For the jewelry, it will adjust to fit comfortably for the person no matter what, so if someone prefers a choker to a normal neckless, it'll shift to that. The earnings are a little different, they'll always dangle a little, but they'll adjust weight and material to make it more comfortable for the characters. The charm (which is just a simple circle at first) with basically just shift to match the characters symbol like their tattoo.
