Just thought of a new headcanon with Garvin. - Everyone; "It's a quarter 'til noon." What Everyone Means; "It's 11:45 AM." Garvin; "It's a quarter 'til noon." What Garvin Means; "It's 11:35 AM." - Garvin doesn't realize that a quarter also means 1/4 (which is how most people use it in relation to time, seeing as 1/4 of 60 minutes is 15 minutes and whatnot) Frankly, Garvin probably doesn't know fractions all that much just in general. So, a quarter to him is 25 cents. But he's heard people say 'quarter til this or that time' before. So what has Garvin decided it means? You guessed it. It's still just another way of saying 25. |
