What tends to annoy me is when people blatantly don't read my RP info and they PM me the subject: RP? and the message just says: rp? that's a red flag for me chief.

Definietly a thing for me, and it might be because I'm definitely a lot lazier now than I used to be, is sign-ups. The concept might be great, and I'm curious and I have a thought to join and then they have so much required for sign-up and I just... nope. I don't have enough will-power to fill out a sheet like that, gather links, and etc. It's definietly slowed down my roleplaying a lot nowadays. That and few things really sound interesting to me.

A lot of sign-ups make me disinterested purely by how much is needed on the form alone. Link their theme song, link a super long RP example, link random thing here to prove you read the rules, aaa I've never understood the reasoning for Strengths/Weaknesses. i feel like appearance and personality alone, if described well enough, will give you all you need to know. Of course if you want those you can add them, sometimes I add a whole bunch of not important stuff to my sign-up to pretty it up and maaaybe stroke my ego a little bit. but i just don't see the point in it being required, among other things

I feel like a lot of sign-ups (some of mine included) are just a desperate attempt to get people to actually write more than a paragraph about their character. It feels like the more freedom you give people, the less they will do.

I might start allowing people to format their sign up however they choose - provided that they include the basic stuff (name, age, personality, apperance) - and then including a sign-up form for any who might want it. But yeah, it's true that I have make long sign-up sheets just so people will write.

This lmao, with public roleplays I usually have strengths + weaknesses so people don't write perfect characters. If it's a small group/1x1/etc with people I've rp'd with before people can do what they want :>

Does anyone else like,,, noT enjoy doing 1x1's with people you've never spoken to?? I just feel uncomfy the whole time. like i barely know that person so i'm not at all invested in the RP or the characters.

I hardly ever do 1x1s at all because they make me a bit uncomfortable, but I did a few with some random people a while ago and it was weird.

Maybe that's why 1x1's have a hard time getting going. Because I don't know the person. I take forever with character sheets. I normally make pretty bad ones, if I do it sort of quickly.

1x1's are just. eh. it takes a lot to keep me interested in them. same goes for group RPs but I'm far worse in 1x1's
