Violet; She was in the system for about 10 years due to her bio families financial situation pared with her just starting to show signs of psychosis. Her parents didn't want to risk having to pay for medication on top of food and housing. I'd say she probably got to the Thompson's before Keijo... maybe just under a year or so?

Kage; In the system for about 3 1/2 to 4 years. His bio family was very abusive, leading to Kage running away and eventually being found by the police. When Kage explained, the situation was looked into and resulted in Kage being placed into the system. Probably in the Harper household for about two years now.

Alecia and Atlas; These two are... complicated. They ended up in the system because their mother left and their father... "passed away." When the twins mother was contacted, she refused to take Alecia and Atlas so they were instead placed into the system. They've been in the system for a little over five years, but they were actually seperated for the first year of this. Alecia ended up in a juvenile detention center for a series of physical altercations she got into, mostly protecting Atlas from bullying that he faced. Eventually she was let out and they reconnected. They've probably been in the Harper household for at least a few months.

Skylar; He's been in the system for about two years now. His parents kicked him out for him not being able to "meet their expectations" and his brother "being better than him anyway." Authorities found him after he was caught stealing food and, after looking into his situation, he was simply placed into the system rather than spending any time in juvi. He's probably been in the Johnson household for a couple of months.

Letif; In the system for about three years now. A small group found Letif close to death out in the woods and took him in to get him healthy again. Initially, they planned to kind of just adopt Letif into their group officially, but due to a lack of financial stability, they had no choice but to turn him in with the hopes of him finding a better living situation. The group is still in contact with Letif today. Letif has probably been in the Johnson household for about a year and a half now.

Also, I've realized that, since he hasn't met James yet (or, at least not formally met), Sky doesn't have that scar on his face yet, haha...

Here is what AFCS Garvin remembers the scene following Yari’s death being like.

Panu leading him away. Fintan and Viik having a conversation in the background. Panu asking him questions. The body isn’t dealt with for a little while afterwards, he assumes but isn’t too sure since he didn’t look back to check. The entire situation seems odd to him but not enough to really warrant any distrust or concern or anything like that. The only thing that really warrants any negative reaction is that he does remember that it’s this event that makes him think about leaving the sketchy gang/mafia.

Here is what actually happened.

Panu’s leading him away still. Viik and Fintan are having a conversation. And Garvin doesn’t look back towards the scene at all either. The body is being dealt with right away though, by Viik. As the conversation is taking place. So they’re a bit caught up in that to really notice Fintan being a creep. Panu is asking him questions too, but he didn’t actually answer any of them. It is the event that makes him think about leaving the sketchy gang/mafia.
