enough for the moment, lol
